'Although it was just faint, I know what it was. How can he have such trace?' Sir Enix was perplexed because it might be the same but something was odd. With great consideration, he decided to examine the trace.
"Follow me," sir Enix led the way.
Adasa followed him.
"I'll tell you this. You may see and enter the mountain, but it is not its truest form. In order to enter inside, one need permission," sir Enix explained to Adasa while they were walking in a wide valley. The mountain was truly vast that even the top of it, contains another small mountain.
"Truest form? Permission? What kind of permission?" Adasa was baffled.
"It was a golden seal planted to one's body and emitted golden aura like the Head. As the Head, he was the only one who possessed it and the only one who could grant the seal temporarily." Sir Enix answered.
"Are we going to enter the truest form of this mountain?" Adasa asked innocently.
"Enter? Adasa, you're already here!" sir Enix startled. He thought that the young man knows its existence.
"W...what?" Adasa was surprised. He unconsciously examined his surroundings.
"The surrounding was the same and I doubt that I have the permission to enter the truest form of the mountain. What do you mean by me was already inside, sir Enix?" Seeing the surrounding clearly, he doubted.
"You don't know? You don't remember the Head giving you the seal in your hand?" Sir Enix was totally baffled.
"Seal in my hand?" Baffled, Adasa looked closely to his hands, but he didn't saw nor felt any anomaly.
"You'll know what I mean right here!" Sir Enix uttered as he halted in front of a golden gate.
At both sides of the golden gate were magnificent statues of golden phoenix acting like a guard. The prodigious craftsmanship of the one who carved it was visible to its life-like statues. Carved in the middle of the gate were a pair of golden wings that emitted golden light.
"Surge your energy directly to the Gate through your right hand." Sir Enix said seriously.
Adasa did what Sir Enix instructed him to do.
Coated his body with his energy, he directed it towards his hand and he felt something was triggered. To his great surprise, powerful energy suddenly burst out of his hand and shot towards the golden wings. The surrounding energy looks like dancing around him while the energy of his hand continuously shoots towards the Gate. It was absorbing his energy, but Adasa couldn't feel fatigued at all as if he could supply his energy limitless.
With the powerful energy, the dull gate seemed to come to life as it opened slowly, emitting the golden energy it received from Adasa.
Wooooooosh!
Adasa dispersed his energy seeing the door was open. That was the moment he felt tired. He puffed off air and inhaled deep.
"What a powerful energy!" Sir Enix couldn't believe what he was seeing.
When the gate came to a halt, a beam of golden light shot to the sky; giving light to the surrounding place.
...
A young girl walked into her courtyard like a drunken woman, feeling a swirling sensation in her head. She suddenly fell to the ground. She inhaled a turbid of energy to catch up her breath while lying down. She tried to sit cross legs to meditate and gain strength, but her body didn't listen to her. Suddenly, she felt powerful energy coming from a familiar place. Looking up, she saw a beam of golden light above. She gazed where the source of the energy came from and it was in the forbidden mountain.
"Thanks heaven! My effort didn't go to waste!" Tala said with ease in her heart and she fall asleep.
...
"What is happening?" Sadam who was practicing with his spear suddenly felt powerful energy. He gazed towards the forbidden mountain's sky and saw a magnificent beam of golden light. His jaw dropped.
...
"Everyone looked!" Asul who was talking to Tris, Aide, Eya and Siya, suddenly saw a beam of light shot above the forbidden mountain.
"What a powerful energy!" No one made sounds as they all fixedly stared above.
Alll other guardians, even the beasts, also have a similar experience. Only the Head and the Vice-heads weren't aware of the situation because the Most Holy Land that they were currently guarding was a sealed place.
...
"Sir Enix, what is happening to me?" Adasa asked while pulling out his energy to walk behind the silver phoenix.
"What a great energy! Look Adasa, the energy hasn't fade out yet!" Sir Enix pointed the beam of light above them that didn't show signs of fading.
Baffled Adasa looked above. This light will surely attract everyone. Adasa can only sigh in resignation.
"Let's go in!" Sir Enix suppressed his excitement as he led the way in.
