Chapter 31 - Just Got Back from the Library

20XX, October 8, Thursday; Konner House, My Room

It's Thursday today. I just did club activities for the past two days. I mean, aside from regular classes of course. I'm still a good student.

Last Monday, Nicole was pestering me once she saw me before class. I actually arrived at school later than usual to avoid her or at least avoid more questions from her. I just gave her the gist of what Lucas and I talked about, like, that I was in the advanced literature class and if it's possible for me to just focus on script writing since most of the club members were into acting and he was the only advisor for the drama club. The previous one was on maternity leave, she was also the literature teacher of Nicole's class so Lucas was substituting temporarily for their class. That means Nicole was happy and will be until that teacher came back. I'm hoping she won't do something to permanently have Lucas as their teacher. As if that's possible.

That's the major news last Monday. Nothing much last Tuesday and Wednesday. There was just an announcement that the drama club will perform on the school founding ceremony this December so we have a lot to do. The actors started practicing and Lucas left to revise the script for the ceremony.

Nicole was down the whole time since she still wasn't able to talk properly with him. I don't get why though. She was not like this before when she only catches a glimpse of him from time to time. At least now, she can see him more regularly especially in her class. I think she's getting greedy.

Now, Thursday, a while ago, I was in the library with Lucas, talking about the script. We will be doing a version of Romeo and Juliet in a modern setting. I know! So cliche! Anyway, it's highschool so I guess more will be interested in a love story.

He was a really good writer and teacher. But, when he was talking beside me about the script, I can't concentrate. He looks really good! He often smiles at me though, as if he knows what I was thinking. So embarrassing! But I think he was interested in me too. Not that I'll be in a serious relationship with a teacher. Still, he's the first guy I became interested in.

I was still the one who noticed the time so we left later than my usual today too. When I got home, Eli was already in his usual place, in front of the TV, watching while eating junk food. His expression when he looked at me was asking me why I'm late but I didn't tell him. He wouldn't want to know anyway.

So I'll be helping with the script writing during drama club off days in the library with Lucas and we might be late getting home again. With how busy I will be with the performance for the school founding ceremony, I won't be able to write regularly. Again.
