Chapter 6 - A NEW BORN GUARDIAN

Head Araw's roaring voice echoed to their ears. Everyone's complexion became pale. They immediately stopped, tidied up themselves and stand up straight as if nothing happened.

But the Head does not seem to forget the mess they made. Knitted brows together with his firmly pressed lips show how irritated he is.

"We're doomed!" They thought.

"Head Araw, the milflores is starting to have formed." Vice-head Huan tried to divert the attention of Head Araw and he successfully managed to do it.

"You're right, Vice-head Huan!" His expression drastically changed into ecstasy.

Petals flew and spun above in a spiral form. It emitted a red luster.

Silence came.

Everyone's eyes were fixated to the flower.

The red color milflores' petals magically formed into a 5-year-old boy.

Swishhhhh!

Light engulfed the surrounding. Even though the light is an eyesore, it's nothing to the ten great Guardian. They can clearly see the sight to behold.

The human-form petals begin to change into human-like skin.

"A new guardian will be born today!" The Head murmured with a smile.

Baam!

The human-form petals came into life.

The little guardian slowly walked towards the Narra tree unconsciously. He put his palm to its trunk and a handprint can be seen. He surged his life force towards the tree. He radiated a white light while the tree emits green light. Visible force sucked up the life of force of the little guardian.

One breathe

Two breathe

Five breathe

Ten breathe

Twenty breathe

Sixty breathe

Continuously releasing his life force, the little guardian's complexion became visibly white.

'It's my time to shine.' Head Araw gleefully thought.

The Head walked near to the child about 20 meters away. He makes sure that the other flowers just sitting on their respective roots will not be disturbed.

He held the scepter with both hands and activated it with his golden heavenly energy. He aimed the tip of the scepter to the child and it shot powerful energy that enveloped the child. Sweats run down to the Heads forehead as he slowly pulled the child away from the tree.

Zuuuuuzuuuuuuzuu

"Head Araw, the child's life force begun to fade. Hurry up!" Vice-head Cesa said anxiously. The child paleness was beyond anticipated.

"He is trying his best. Can't you see? Don't bother him." Vice-head Bay uttered anxiously too.

The 9 Vice-head begin to shed sweats in their forehead too.

"The force of that child is too strong." Vice-head Luna said with a composed posture, but deep inside, he was worried too.

"You're right." The other nodded.

Naturally, a newborn guardian can be easily pulled away from the Narra tree, but there are some instances that the Head need extra effort. As such, the newborn guardian is said to have a strong soul and will power. They are the kind of guardian that will do anything to achieve their goals.

Even if they don't have a memory yet, the newborn guardians' instinct aims to help produce seed as much as they can without realizing that their life was on the line. Yes! The Narra tree produces seeds of the milflores through the life force of a newborn guardian; more milflores, more guardians that will exist. Their life force serves as foods to the flowers too.

Ten thousand years ago, offering 1 percent of their life force was already enough. It is because they had more population at that time and new born guardians were not few. But after the Great War, the after-effect was beyond what they anticipated.

According to their history, seventy percent of guardians were sent to the human world to assist the war. Unfortunately, they didn't expect an attack from behind; that the true target was their land.

The demons only sent 20 percent of their army in the human world. The rest targeted their land.

They protected the front defense and managed to drive the demons away, but the consequences were beyond their imagination. More than half of the guardians met their demise, infrastructures were destroyed, and the greatest loss that made everyone felt helpless was the tainted of the Most Holy Land.

Ten thousand milflores had been destroyed leaving only two hundred in number. The Narra tree had been tainted. It takes them 100 years to remove the dark energy inside which result to decrease in a number of the milflores again and increase of the offering life force that results of decrease of their population.

Head Araw used his inner energy realizing that the deficiency of his heavenly energy to bring forth the power of the scepter was not enough. 'Damn it!' He murmured.

The little guardian felt the weakness of the Narra tree and unconsciously wanted to help it but the head would not just stand still until he lost his life before he knew it.

The Head pull him over with a little caution. The little guardian was after all fragile to recieve a forced energy.

Half meter

One meter

Ten meters

Twenty meters away from the Narra tree

The child was now in front of the Head.

The child was still unconscious with his eyes closed.

Head Araw inhaled a turbid of air. Grasping his breath heavily, he wiped his sweat.

"Are you okay, Head Araw?" asked Vice-head Cesa.

"Of course, the Head will be fine. Did you forget the incident that he spouted a mouthful of blood and rest for seven days, but he is still full of glee knowing the child lived? That's the most terrifying scene I have ever seen, but he was able to pull it off." Vice-head Ino said enthusiastically while remembering that event.

"Right! That was the most dangerous toil of the Head I have ever seen too!" Vice-head Venancio said in agreement. "Who was it again?"

"Her name is Tala!" Vice-head Luna replied.

Hearing the name Tala, they all put a bitter smile.

Tala might have the horrible record among the guardians they have pulled, but she has the worst attitude they have not anticipated.

"She has the greatest desire to help our kind unconsciously, but these days, I couldn't see it in her." Vice-head Luna grimaced.

The other great guardians nodded in agreement.

"Head Araw, do you know the origin of that scepter?" Vice-head Venancio asked.

"This is a scepter of a holy being from heaven, that's all I know." The Head chuckled.

"Oh, Head, did our ancestors tell you who the owner of that scepter is?" Vice-head Luntian asked with widened eyes.

"According to the Holy Record that was passed to every Head, this scepter belongs to one of the great commanders of heaven." The Head said gleefully.

"Really?" wide eyes looked at the Head intently. Although they were closed to each other, this was the first time they asked about the origin of the scepter.

"Legend says, there are great commanders in heaven. They are the beings one can't imagine, but I really know nothing about them." Head Araw stuck out his lips. No records even just their discription can be found.

"Do you know how strong it can be?" Vice-head Paras asked. He was a fanatic of strong weapons. He has a lot of collections of weapons.

"I don't know either. But one thing for sure, I can only manage to use a scrap of its power." The Head said proudly.

"Just a scrap?" Everyone was flabbergasted.

"If it was just a scrap, it might be really a powerful weapon, but the energy needed was too great. Who will be able to bring forth its full power?" Vice-head Paras asked curiously.

"I have no idea either." The Head answered. "Maybe the commander itself."

Before they could continue their conversation, they noticed the little guardian who slightly moved.

"Huh?" The child opened his eyes.

"Oh! Hello, little one. What can we call you?" Head Araw asked.

"My name?" The child thought for a moment.

Suddenly, a surge of knowledge rushed into the child's mind. They were only basic knowledge such as his identity and a little survival instinct. This was one of the guardian's unique natures.

"Oh! My name is Pula." The child said with a cute smile on his face. "Guardian Pula pays respect to the elders!" He clasped his fist and bowed.

AN: Narra tree and milflores were a real deal. I just exaggerated it and wrote some characteristics they truly don't have. (Peace!) Narra tree and milflores are two different plants. They aren't related to what I had written.
