Chapter 18 - Practice makes perfect (4)

Sebastian continued through the forest to the group of players until at a certain point they stopped and another group of eight people appeared who were as well armed as they were.

On the other hand Sebastian began to worry that they would become hostile to him and that he should flee and lose track of them to save himself.

Now the group that consisted of a total of twelve people walked through the woods laughing and chatting among themselves while the road to the sunken city became shorter and shorter.

...

...

...

Three hours later...

The path through the forest lasted for three hours until the group of twelve people stopped and in the distance Sebastian could see how the valley descended in such a way that it sank and large amounts of water were present within that sunken valley as if It was that a meteorite had fallen and created a crater.

In the middle of this valley dominated by water there was a strange structure as if it were very old which was underwater although the highest structure that seemed to be a castle which was very similar to the Sidon castle of real life, but five or six times bigger and stationed right in the middle of the valley.

On the other hand, the players climbed onto a boat that was waiting for them at the water's edge, which set sail from the shore as soon as the last of their group got on the boat.

"Damn!...¿now what?" Sebastian stayed in the forest until after a while the ship finally reached the castle where it stayed for another long time.

Sebastian's plan was to reach the castle, find the dragon, kill him and take those things that were important and then leave to avoid meeting the group, but his plan made a 360 degree change when he found that the ship belonged to that group.

"...Shit..." Without thinking too much, Sebastian jumped into the water and began to swim to the castle where he had to take a different entrance road as they could be guarding the entrance.

Sebastian wanted to avoid unnecessary bloodshed, so he decided to take an alternate route so as not to meet any member of the group he had been following and so it was possible to observe luck was on Sebastian's side as he found what appeared to be a drain by which he could enter.

"I guess the saying" swim with shit "works here huh?" Sebastian said laughing with his voice low to avoid attracting someone's attention.

Sebastian took a deep breath and plunged into the drainage tunnel swimming until after a couple of minutes he began to feel how the air began to fail, and he managed to find what seemed to be a strange exit that went towards the surface.

More and more he began to feel the sensation that he was drowning until he managed to get out of the water and then take a big breath to recover.

"Shit...Ufff... Shit... I almost died there." Sebastian said being very agitated and scared as he almost died drowned.

Sebastian's body began to feel heavy because he had swum from the mainland to the castle which made him tired a lot, but his determination managed to allow him to reach the castle without sinking into the water.

The interior of the castle where Sebastian was presently seemed to be in terrible condition and on the wall there was a skeleton that was chained to the wall.

"An old prison cell...I must be in the lower section of the castle then." Sebastian told himself realizing where he was or at least that's what he thought.

Sebastian took the bow holding it with one hand and tied the quiver on his waist to have quick access to the arrows in case he had to attack consecutively.

While touring the castle Sebastian could see that his map revealed all the way he had traveled, but no matter how far he walked it seemed that the group of twelve people he had seen was no longer present in the castle until he found what seemed to be an elevator that still worked, but that oddly descended even further into the depths of the earth.

Sebastian without much encouragement decided to climb the elevator which began to descend without him moving a finger which only made feel a bad feeling of all that.

As he continued to descend, Sebastian could see that something was moving in the absolute darkness, something very big, too big until what seemed to be an arm hit the device in which he was throwing it against a wall falling in the depths of that place and the last thing that could be heard was Sebastian's cry of despair and fear.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!" Sebastian hugged tightly to one of the sections of the device until at one point he could not take it anymore and it went off falling on what appeared to be a wooden floor, but this was unable to see anything since the darkness was absolute.

Sebastian remained conscious for a few seconds observing that his health had reached a critical point.

HP: 73/4391

"I hate...elevators." Sebastian began to feel sleepy and his eyelids were unable to keep his eyes open, and he ended up losing consciousness.

...

...

...

"The damn dragon destroyed the elevator, we'll have to take an alternate path." A young man with a torch observed the part where the elevator was supposed to be and that young man also managed to deduce that the dragon destroyed it, but what he could not decipher was why.

"Let's go, we waste time here, we have to look for the alternative way." The young man said leaving with a group of 15 people behind him, clearly that group was not the same group that Sebastian had been following.
