Chapter 37 - Happy Things Have Sad Endings

20XX, November 23, Monday; Konner House, My Room

Hey! What should I write first, bad news or bad news?

So the bad news was that last Saturday, when I met with Luke, we talked about us. That we should stop our relationship now since he will be leaving the school next year while I still have to focus on my studies. You know, being a teacher, adult-like advise.

Well, it's not like I'm super devastated because of that but I still consider it bad news. He's like my first everything though I don't know if it was love I felt. I feel like that's too corny.

Anyway, I didn't write about that the other day because I really have no idea what to write.

This day, however, I received another bad news which feels like worse than the end of my and Luke's relationship. Maybe that's why I can write this now. It's not like I'll have other bad news, right? And that there is the sign that I will. Isn't that how it is in most stories? Ha ha..

Back to the bad news. I never thought Nicole acts that fast. What happened this morning was that, as soon as I got to school, a teacher called to me and told me that I have to go to the principal's office.

I know it might not be about Nicole but I never thought I've had any issues that the principal might call me for.

When I was about to enter the office, Luke was just getting out. He told me it's ok and the principal will just have something to tell me, then he left.

Well, the principal didn't ask me anything. He just told me that Luke will be gone starting next year so I have to be in charge of the drama club scripts since the Literature teacher that was supposed to be in charge was still on maternity leave. He also told me that he has to talk to my guardian.

I already told aunt about it a while ago but I said I didn't know why the principal was asking for her. I mean, the principal never told me and I didn't want to try asking, really.

As for Nicole, she left the club. When I saw her, I tried to talk to her but she ignored me. Another problem is that there may be rumors going around school because the club members were looking at me while whispering to themselves. I guess, I should have known what I'm getting involving myself with a teacher.

Of course I still talk to Luke but never alone. He doesn't let it be us alone again at anytime so... Now, I will have to focus more on club activities. It's a good thing I actually enjoy it.
