Alana Yu. Only child. Jaded beyond compare. Top socialite.
Even a mention of her name turn up all ears in the room. Every page that published her picture is sold out in seconds. Material things? She doesn't need to sought after. Catalogs of every high end brand come to her months before its release.
Why not? She's a supermodel, and also super rich.
Men worship her. However, they can only dream of her. She is engaged before she was born. Being a fiancee to Andrew Liu has brought all these perks.
Her father was in military and at some point in his younger years, had gained quite a good reputation to the Elder Liu. They had become best friends and soon after Elder Yu had left the military, his business flourished under the influence of the Elder Liu.
Best friends as they were, they agreed to marry their children. The Elder Liu had both a son and daughter. While Elder Yu had Alana. When Madam Yu failed to bear another child, Alana had become the greatest treasure of the family.
She grew up to be a very beautiful girl attracting a whole heap of endorsements to the high end brands. At 17 she walks the runways of haute couture shows, not for money. Just because she enjoyed it and her parents just let her do whatever she wanted. Except for two things.
1. To wear indecent clothing specially when appearing in public. This isn't really hard for her. She maintains her image carefully.
2. To date any other guy except Andrew Liu.
When Alana turned 18, her engagement to Andrew was announced in a press conference. It was a very grand event, attended by all the members of the high society both local and international. The presence of the media is all around. All hotels in the city are fully booked and all significant personality came about.
In the next two years to follow, having the title 'Fiancee of Andrew Liu' next to her name, her family's fortune flourished. However, her heart sank deep, seemingly lost in Mariana's trench.
She realized that no matter how seemingly perfect her life is, or how stunningly handsome and rich her fiancee is, she does not feel in love with him. She found out quite late. The man she is destined to love for all her life is someone else.
It was one early morning. Her plane was a red eyed one and she arrived at the airport before the sun could come up. Her driver wasn't picking up her calls and she absolutely wouldn't get out of the airport alone. Having a car and driver by herself all her life, she doesn't even know how to hail a cab.
So she stayed inside a cafe at the airport, still dialing her driver's number. Probably the time or date had been mixed up since she came home earlier than her entourage. It was her choice to leave them, it wasn't her ideal itinerary. Only because she is in good relations to the company that she stayed during the process of the photoshoot. Not bothering to stay for the dinner the company arranged, she booked her flight and left her two assistants, makeup artist, hair stylist, and manager to deal with whatever is needed. She didn't even brought a luggage. Just her purse.
Tired from the photoshoot and the long flight after, this princess is losing its patience fast. Till she lift her head and found a pair of brown eyes looking straight at her.
