Chapter 29 - Map results and city investigation.

---Inside Lord Tang's residence, same day as the Minister of affairs received Zhul City's aid request---

Sat around a simple table was a man with a war torn body. Scars from the beasts he fought, wisdom in his eyes from dealing with crafty gods. Next to him was a woman that could only be described as a common beauty. Think small town middle of no where's Ms. Beauty padgent winner. Across from the two was their daughter, she came to visit and ask for help from daddy.

"So that's the story. Can you please take a look at the map daddy? If that old prune is right, I've probably been lead astray for at least two weeks." Princess Fang ended with after explaining the map discovery and what the old admiral said.

It was at this point an enraged voice sounded out. "So when were you going to tell me you have our daughter searching for someone who can fool even your old buddies?! Hmmm?! I already know she isn't as strong as they are, and YOU STILL HAVE HER HUNTING ONE!?"

"Hunting is such a strong word. I had only asked for his silence and to come to me to explain. I sent her to escort him to me. From the reports I was given, Germal went insane from something he shouldn't have seen. He then disappeared. Even if he is insane, he will not do anything to my family." Lord Tang replied calmly. Still seated full of peace, even with his wife standing next to him berating him.

His wife continued to grumble under her breath as she sat back down. "Now show me this map you found."

His daughter pulled out the map she and her team found and laid it in front of her father. "That monk you assigned found a couple of layered illusions which he removed."

Lord Tang nodded at his daughter's words, as he took a look at the map. His eyes glowed with a golden light as he looked. "Hmm... there is no other illusions. This is what is actually written on the map."

Princess Fang had a shocked look on her face, as she opened her mouth to speak there was a knock on the door. "Lord Tang, I apologize for the interruption, but there is a request from Zhul city that ministry is unable to provide a proper solution to, and has requested for you to look at it." said a voice from behind the door.

"Come in, lets see this request." After getting permission from Lord Tang, a little girl opened the door and entered the minister of affairs.

The minister bowed and greeted everyone in the room. "Lord, we received a request for mediation and a curse removal. The city believes they may have offended someone at the variant stage with a level of at least 60. Our records don't show anyone of that stage or level around the area. We also do not have anyone of the same or greater power to dispatch to evaluate the situation."

After reporting, the minister handed over the folder containing the request. Reading the request caused Lord Tang to have a frown. "A curse to make food and drink taste terrible? Daughter, is there any of those gods that have curses grown in power recently?"

"No Father. Also, those with curses aren't something that can affect an area, at least not inatantly or without being noticed. They would spread like a plague with one to two, two to four, four to eight and so on." replied after pondering for a moment. "It could be a new god in some remote corner, but that would effect the other gods. And none of them have gone in a rage due to a new god." she added.

Lord Tang sighed. He tapped his finger on the table as he contemplated. "Guess I'll have to take a trip to Zhul City. Minister, alert the city that we are sending an investigator, use the War time messaging. Don't tell them it is me. Don't want to cause a panic. You'll come with me daughter, should be a good learning experience for you. We'll leave in a few minutes."

"Yes Lord.", "Yes father." both the minister and princess Fang replied. The minister bowed and left to inform the city.

---Zhul City, twenty minutes later---

Inside the city hall, the assistant mayor, the sect leader of the Earthern Warriors and various other officials waited outside a room with luxurious doors. A purple plaque with gold letters spelling Tang was hung above the door.

There was a flash of golden light, and the doors opened. After the light faded there was two figures shrouded in a black fog. Naturally these two were Lord Tang and princess Fang. "Hmm... I feel an energy subtly effecting me. It's filling up the air. Tell me, can you feel it?" The raspy monotone voice of Lord Tang sounded out. Of course he didn't actually sound like this, but was an effect of the black fog. It perfectly masked those surrounded by it.

"No I don't. I don't feel any changes outside the amount of energy saturation." Princess Fang took a moment to try and sense the differences her father noticed. Her voice was also the same raspy monotone as her father's.

"S, so, there is a, a curse upon this city?" asked the nervous assistant mayor. Her was trembling from the mere presences of the two. It was her first time being so close to anyone from the Tang family.