They arrived at a magnificent mansion. It was big enough to house gigantic golden Phoenix. The duo walked towards the main hall.
"Empty?" Adasa uttered with surprise. He noticed that there was a table on the front line.
"This edifice should be full of books because this is the mansion of great intellect a long time ago. No one could open it as it requires specific energy or something that is out of my knowledge." Sir Enix explained. "I've just tried your unique insignia hoping it will work, and it did!"
Adasa awfully just smiled at him. He didn't know what to feel. Should he be happy that they succeeded or be mad because he was subject of experimentation.
The duo proceeded.
Adasa continued to walk. When he was just one meter away from the table, he stopped as he didn't feel the presence of sir Enix anymore.
He looked back. He was baffled seeing Sir Enix just gazing at his direction 20 meters away. He went back.
"Sir Enix, what are you doing there? Come on," Adasa stated.
"Don't mind me. You should go on," sir Enix said with a disappointed face.
"No! I can't do it on my own. You're the one who brought me here! If you don't want to proceed then, let's just go out." Adasa knew etiquette. If he wasn't the only one who found something, he shouldn't be the only one who'll reap the rewards. That is basic etiquette.
"No! I know what you're thinking. I just can't, so you should go on." To prove that Sir Enix can't proceed, he tried one step forward but just met up with a gust of powerful energy that barred him from taking another step. He forced his way but was sent back ten meters away.
"A barrier?" Adasa was lost.
"That's right! This place contains a powerful barrier that even I can't fight back nor break it." Sir Enix explained.
"W... why didn't the barrier block my way?"
"It's because you are the chosen one!" Sir Enix said as he straightened up.
"Chosen one?" Adasa couldn't catch up anymore.
"You'll know sooner, just continue ahead." Sir Enix stated.
Adasa was like an obedient child as he follows sir Enix instruction.
He stopped next to the table.
"Sir Enix, there's a book here!" Adasa said doubtfully as he opened the ancient-looking golden book. "It's empty!"
"You didn't need to open it. Look at the cover. You can see a printed hand. Put your hand there and surge your energy just what you did to the gate earlier." Sir Enix explained. The knowledge he knew was innate to their kinds.
'This printed right hand was bigger than mine.' Adasa thought, but he didn't dilly-dally and did what he needed to do. Upon contact with his energy, he felt the same thing when he was in front of the golden gate.
A moment later, the book emitted golden energy and circled Adasa.
It made its way inside Adasa's body through his pores.
Adasa felt that his energy became purer and purer as if he was in the midst of meditation. There was also a surge of knowledge making its way to his mind.
One minute
Ten minutes
Twenty minutes
One hour had passed as the book's energy faded out. Adasa pulled out his energy sensing that there wasn't more to gain from the book.
"2nd level!?" Shock Adasa uttered. An asterisk emerged beside the first asterisk on his wrist.
"Sir Enix! Look, I suddenly raise my purification level by leaps and bounds!" Sensing the faded energy of the book, Adasa grabbed it and dashed towards Sir Enix.
"Is that the book on the table earlier?" Sir Enix asked with excitement.
"Yes! If you want it, you can have it," Adasa handed over the book.
"No, no! You shouldn't give it away. It belongs to you from now on!" Although sir Enix wanted it as a souvenir, it was not for him.
"I have taken a lot. This is only the thing you can have. So please sir Enix, accept it. This book is of no use to me already." Adasa said eagerly.
"Okay! But if you change your mind or want to borrow it, it is just with me, okay?" Sir Enix assured. He accepted the book not because he takes fancy of it, but because of Adasa's eager look.
"Yes, sir Enix!" Adasa replied with an eased smile.
The duo decided to leave, but before they could step out, a gust of wind surrounded Adasa. Adasa felt like being pulled. As the wind obstructed his sight, he didn't know where he was heading. The last thing he saw was sir Enix who tried to rescue him but could do nothing.
The wind came to a halt, dispersing slowly. He could finally able to see his surroundings.
He blinked his eyes a few times with his mouth wide open.
"A Library?"
He doesn't know why, but there is a zest feeling inside his heart.
