Chapter 16 - Practice makes perfect (2)

Sebastian ended up accepting the first offer that the young woman from the auction house told her and taking the money, leaving and looking for the nearest blacksmith.

Sebastian's idea at that time was to search, buy and manufacture his own armor since from the beginning of the game he was still using the initial adventurer equipment which was covered in blood and stains of different substances.

The appearance of guardian of the dunes could also be withdrawn at will if he wished, which he did almost immediately upon leaving the auction house as he was stopped by the guards who questioned his appearance and where he came from in a threatening manner because He looked like a so-called "sand golem" a creature that constantly caused problems.

Sebastian understood that his appearance caused commotion and discomfort in all the NPC that were in the streets, so he decided to obey and look for the blacksmith to create an armor.

The city was called the city of the goddess of light because on several occasions the goddess of light had descended to protect the city during several attacks that it had suffered over the years.

The most remembered attack on the city was called "the day of the great calamity" when the great dark dragon appeared in the heavens threatening to burn every living being at that moment the goddess descended from the heavens and fought the dragon causing great damage to him until a group of heroes appeared and helped to make the great dark dragon flee the city, that was what Sebastian read in a book inside the auction room on a shelf.

Sebastian, on the other hand, was more curious and interested in finding a blacksmith until, after a while, he managed to find a house with a horseshoe sign and two crossed hammers indicating that it was the blacksmith's home.

Sebastian pushed the door slightly, hitting a small bell.

The interior of the blacksmith's house indicated that this was very old and possessed several tools were hung on the walls, the floor had many other weapons and armor and pieces of metal thrown everywhere in all directions.

"I thought a blacksmith would be more orderly" Sebastian told himself walking inside the work house trying not to step on any piece of metal on the floor.

The blows of a hammer could be heard inside the house that came from a basement, but Sebastian refused to go down to not disrespect the owner of the house or to prevent someone from appealing to the city guards if he was caught entering without permission to the house of a person without their consent.

For the moment Sebastian decided to knock the bell on the counter of the blacksmith to try to get his attention, but after 30 minutes of constantly hit the little bell no one was present at the counter and Sebastian got tired of waiting and took a book that had about the counter and then sit down to read it on a nearby bench.

The book explained the methods of metal use, the possibilities of creating objects with the indicated materials and the handling of the fire to be able to forge.

The book also told the story of the first blacksmith who obtained the first flame that he used to forge a weapon, the first of many other objects that the oasis heart world obtained, although many years later the blacksmith's technique was discovered and scattered in the world by different cultures.

"Without a doubt, the game world leapt in stages when discovering the handling of metal." Sebastian told himself moving from one page to the other, finding more and more information about the work of the blacksmiths.

A few notifications appeared on Sebastian's wrist which he completely ignored because he was so immersed in reading.

Blacksmith's basement.

A dwarven blacksmith was working with an orange piece of metal known as Orichalcum which was very difficult to handle or mold due to the large amount of heat it required.

"Hmmmm I thought I heard the bell, I think it was just my imagination." The dwarf blacksmith stood up from his seat and left the bulky hammer on the anvil and then began to climb the stairs.

The dwarf massaged his shoulder because of the discomfort he felt with the old hammer.

"For the goddess I'm too old for this." The blacksmith said to himself opening the door and reaching the counter where he could observe a human of an advanced age reading a book without losing concentration.

The blacksmith remained silent until he noticed that the book that was reading that human was the old book of dwarven methods which only by tradition could be read by dwarves who planned to become blacksmiths in that way the dwarf was convinced if same as that person sought to be a blacksmith.

The dwarf decided not to disturb the person who was sitting and left a hammer with two metal ingots on the counter with a small note on them.

"Use the forge if your heart feels the beat of the metal." The note on the materials said.

The dwarf on the other hand decided to hide using a special ring which made invisible to its carrier, but the hours passed while Sebastian continued reading the book until he reached the last page.

"This human has not moved at all" The dwarf said until he watched as this human closed the book and stood again approaching the counter leaving the book carefully where it belonged.

The blacksmith dwarf had started to get in a bad mood because he watched as the human looked at the materials and tools on the counter, but for some reason he did not take them.
