"Where does the light come from?"
It looks at its sword and then looks up, seeing nothing but an empty sky. The energy that was settled in its bones seemed to push against the grip, trying to enter. It started walking forward, looking for its next opponent. Soon, it stumbled across something new. A huge obelisk, piercing into the sky. The mist seemed to swirl around it, staying about 50 feet back. It watched as an Undead walked forward in a trance towards it and then obsorbed, not unlike how it grew in power. It saw strange markings covering it and wondered what it meant. More Undead came out of the mist and walked towards the obelisk. An easy way to get more powerful. It moved forward, slashing through Undead left and right.
Suddenly, it was sent flying. It quickly got up and looked over, seeing a new kind of Undead. Only bones like itself, but wielding a round object and a long pointed stick. A shield and spear. This undead settled into a stance, unrefined and broken, but a stance none the less. There was flicker of red in its green eyes. A sign of intelligence perhaps? It didn't matter. It was threat and must fall. The shield would be a nice addition though. It started circling the shielded Undead, looking for a good time to strike. It didnt have to wait long. This Undead was much slower then it. It struck the back of its knee, causing it to kneel before decapitating it quickly. The light entered it and it felt a boost much stronger then it had before. That red light seemed to indict it was stronger then most. As it picked up the shield, it caught a glimpse of the obelisk through it. I can see myself it thought. It turned the shield and saw itself staring back. The same face as all the others, but the eyes. Oh its eyes. A bright, burning blue flickered in its empty sockets. Azure. Thats what it would go by. With a sudden bit of fanfare..

Azure stared forward, trying to understand why this was an achievement that this "system" seemed to celebrate. It dismissed it and equiped the shield, getting used to weight on its left arm. The shield tapered at the edge. Maybe it could use the rim to hit someone? Azure started moving forward, slaughtering Undead left and right. It didnt see the fleshy or shielded Undead again. Maybe they were special? As it circled the obelisk, it began to think back to when it started, reflecting on itself. There were questions still unanswered, things it still wanted to know. It noticed that the mist was slowing down and settling, still 50 feet away from the obelisk. The obelisk lit up with a grey light, the markings filling with it. After a moment it died down, going dormat.
Against its better judgement, Azure began creeping forward. It reached out with its shielded hand, touching the giant spire. It felt it pulling on its soul, trying to obsorb it, but it was blocked by the energy in its bones. Azure tried to pull on its soul, or the next best thing and it was flooded with power. The mist kicked back up, swirling furiously as the obelisk light up, glowing the same blue of its eyes instead of grey.

Azure yanked its hand back and stumbled, surprised by the amount of notifications. A new title, path and an upgraded one with more achievements?? Is this normal? As it looked around, it realized that the mist had cleared up for as far as it could see. How big was medium? It watched as the aimless undead turned and began walking towards it, stopping 20 feet away before kneeling with its head down. More and and more began pouring over and assuming the same stance. Azure noticed a few fleshy Undead and shielded Undead around.
"Stand"
Azure spoke, truely spoke for the first time. Instead of a voiceless whisper, a thought out into the darkness, came a deep, ancient voice. In tandem, the Undead stood, their heads bowed. Azure felt a new sensation. It felt similar to when it had gained a level, but also different. A sense of accomplishment, of power. It was filled with pride. With a single word it commanded a horde to stand and they obeyed. It wanted to do more, command more. More. it always came back down to more. As it looked out at the horde, it was caught by surprise. Another shielded Undead was staring back. Instead of just a little bit of red in its eyes, there was huge amount, with just a flicker of green left over. Azure pointed to it and motioned for it to come closer. The horde parted before the red eyed Undead, letting it past, their heads still bowed. Once it got close, it kneeled like it had before.
"I name you Crimison"
The words left Azures mouth before it could comprehend why and it watched as a red most spilled out of Crimison before flowing back in. It stood and looked into Azure's eyes, its eyes a deep, flowing red.
"My lord.."
Crimison's voice was deep, like Azure's, but it was sharp and piercing, which was different from his ancient, infallible voice. Azure held out his hand and Crimison took it, both of them gripping it tightly.
"You will be my second."
Crimison nodded, a flash of happiness going through its eyes.
"What do we do my Lord?"
Azure dropped Crimison's arm and looked around.
"We need to grow more powerful, find more obelisks and awaken more of us. We can't be the only ones."
Crimison nodded.
"It says im the 6th born.. what does that mean?"
Azure looked over quickly, surprised.
"I am the First Born. I assume that means that there are four others out there like us. Awakened. They could be allies or enemies. We must be careful.
Let us send out groups of five undead to search outside the area of my control. Hopefully they run into more Obelisks for us take and the rest of the Awakened."
Crimison nodded and began directing the horde. Azure watched at they split off into different groups and spread out.
"My lord, what about us. What should we do?"
Azure called up his System Status.

Crimison was more melee focused while Azure was more balanced. Azure looked over towards Crimison and grinned as best he could.
"What will we do? We'll go and fight. Its how we get stronger."
"Then why didn't we eat the others?"
"Because, i didnt think of that. And if the other 4 are hostile and take Obelisks, they'll have Undead under their command. We cant fight an army by ourselves, not yet anyway."
Crimison nodded, a look of understanding flashing through his eyes. Azure handed Crimison his shield and had him absorb it so his shield became better. It felt right having his other hand free. Once they were adjusted, they began walking east of the obelisk. Off towards more freelance undead and possible more Awakened. Off to become more powerful.
