Chapter 7 - ADASA'S DISCOVERY (1)

Pula raised his hand. He had the urge to release his energy, so he just did what needed to be done. His little right hand solidified a thing using his energy. A long pointed weapon was materialized. It was not that strong and hard, but it was enough to kill a low level full grown demon.

That's how strong the guardian is. A newborn guardian can already easily kill a demon, how frightening they were if it became an adult.

"Woah! What a cute little spear!" Head Araw praised witnessing the child materializing his own weapon.

The nine Vice-head were bewildered.

"Head Araw, how many guardians have materialized their weapon upon their birth at our era?" Vice-head Huan asked with excitement.

"Five and with this little one here, it was a total of six." Head Araw said haughtily.

"Your lead, Head Araw was blessed by heaven. In our history, there were only 2-4 newborn guardians per decade that can materialize their weapon upon their birth, but right now the number was a miracle." Vice-head Huan said.

"Vice-head Huan, you forgot the fact that we have only less than a hundred milflores here, but the number of the idiosyncratic guardians was incredible. This was totally a miracle." Vice-head Nina said with admiration to her face.

The milflores that Pula had housed, shrank. A minute later, it became a sprout again. No one knew how long it will take to bloom again.

There were other milflores that were acting up, showing signs of blooming. The Great Guardians spent their night in the Holy Land, making sure that the new born guardians will live. That day was the miracle day they were waiting for - the blooming of milflores after a decade of waiting, and there was a total of five little guardians who were born.

'Hooo! Thank goodness I didn't bet up with Vice-head Cesa or else I would have lost again!' Head Araw thought.

"What a waste. I should have won if you, Head Araw didn't coward!" Vice-head Cesa pouted.

'What the heck. Coward your head! If I had a bet, what would you think my situation would be? I will clearly be found in a garbage, dunk for being too poor.' Head Araw almost spouts out a mouthful of blood.

He cleared his throat and said, "We've spent so much time here. Let's go back."

...

An hour after the departure of Tala in the library, Adasa heed back to his residence. He wanted to forget what she had said but the thought of gaining incredible strength was tantalizing. After hours of sleepless thoughts, he decided to proceed to the Forbidden Mountain.

'Tala's note says to go to that forbidden mountain. She said it was rich in natural energy. I doubt her, but there's no harm if I try, right? Although it is a resting place of beasts, with the map written on the note, there's no danger for sure if I follow it!' Adasa console himself.

'It was said forbidden and no one, except the Head, can enter it. I wonder why?'

The moon was shining bright while the stars were twinkling non-stop.

At the top of a mountain, near a lake, a young man sat cross leg while meditating. A moment later, a gust of life-like wind circled him. His body was shrouded with his heavenly energy and he started to absorb the surrounding energy. The natural energy seemed attracted to his body as it sipped through his pores.

Five minutes later...

Fifty minutes

One hour

Three hours

The young man inhaled a turbid of air. Opening his eyes, his brows arched and jaw dropped. The pace of purifying his heavenly energy with the method he used was horrifying. He also felt his inner energy growing stronger.

He closes his eyes again and starts to meditate, forgetting the sense of time.

Two hours

Three hours had passed.

"What a great purifying method. If I continue at this pace, I will definitely enter the second level in the next two days!" Adasa widened his eyes. In order to advance to the 4th class, he needs to reach the second purification level.

'If this method is so horrifying, why she willingly imparted this to me? We were not in good terms, so why?' Adasa thought. "Forget it. I will just ask her directly."

Adasa stood up. He was going to leave the premise when an abrupt voice ran to his ears.

"Wait! Little man…" The voice in the dark uttered.

"Wh… who are you?" Adasa stutteringly asked. The voice seemed like it was transmitted directly to his mind. 'Telepathy?'

"Don't be afraid. I am a friend!" The voice stated.

"A f. f.f... friend? If you are a friend, why are you hiding in the dark?" Adasa asked anxiously. 'If this one was a nemesis, how did he enter our land? I felt a strong aura as strong as the Head. Was this the reason why we were forbidden to enter this mountain? Oh, no! I'm doomed.'

The sky above Adasa started to darken as if something big covered above. Adasa was frozen seeing a wonderful sight above him.

