It was noon when she arrived at home. She sat on her swing chair with a cup of coffee in one hand. And turned on the radio, her favourite song was playing When you hold me tight – Yael Meyer. When ever she heard the song, she begins to dance. She was dancing now too, and sang along.
Love, is the sweetest dream,
Now that you are everything to me,
The moon, the stars, the sky can shine all long tonight,
And I only have eyes for you
Just when her phone rang. This was interrupting but she picked up the call, it was from Aunt Jennifer. "Hello," she answered,
"Cora, umm.. listen I want you to come to the hospital, we are having a little trouble." She said, her voice was serious.
"what, hospital?" she was terrified. The only thing she could think of was her grandma. "is something wrong? Is everyone okay?" 'would grandma be okay' 'is she hurt' 'is someone hurt' she wanted to ask everything but her aunt hung the phone. hello, hel
A message came to her phone. She reached for her coat, wore it and went outside. She had to take taxi, it was snowing heavily and she was scared of driving in the snow. She looked outside and all the haunted thoughts clouded in her mind 'will everything be okay' 'I dont want to experience another tragedy' ' I dont want anything to happen to anyone like my mom and dad'. As the taxi moved the cold air outside felt even more cold on her teary face.
Soon she reached the destination, and went inside running in the corridor. She asked if any one form her family was there in the hospital. "Mrs Rose john is here are you one of her family member?" the help desk girl answered
What grandma is here? how? has something happened to her? "yes i am" she said.
She ran to her room and every step she took, a shiver ran through her body. When she reached the room and peeped through the window, she could see her grandmas heartbeat going down in the monitor. The sound beep.. beep.....bee....... was more than enough to scare her.
She died.
Her only family, died.
