"Steamed Crabs, Baked mussels, Gambas!" Gold screamed inside.
Gold ordered all her favorites. "This is so great! I love fresh seafood! What are you having?" Cale is staring at her the whole time. She suddenly noticed that someone was calling his phone again and told him. He checked it out. "I'll just take this call." Gold nods in response. "I'll order for you instead." she knows his favorites anyway.
Food being served...
Cale took longer than expected. She stared at the door waiting for him when he suddenly popped out.
There is sadness in his eyes and Gold notices it right away. She remembers the last time he saw him that way. That very moment he left her. Gold pretended not to notice. She wanted him to tell her if something bothered him without asking even though fear was already eating her.
Cale was lost in thoughts when he sat down. "I ordered a huge lobster for you and some baked scallops. I know you like it better than baked mussels" she managed to say. He stared at her and smiled. "Can we take a day off today and file for one week's vacation leave?" he suddenly asked. Worries ran through her body but she managed to nod "I can take care of that. Do you want to go somewhere?"
"Yes, I'll do the planning"
Gold informed Min and Jake right away. She stared at him completely lost in thoughts. They both prepared for their vacation.
Cale made a list of different places they wanted to check out. They're flying to Bohol to see the Marine life and Tarsier and travel by land to Cebu City. He plans on going to the three famous Palawan. El Nido, Puerto Princesa, and Coron afterward. Gold stares at him while he is booking the flights. (Why does it feel like something is wrong?) Gold thought. Cale immediately took her home and helped her prepare to pack their things. "We're leaving tonight," Cale said. She immediately grabbed her stuff and prepared her suitcase. She kept her calm the whole time. She can sense that Cale is going through some rough times. She calls Glaire and Kilk to ask them to look after the fish in the tank while she's gone. "You two have a safe trip!" Glaire said. "Better take him to the Lagoon we went to. You know that's the most beautiful place to see" Kilk said. Cale heard it out loud. "You guys went somewhere nice together?" He asked. "Not me. Just Gold and Kilk" Glaire answered naturally. "Oppps" after realizing what she just said. Cale raised his eyebrow. "We're not going anywhere near that place" He stared at Cale with sharp deadly eyes almost like a knife stabbing him with it. Kilk laughed real hard. "We better leave before he stabs me to death" Gold laughed and waved goodbye.
Cale held her hand the whole flight, very tight. He stares at her in a very sad way. Gold just kept her focus on their destination to prevent herself from worrying but inside her, she is very worried. Gold touched his face and lifted it close to hers. "I'm happy that you're here with me." His eyes almost shed tears. Cale looked away immediately and said, "Me too." She put her head into his chest and slowly fell asleep.
"We have arrived at our destination" Gold slowly opened her eyes as Cale lifted his finger to her cheeks. "We're here!" Her eyes sparkled with happiness.