"You... You are the legendary Phoenix," Adasa stattered. 'How... h..how did this happen?' He was trembling in surprise.

The five meters tall Phoenix emitted dazzling silver light.

"Legendary Phoenix? Child, I was just a Silver Phoenix, far from being legendary." The Silver Phoenix chuckled. Legendary Phoenix was the existence that every one of their species adheres to achieve. So, hearing Adasa's words, the Phoenix's heart moved a little bit. Of course, to be assumed as a Legendary Phoenix was flattery words in his ears. "I am a Silver Phoenix. My name is Enix. You can call me sir Enix."

"Guardian Adasa pays respect to sir Enix. Guardian Adasa begs for your forgiveness for my rudeness earlier!" Adasa bowed 90 degrees. Now, he realized why they were forbidden to enter to the said mountain.

"Don't get work out about it. Raise your head. If you are truly sorry, then just sincerely answer my questions!" Sir Enix stated.

"I agree with your demand!" Adasa didn't hesitate. With the assurance of the Phoenix itself, he calmed down a little bit.

"Tell me, how did you know that method of purification!" Sir Enix asked.

"Uhm?" Adasa didn't know how to respond. 'Should I tell him the truth, but it isn't my right to say it. Tala should be the one to say it. And she strictly said not to tell anyone.'

"Is there a problem?" Sir Enix broke the silence of the young man who fell into dazed. "Is it that hard to tell me that simple information? Rest assured, I am not an enemy and I will not talk about it to others."

"It's not that," Adasa hurriedly brushed the misunderstanding. 'How could a Silver Phoenix be an enemy? They were heavenly blessed to guard and guide every guardian.'

"Then what is it?" Sir Enix frowned. "It is just mere information. Although it is helpful to a 1st level guardian, it is simply nothing to a 5th level guardian and above."

He was telling the truth. To a 5th level guardian and above, using the surrounding energy is a piece of cake, but absorbing it is a different story.

'If I can modify his technique, maybe higher level guardian would be able to adopt such method.' He was trying to remedy the current purification method of the guardians.

'What to do? Sir Enix was getting mad.' Adasa gazed at Sir Enix with a bit of worry.

"Uhm! I...I am very sorry, but can you change the question." Adasa anxiously asked.

"Why?" Sir Enix deepens his frown.

"It is because the one who imparts this method told me not to share it with anyone and demanded not to tell anyone about her identity."

"Okay. If it is truly a secret for her part then I will not continue asking it but how you do it, I need to know," even if he doesn't manage to know the origin of it, maybe he can squeeze some insights of how it works.

With the overbearing aura of sir Enix, he couldn't keep his composure.

Adasa heaved a sigh of relief. He thought that Tala would be safe if he just tell him the method. Adasa explained what he knew, but to his apprehension to sir Enix reaction, there is something wrong with the method.

"There is a missing part of what you say, young man. Don't try to hide it," sir Enix voice showed a tinge of annoyance.

"That's all I know. Even if you don't believe me, there's nothing left to say," hurriedly explained by Adasa.

Sir Enix sighed. The young man seemed like telling the truth. It just means one thing, the one who imparted the method did something inaccessible.

"Then, tell me how you managed to enter this place." Sir Enix asked, brushing off the topic he could not comprehend for the meantime.

"Enter this place?" Adasa was a bit perplexed. "I enter just by following this map." Although he was curious why sir Enix asked him that question, he didn't hesitate to answer and handed over the note given to him by Tala.

The Silver Phoenix took the note and opened it.

"What a detailed map!" said the Silver Phoenix. He handed over the map to Adasa after confirming that it was just an ordinary map.

"Can you show me the method you used just now?"

"Of course!"

Adasa immediately sat cross legs to meditate. After six hours of purifying his energy earlier, the gust of life-like wind circling around him became denser.

"No way!" Sir Enix froze.

Faint golden light amidst the dazzling white light surrounded the young man.

He surged a little heavenly energy into his eyes and searched for the source of the golden light. The result surprised him a lot.

The young man stopped abruptly, "That is al..."

Sir Enix was in daze upon seeing him. That made Adasa a bit confused.

"Sir Enix? Sir Enix, are you okay?"

Hearing the young man's voice, sir Enix calmed himself.

"Uh! I'm alright!" Sir Enix answered.
