After Allen returned to the order, it was like things returned to how they used to be. His isolation feeling like a bad dream except for the occasional times Link prevented Allen from doing something.
Two weeks later, Allen was approved to go on a mission with Kanda and Marie. With Link following along of course. Apparently there have been reports of a thief in Paris that Is unable to be caught no matter how many times the police arrest him.
Hundreds of suspects have been arrested but none are the Phantom Thief G. When even a few of their finders were arrested, that's when the black Order approved of exorcists appearing.
Allen was in his room packing when Neah spoke to him.
[It seems your plan is coming along. Even your assumed time table is accurate. That's amazing Allen.]
'Not really. Thanks to our memories, I'm able to read Levellier like an open book. He's a prideful man that puts his own mission above everything else. I don't need to Know what mission that is to guess what he'll do.'
'It doesn't take a smart person to realize how thin our forces are spread out. Sooner or later, they would need to use me. Regardless of their hesitations.'
[….]
'I'll be careful, Neah. I can't fall down so quickly after coming this far, right?'
[You're right. Like always, Allen.]
"Hehe…." He chuckles and Timcanpy flies onto his shoulder.
The golem was bigger than before and somewhat heavier as well. That didn't stop him from rubbing its head like a child. He and the golem head to the main portal area to be transported to their destination.
Ever since his awakening, he's felt disgusted watching his family's home being violated by the very species that murdered his mother. He tempers the rage in a cocoon of a bright future.
"Beansprout. Pay attention." Kanda clicked his teeth.
"It's good to see you again, Allen." Marie smiles at the younger boy.
"It's good to see you too, Marie. You've been on a long streak of missions right?" He smiles up at the older exorcist. "Did you have a good rest?"
"Yeah…" Marie was shocked that the younger didn't yell at Kanda for calling him 'Beansprout'.
"I'm glad."
"The portal to Paris will be opening in 30 seconds." A lab tech says from a speaker.
'It's time, if all goes to plan I'll be meeting some Noah on this mission. I hope it's not Wisely though…' Allen shivers thinking about the Noah of Wisdom.
The portal opens and they walk inside. On the other side lay a church that Allen remembers was in Paris from over 200 years ago. It's been repaired many times since then, but he recognized it immediately.
"Bon après-midi, exorcistes." A priest walks up to them.
"Bon après-midi, Prêtre." Allen responded fluently.
"Ah, somebody who speaks my language. How invigorating." The priest begins speaking in English after the surprise.
"I'm glad I could invigorate you, Priest." The white haired Noah smiles gently and the man felt a soothing in his soul.
"I wish we had more time to talk, but duty calls." the priest walks to a door and opens it. "You'll find some finders on the other side. May god be with you…." He prays while forming a cross on his chest.
The trio of exorcists and single investigator walk toward the police station to talk with the person in charge of the Phantom Thief G investigation. On the way, they meet a young woman outside the station and Allen looked past her to see a young child with a bandana over his forehead.
His eye activated causing both Marie and Kanda to draw their weapons.
"It's fine, guys…my eye changed when my innocence evolved." Allen calmly walked to the woman who blushes at his approach.
"Um…" he stepped past her and walked to the kid behind.
"What do you want?" The boy was wary.
"Timothy!? You shouldn't be so rude to people and why aren't you at the orphanage!" The woman yelled and pinches the boy's ears.
"Ow ! That hurts Emilia!"
"…that's an interesting orb in your head, Timothy was it?" Allen's voice made the boy stop still and hide behind the woman.
"Allen? What do you-"
"It's innocence, Marie. My eye can sense it along with Akuma now."
"That's amazing!" The blind exorcist was happy but also sad at this.
"What's innocence?" Timothy asks as it might explain how he's been able to take over people's body's.
"Innocence….is a weapon." Allen explains and kneels down on one knee. "It allows you to fight things called Akuma."
"Are you guys a cult or something?" Emilia blocks Timothy behind her. "I would ask that you stay away from Children…"
"Tch! We're not a cult you stupid woman-"
"We kind of are, Kanda." Allen dusts off his pants after saying this. "In a way, the Black Order is."
"Let's go Timothy. You shouldn't listen to strangers like them."
"But you told me to be nice to strangers- ow!"
"That's that and this is this! Make sure to not confuse the two."
"Stupid Emilia…."
Allen watches them leave with a smile and heads inside the police station. That night, they caught the phantom thief G who turned out to be another innocent bystander. then, Link was taken over and he fought Allen but didn't even scratch the teen.
The next morning, the group arrived at an orphanage and met with Timothy again. This time, Marie tried to convince the boy much harder making Allen frown.
"Timothy…." His gentle tone made the boy stop crying. "Do you want me to remove it?"
"Can you!? I'm called a freak all the time because of it!" The young boy hoped it would be removed.
"You can't do that, Beansprout." Kanda scoffed. "Once an innocence bonds with it's host, the only way to remove it is to kill them."
"W-what!? You can't kill Me! I still need to save up money for the orphanage and eat all the food I want and…and…and….waaaah!!!" He cries out loud making the swordsman click his teeth.
"I'm not going to hurt you, Timothy. Just stay still, please?"
The orphan did as asked and closed his eyes. His flinching expression made Allen smile a little. His hand slowly reached for the orb and touched it.
Marie was ready to do something if anything goes wrong.
"Come….it's time to go home….your real home…" he speaks in a language neither exorcists understand and light blinds them.
