Synopsis
A prison was destroyed one afternoon by a "random" meteorite. Scientists from the department of X at Y University had initially measured the projected meteorite to be of "inconsequential" importance, but the measuring equipment had a malfunction which lead to the confirmed deaths of 22 death row convicts, 1407 minimum security convicts, 115 guards, 32 prison workers, and 85 visitors. The meteorite was the Avatar of Johnathan, the God of death from another world. Terra; the Goddess of earth, from Earth; used the last of her divine energy to reincarnate the victims to that other world, to steal the other world's essence and bring it back upon their death. Rick Stephens was exempt from Terra's protection due to his ancestors being the desecrators of her last believers, which led to her current weakness and inability to protect the Earth from other worlds. Andrew; the God of fate, from the void; pitied the soul who was damned by a God for his worldly possessions, his body he received on birth. Rick, let karma determine your fate. Oh, you once rescued a rabbit?

Chapter 1 - So I'm a cute bunny...

My name is Doctor Rick Stephens, I am a palate safety connoisseur - which is a fancy way to say health inspector. I was scheduled to do routine checks at the prison today. The warden has asked for my services to investigate an abnormal increase of food poisoning cases at his prison. After arriving at the prison I found the source of the problem, flies. The insect poison doesn't kill the flies instantly, instead the flies fly into the nearby water source used by the kitchen. Mystery solved, they need to switch to a different insect pest management method. I would personally remodel the kitchen looking for all the entry ways for the pests, but that costs money for the prison.

I blacked out on my way to the warden's office chamber.

I regain consciousness in what I thought was a dream. Many floating orbs are floating near me, each different and similar. I can observe the primary color of many floating orbs are gray, dark gray, dark pale red, and the occasional dark pale violet. There are a few lighter colored grays too with a variety of colors. The next thing I know, I'm teleported into a ring formation consisting of the other floating orbs circling a large multi-colored orb. I then hear a voice, which I know is coming from that special orb.

"Souls, you all died. A God from another world wants to steal all your essence. You all will become agents for me instead to counter steal essence from his world, I'm sure he has plenty to share if he has all this spare time to kill my children. Everyone will be reincarnated as a citizen of that otherworld, and upon your death you shall return home with all that stolen essence that can be shared equally. Please live long lives and gain lots of karma. Remember, karma can be gained doing good or bad deeds. I'm okay with six of the deadly sins, just don't become sloths. Off all you go... Oh and I see a desecrator is among you, go ahead and be condemned."

I instantly learned what was to become of me. The information was kindly transmitted into my being from that self proclaimed Goddess. She even included information related to what the others would get and the basics of how everything works in that otherworld. I could feel a spacial ripple to the void where I would be damned. Knowing what's happening is definitely a terrorizing ordeal compared to the panic of the unknown, wishing that Goddess as much hatred as I can. I'm not even all that angry, and I just feel hopeless.

What's interesting is knowing that the amount of time I've been in this void like abyss, I'm already looking at another soul who looks similar to the God I've previously met. Godhood is just a state of being I've learned just recently. It speaks to me, and I think he's a male this time; if that makes any sense.

"Hello, I'm Andrew, a God of fate. I'm one of four Gods of the void. I pity you, mortal soul being damned for worldly possessions that fate controls. For the price of karma, your fate shall be dictated by karma. I will give you the help to burn your current karma, and you should become what your deeds and karma dictate. I'll tell you now, future Rabbit man, evolve. I see you play that MMORPG OS-RS (07scape), I'll give you an interface system like that, which can also evolve. Please note that trying to become a pure like in the game with the interface isn't doable, as it's an information directory and nothing more; so remove that thought. I'm helping you for a price by the way. If you die early, I will take most of your soul's essence, but if you grow strong I may take as little as 25%. Please become a God, I want two mid god stones worth of essence as thanks. You'll need to kill two intermediate Gods or two hundred lower ones if you don't want to give me your soul essence. Off you go now."

*Ding* Quest "Killing Gods for the void" added to quest book.

*Ding* Oh dear, you have been reborn.

I just felt haze all around me, momentarily feeling clarity when I saw the announcement about being born, but back to the haze. After what felt like a month I found I was really born this time. I never noticed until I started breathing that I wasn't. I couldn't see, but I could still feel whenever I was moved around. I quickly learned how to feed even with my blindness, after all, hunger isn't pleasant. I don't think I've ever remember milk being so good, but I know in the desert water is the best. Actually Gatorade is the best, but who can find mystical greatness like that when you are dehydrated in the desert?

After a few short days, I finally started to gain eyesight. I knew I wasn't human, but it never occurred to me I might be a harmless, cute and adorable, little bunny! One 🐰, two 🐰, three 🐰, four 🐰, five 🐰, six 🐰, seven 🐰, me 🐰, and mother 🐰... I have seven other siblings. I don't think I'm actually a rabbit, I'm just inside one. I can accept facts very easily, and am not a person that freaks out over insignificant details. I remember that void God said I can evolve, so of course that means I can become... I can have my host body become a human.

I'll just stick to this delusion, because otherwise, I might have a mental breakdown. I knew that the other reincarnated humans might have one up on me at this point, but I knew I should have some sort of advantage over them too. Many of them, actually all, should be infants at this time I think. I mean, I don't think the few minutes in the void should make that much of a difference, if anything the void's time should be slower right? It's where the damned are, right?

I start to wonder off to my own devices checking out the interface I've ignored until now...
