Alex studied her gloomy face and suspected what happened. The information Assistant Cheng emailed him included Lara's work and schedule. He knows she has to go early but didn't remind her otherwise she would know he already did a background check.
Besides, he doesn't want her to leave.
Luke struggled out of Alex' embrace and ran to Lara. He watch the kid climbed the sofa and touch his mother's forehead gently.
"Mommy are you sick?" black lines appeared in the little guy's forehead making Alex' lips curve slightly.
"Hmmn.." Lara replied not opening her eyes. "Baby we should go home."
"Ah, Luke your mom is upset, should we cheer her up?" He looked at Lara, hmmn, if you think I'll let you go that easily you're wrong.
Luke looked at his newfound Daddy with questioning eyes.
"We should go out."
"Mr. Liu--" but he picked up a phone, who knows who he called but he was discussing clothes. When he ended the call, Lara tried to get his attention again but he beat her to it.
"Go upstairs and shower the both of you. I'll take you out." He said with a final tone.
Lara stunned. Huh?! Go out?! Was he ordering clothes for her and Luke just now? Why?! How dare him? Are we close??!!
But seeing this arrogant man raise a brow at her challenging to defy him, Lara bit her tongue secretly.
"It's a weekday. Don't you have work?"
"I'm the boss." He laughed and stepped out of the study.
Lara and Luke look at each other's eyes. Their eyes speaking silently.
"Look what you've done?" -Lara
"My daddy is awesome!" -Luke

Alex reached for his phone and dialled a number. After several rings, Crystal's grandfather picked up the call.
Anticipating a good news he eagerly greeted Alex.
"Have you found her?"
"Not yet Grandpa, I have other news for you."
The other line was silent for a while before the old man grunted to signal Alex to go ahead. Without holding back, Alex recalled what happened last night.
After a moment of pause, the old man said:
"You must have had a plan that involves the woman you found for you to report it to me?" Grandfather Yu said, unable to guess what his grandson-in-law is thinking.
"Yes. I want to lure Crystal out. Surely she's bound to claim her identity back." Alex replied without even a hint of hesitation.
Young as he is, he dare not be disrespectful to the Elder. He is afterall a friend of Grandfather Liu. But Alex Liu is Alex Liu. He can be very imposing and he leaves no room for discussion.
He didn't call for the Yu's to agree. He called to make them cooperate.
The old man grunted to himself. If he and his wife didn't spoil Crystal too much, none of this would happen. Why did that stupid granddaughter of his has to ran around town following this man of all people?! Since he is aware that their side is at fault, he cannot rebute Alex' plan.
Furthermore, their wealth it tied to the Liu's. One move and they might find themselves on the streets. Ignoring the fear that is slowly building inside him, he told Alex Liu to do whatever he think is best.
And proceed to make a plan for his own family to avoid unnecessary damage.
