When everything returned to normal, the weapon spirit sighed in relief. It had thought that an unknown enemy was attempting to attack him. But then he received the shock of his life to find out that the creator of the pendant had intervened on that matter regarding the gender change. Although he's never seen or met him in person, he's head a lot regarding the mysterious creator.
Although he was having a hard time accepting this, he had no choice but to abide. The other party was overwhelmingly strong to the point that even he himself was powerless again.
Looking at half of his materials still around, he sighed in relief, knowing that he still had at least of of it. Putting all those away, he gazed back down at the slumbering body that was the size and shape of a human full of scales. He checked inside before his face turned to shock before his face changed a little awkward.
Thinking back to the creator's words, he couldn't help but look at Kip differently. Such a person will definitely have a chance of ascending past the upper realm in the future. If he wasn't willing to accept this master and possibly ascend as well, he might as well be an idiot.
Time went about slowly, for a very long time. But even when Kip woke up, he made response for a long time. The weapon spirit couldn't figure out why and no matter what he did, it was useless. He could only give up and kick him out of his weapon world.
Kip silently entered back into the ancient temple that was frigid cold. The weapon and sheath trembled as dust came off it's body. Then it shrunk and flew into his body before settling in his dantian. It was full of black, devour energies so dense it was a near liquid and could eat away anything foreign. It looked like a raging ocean-sized whirlpool that constantly swirled in the dantian before exiting in meridians like raging rivers.
Despite that, the sword and scabbard seemed to be unaffected. Instead, they benefited from the dense devour energy. It acted as a chisel that scrapped away all the rust accumulated, allowing both of them to shine more brightly while increasing their own powers.
Katherine, after waiting for several days, got impatient and couldn't take it any longer. She had waited outside for Kip because of the fact that the chime was horrifying enough to destroy one's soul. If it wasn't for her intuition, she would've attempted to approach closer and could've lost her life.
She went back downstairs and into the room. Seeing his body on the ground, she hurriedly ran over with concern and checked to see him still alive. Sighing a relief, she looked at the pedestal to see that the sword and scabbard had disappeared.
"It seems as though he gained a fortune," she muttered. She carefully picked up his body and laid him on her shoulder, before leaving.
Katherine entered the ancient hallway before heading back to her cultivation room. Putting his body nearby, she sat back down and cultivated once more silently despite her hunger after running out of ice cores.
The days went by quietly before the ice energies in the air began to drastically decrease. Confused, she left the ancient temple and saw that the outside concentration was the same. Moreover, the skies were also clearing up and the snow had drastically decreased.
By the end of the day, the skies had completely cleared up to reveal a sky so blue it seemed as though someone had dyed the entire sky in pure blue. The white snow hills made a drastic change from blue to white. The ice energies had seemingly vanished, making the air devour of any energies. If it continued like this, she would eventually run out of ice energies in her body.
However, she looked into the distance and saw an invasion of chaotic space energies. It was very obvious as the energies being emitted in the distance could even be felt by a mortal. Although she really know why this was happening, she had a few guesses.
She quickly grabbed Kip and retreated back towards the original entrance was. The wall of space energies ate away at the blue sky, making it turn black. The snow seemed to be fine but anything else seemed to be annihilated upon contact, including the air. Katherine remained calm and retreated a full speed.
After some time, she arrived at the original location of the entrance. It was open and the whirlpool of energies was there. Katherine jumped inside without hesitation. The world turned black for a few minutes before she exited out with a little bit of dizziness.
It was still the same even though the wind speeds had reduced a little. But the ocean had receded a lot once again, and the entire island was back above water. You could see the horrible effects of the raging waters. Erosion had even destroyed rocks and most of the island had flattened out except for a few sturdy spots that withstood both wind and water. The central array that is used to hide the entrance, for example, is still there. Although it's body has cracked up and suffered severe erosion.
Despite the winds making horrible wave heights, the ocean wasn't moving like a river like before and was barely moving at all. Katherine had a bad feeling about this as she skydived towards the ground.
