A Letter to a Bird

I am walking with my shadow as my only companion
Only the rays from the sun touching me.
With your solitary tree breaking my musings,
Your song changing what my eyes can see.
.
But why do you not look at me,
Even when I decided to stay under the tree's shade?
Why do you keep catching my attention,
When your melody still never fades?
.
I thought I found another companion
Then I realized it was only fleeting.
I thought my world will have light
But it was also just wishful thinking.
.
But isn't it also my fault, my failure?
Who told me to depend on something so beautiful?
Now, I've learned something from you.
Thank you for teaching me something useful.
.
Life is never a promise, but a trial.
Dreams were never the future, but a challenge.
People care about themselves, not everybody.
And answers spouts out more questions.
.
Again, I thank you for the lesson,
As I watched you fly up high.
Goodbye!

Hello! Author here!
This doesn't fit in the author's note and I don't want to write it as a review or auxiliary chapter so here it is.
Well, I did not like what I did with the second volume. It was really dragged and more of an extra story so the novel won't have a gap. But I want to show here that Sean COULD actually have been a normal student or person despite what happened in her early years.
Maybe the problem was making Sean a girl but I already decided that before I started writing. I actually already had an ending at that time, just don't know the middle parts yet so the second volume felt forced for me. But please remember, I'm still a newbie writer.
I hope you will still continue reading this (and my other novels, I will still continue writing as I have nothing else to do at the moment) since the next arc is the climax of the story. I think it was implied that this will be a short novel compared to the other webnovels.
Anyway, thanks for reading! I'd also appreciate any feedback!