When they could see again, an orb was in Allen's hand growing green and Timothy's head was free of any oddities. The boy cheered for the disappearance of the innocence and Allen chuckles at his antics.
In an instant, his expression morphed and he activated crown clown just in time to protect Timothy, Kanda, and Marie. The roof collapsed letting Allen see the outside as a void.
'Entrapment Barrier?' He could tell what the skulls have done thanks to his memory and title.
Marie caught the level 3 Akuma that caused the destruction in his wires before Kanda sliced it in half.
[Allen! They're here….] Neah could feel the Noah approaching him.
'Just as planned….' Allen pockets the innocence and looks to the exorcists still wondering what's happening.
"Marie…" he whispers. "Take Kanda and the kid. I'll stay behind."
"Allen?" Marie was confused.
Allen uses one hand to form a Seal that lets him control this barrier for a few seconds. He allows the three to leave along with the rest of the orphanage and then stops interfering. In another location, Four Skulls were forming the barrier.
"Master Vastator is still much more learned than us it seems…" a skull comments.
"He created us and the spells we use. There are even ones we can't use due to the magnitude of knowledge required." Another explains.
"…" the other two are silent.
Allen walked up the stairs slowly and met the two Noah he actually wanted to see most. Ninth apostle of dreams, Road Kamelot and Third Apostle of Pleasure, Tyki Mikk. Along with 20 Level 3 Akuma.
His entrance made road run to him happily.
"Allen~~! I'm so glad to see you again!" She hugs him despite the innocence and it doesn't hurt her.
"It's nice to see you too, Road. Even if you just wanted to ascertain my innocence's abilities." He whispers the second sentence so only she could hear making her embarrassed.
"Haha, Road sure has a one track mind, Right boy?" Tyki asks while releasing some smoke.
"True…but what's with this greeting? 20 level 3 Akuma just for me?"
"The Earl is interested in you Allen~! He wants to know more about your abilities~~." Her sweet tone made him smile a little as if he remembered something from a Long time ago.
"I see…." Allen let's go of Road and she hops to Tyki on the other side. "Then Shall we dance, Earl?" His use of the word 'dance' made the Earl in the black ark crush the tea cup in his hand.
"Hahaha! I can let loose!"
"Let's go!"
"I can smell innocence!"
"Yes." Allen nods and grabs something in his pocket.
A pale green object with two rings appears making the Noah across from him frown in anger. He watches this and his face had a sad smile appear on it.
"You've forgotten what this is, haven't you? What it is to you….to us…" he whispers the last two words making nobody but him hear it.
"It's innocence!!" An Akuma appeared to his left and punches toward Allen.
Crown Clown uses its cape to block the attack easily. Allen doesn't even look at the Akuma as a white and gold sword appears in his hand and slices the weapon in half. Tyki and road were a little surprised at the speed he showed as its much faster than he used to be.
"It used to be something important to you…something you would never hate if you just remember…." The other Akuma are around him using their dark matter to try to kill him but the cape is impenetrable to their attacks.
"It's fine though….I remember…." He stares at the strongest Akuma and his eyes turn gold.
Allen throws his sword with a spin and it slices all Akuma that it passes.
"Hahah! He threw away his weapon let's get hi-" the Akuma that was in the opposite side of the throw didn't finish because the sword cut him in half. "Huh…?"
"This sword is a part of me. you didn't think I could control it?" The exorcist asks indifferently as the machine exploded.
All of the Akuma did at the same time as if time itself was on pause until he spoke. Road paused as a hazy figure was overlaid Allen's and she felt a pang of immense sadness hit her.
Tyki appeared behind him and goes to punch his head, but the cape blocked him easily.
"Not a bad punch, Tyki." Allen glanced at him with a smirk.
"Heh….Hahahahaha!! This is so amazing, Boy!" Tyki laughed insanely. "You were so weak when I first saw you, then you reappeared in front of me and almost killed me!"
"Now, you're stronger again and you're a Noah? How laughable!" His insane rambling unnerved both Road and Allen.
"Tyki…." Her mumble was only heard by the white haired teen.
Allen let go of him and released Crown Clown's activation. This made Tyki confused and calmed down.
"I assume Lulu has awoken? Considering your presence here?" His use of her nickname made The Noah of Pleasure frown.
"What's wrong? Are you angry that I may have done something bad to her? Our dear sister?"
"You're not her brother!" Tyki shouts and causes the air to explode. "Siblings don't kill other siblings! I may enjoy the boy's antics but if you talk about my family like-" Allen seemed to teleport behind him and wrapped his arm around his throat with ease and placed the other arm behind it in a chokehold.
"Tyki Mikk….I take a certain responsibility for not properly dealing with you in the ark. I wasn't fully awake then….however….." his tone got angry, to the point they shivered. "If you say one more time that I'm not Lustol's family, I will be angry. You can trust me on that, brother…" he whispers the last sentence before appearing back in his previous spot.
"….."
"Have you calmed down now?" Allen's eyes were gold and his skin tuned grey. "You know….what's sad…." Tears fall from his cheeks. "Even though you yell and say those things, I still love you. Even though you used your pet to eat a part of my heart, it still calls for you…." He pats his chest gently and The two Noah felt his depression.
"I am tasked with making our family right again. I will not let anyone, not even you, get in the away of that…." His tears stop and Allen's expression went cold.
"Now come!" His body went into a strange stance that they both recognized and didn't. "I will show you why I was deemed the strongest of our family, despite being the youngest."
