Chapter 1 - Are you okay there?

Cora

'"Run away, run away" these were the last words that she heard her mother say. That night was her birthday but neither was she greeted by any gifts, lightings or crackers instead she was welcomed by the flooded blood that filled the hall. 'The white cake, the pictures, the walls everything was covered with dark red colour and I there were mom and dad laying on the floor, covered with blood, the face that used to give me a big cheerful smile were now crying in pain. With all these horrible scenes I saw a dark shadow running towards a shining door and then vanished in seconds. I didn't know who he was or what he was doing there but I was sure he was the one who brought my parents to this state.' She woke up, the sun was shining from the window and she was laying on her bed crying. Cora had dreamed this night many times after the incidence. Even though this happened 4 years back but she still can't forget that night. After that day she never has celebrated her birthday, every time when her birthday comes, she cries all night in her bed from the horror of the horrible night.

Cora got up from her bed and walked towards the mirror that was placed right next to her bed. She hated to look into the mirror, looking into the mirror is the worst part. I have always hated mirror, and not only because it makes me feel ugly or dirty but because it not only reflects my image but also my thoughts. No matter how I try hard to hide my feelings but coming in front of the mirror makes all of them come out. I am really a strange girl, which girl hates mirror? She took a shower, changed and headed to her car. It was too cold outside. 'I just hope the snow won't fall. ' Cora couldn't drive in snow, it was too tough for her. Whenever she drove in snow she got into accident.

Arthur

"Hello passenger of flight 52C03, I am your captain Arthur Mathew, and I hope you have a pleasant journey ahead"

Soon the flight was on the runaway heading to take off. As the plane ran on the run track and took off, the breezes, the leaves, the land, everything started to be left behind. 'The bad people, the good people, the bad people who pretend to be good people and the good people who don't try hard to be bad, just everything going right behind you. Every time the plane take-off I feel like I am free off my acting job. That is, we all have two jobs with us every time and we do both of them in the sometime. First one is the job we all work hard for like engineer, doctor etc and the second one is the acting job which we all have mastered in. where we all just put up a fake smile on our face, some do this for surviving in this world and some do this for betraying each other. Every time we entre in the office you can't be the real you. You are not free to express your feelings so that you don't become an outcast. Finally, our society becomes a whole industry of acting and drama. But I hate these things. So, instead of forgetting my real self I rather like to be an outcast.'

Every time when the plane took off, he would have these thoughts in his mind but he was not like this from the start. He used to be that Arthur who everyone wanted to friends, a cheerful smile, handsome face, friendly and always happy Arthur. But everyone changes the more they start to be familiar with the humans of earth. You get in trouble, your career ends, your relationships end, your friendships end and eventually your end comes too. Life is like that to Arthur.

After several hours went on and the flight finally landed. He got of the plane and went straight into his hotel. He didn't have any schedule for the entire week and didn't had any plans too. Just when a phone call came in Arthur stared at the phone for while and picked it up after several calls. He put the phone on speaker and threw it on his table.

"Hi, Arthur" a low male voice came. He didn't reply. "I know you don't wanna talk but I know you are in Alberta. Please, I you have time can we meet. I want to end up every misunderstandi.."

"what misunderstanding" he shouted "from what I know is that we don't share any misunderstanding. I just don't wanna remember and of the past's horrible incidence which happened. So, I beg you Justin, leave-me-alone." He hanged the phone.

'Even though sometimes we think we can forget the past and move on but the past walks with us wherever we go. The future may change the path but the past wont, it haunts you in every step you take further and is with you in your success, your failure, and even when you die. Every step you take forward the footprints are stamped upon your book of life and that is your history, your past.'
