Chereads / Priestess Of The Land / Chapter 57 - Frozen Tomb

Chapter 57 - Frozen Tomb

Tria who had unknowingly entered the barrier was having a slight shock at the moment. When she was outside, through the barrier was a cave that was well kept, however when she passed through, she arrived inside a frozen cave.

Although it was a cave, it was very clean, and everything was made out of ice. The cave was brightly illuminated, and its depth reached far in.

Tria continued to walk into it as if she fell almost compelled to. She had walked until she had reached a largely iced sarcophagus with engravings all over it. It was standing upright, and it was taller than her by a couple of inches. Through the ice, she could see the outline of a person, a tall man, with long silvered hair, and silver eyebrows and lashes, with no top on. She could see the outline of his muscles and his icy expression made him look like what she would call a doll.

Tria lifted her hand to touch the ice, and as soon as she did, cracks had appeared on the tomb.

She stepped back while looking at the ice pieces fall of the ground revealing the mysterious man. She was able to get a better look at him, and his features were sculpted beautifully, and his expression as cold as ice.

Tria then walked towards him again, to check whether he was alive or not, but before she could step closer, the man had fallen on her. They had both fallen on the ground, and Tria was stuck under him.

She struggled to get him off, but to no avail. After a couple of tries she had decided to take a look inside the man's spirit field, so she activated her eyes and touched his hand. However, she was blocked off by an immense pressure pushing her out. Peeking inside the man spirit field had drained most of her energy, therefore tired her out. Out of breath, she simply laid on the ground with the man on top of her body.

Outside the cave, Lord Aten and Crei were both panicking at Tria's disappearance. They did not see where her body went to after she had passed the barrier, she had simply disappeared.

"Nephew-in-law, she should be alright right?, I have tried to go in but the barrier had blocked me off as well," said Lord Aten.

"It would seem that it really is only her that can get in….wait, Chukah?" called out Crei.

"…"

Chukah did not answer, however, he had appeared through a dark spot near Crei, so only he could see him.

"I can get you in," whispered Chukah, "don't let anybody know about me, I am staying behind, because it would seem that we are still being watched, but I can not pinpoint the enemy's location."

"Is that so," answered Crei in a whisper as well, then continued, "Alright, bring me in. Keep an eye out, and don't fight them if you find them. We cannot jeopardize Tria's identity when we do not know who the enemy even is."

Chukah then told him to simply walk in and the barrier will allow him entry.

Crei followed his instructions and walked towards the barrier, he lifted his hands towards it and his body went through without any obstacle.

Lord Aten and the protectors were shocked to see Crei also going in. They were not aware of Chukah, nor of Chukah connection to Tria. What Chukah did was simply touch Crei as he went in, and tricked the barrier into thinking it was him.

"Oh, his body went in, maybe I can too," said Jeep as he walked towards the barrier, but he got pushed back as soon as he tried.

"Hahaha," laughed Mata.

"Not fair!" said Jeep, and pouted his lips.

"Who's Chukah?" asked Ono to Lord Aten.

"I don't know," answered Lord Aten as he thought about the day's events. However, he felt better that Crei was able to get in, Tria should be safer now.

Therefore the four of them have found a corner, sat on the ground and waited there.

At a far distance from the cave, there was a couple looking towards their direction.

"Master will not be pleased about the way that things had turned out, and that dumb Sabir, why did he have to bring them to the cave, we have been trying to get in for years and now two unknown people just went in so easily," said the woman.

"Indeed, Master will be very upset. The fact that we cannot bring Sabir to him, someone else will have to get punished in his stead," answered the man.

"I hope it won't be us, I mean we probably would have died too if we didn't come late, those protectors had killed most of our men in the Moon Land."

"Should we try to get Sabir from them?"

"It's dangerous though, there's only two of us and four of them."

"We could go and come back with more men?"

"I wanted to go back as soon as I saw that woman go in, I thought she was the priestess, but then that man went in as well. It seems all of our assumptions were wrong."

"Hmm, let's just go back with that news, for now, hopefully, Master will not be too upset when he learns of such developments. If anything he might come here himself since he was so interested in this cave."

"You're right! Let's go and come back before the those two come out"

The two then stealthily walked away, but they did not notice the dark cloud being formed where they were just hiding. Chukah, in his jackal form, came out and snarled menacingly at the direction the two left.

If it was not for Tria being in the cave, he would have lashed out at the two already, however he had to wait for Tria's instructions first. Plus, it would seem that there was someone else behind this whole matter, he had to report this to Tria.
