I, Katherine, fell towards the surface. I slowed my descent before taking off my only pair of a high quality dress. I put it away in my back up storage ring along with my belongings. It's unfortunate that I lost my main ring that had most of my belongings in it. The elders of the Phantom Sea clan had always had their suspicion towards me over the years but couldn't do anything due to evidence. It was only when I managed to return alive back that they took advantage and demanded my storage space.
I had reluctantly gave it away. Although all the valuable things are kept in my backup storage ring, I had left all my food, money, and supplies in the main one, which is why there's a food problem. If it wasn't for the sudden collapse of the clan's barrier, I could've procured enough to survive for a bit.
I dived into the water naked, causing a huge splash. I swam back to the island dragging his body before resting in one of the standing mountains that was at the edge of the island. I dug into the side away from the winds and finally relaxed, knowing that I had gotten out of the black rainstorms and winds. Laying his body on the side, I began to recover my cultivation, causing the temperature to drop nearby.
After recovering enough, I silently cultivated without care. The winds made everything extremely loud, so she encased herself in a thick layer of ice.
The days went by like the usual for a bit before I was brought back to reality by some trembling. Leaving the ice encasing, I looked over at the person who was still unconscious. I couldn't help but wonder what happened for him to still be unconscious.
I went outside and withstood the fierce winds as I tried looking around. The vibrations grew larger at every second. When I spotted something in the distance against the winds, my face somewhat paled.
It seemed to be a steep slope of churning black waters with black mists of water that shot into the air. Despite the height of the mountain that I was on that's close to a thousand meters, the tsunami seemed to be way higher to the point but I couldn't tell because of the low visibility.
Spreading out my divine sense, I could see a few ships that are extremely large that could be from more powerful clans. However, they all looked abandoned even though the formations and runes on them were still activated. Half of them had flipped over completely and all seemed to be on the verge of losing complete power. It could be guessed that powerful clans came over to investigate, but were caught by the tsunami and forced to evacuate.
The front collided with the island without any signs of slowing down. A mountain that had withstood the waves and winds for a long time was impacted by the water before falling apart completely.
Eventually, the waves reached the center of the island. A ship was upright and in the right position that it cruised down faster than the tsunami. It happened to hit the ground near the massive platform array, causing the formations to significantly dim. It flipped over before rolling, causing the deck to fall apart and the formation to shatter.
The ship collided directly with the defense platform, but the runes collapsed in the process. The impact violently shook the platform before uprooting the entire thing from the ground. I watched this and couldn't help but think that there's no way the platform is made of stone otherwise it'd instantly submerge. I had thought it was based on it's color and texture.
The ship split in half before falling into smaller pieces despite it's high quality wood. The platform array flipped around at the front and constantly collided with the ground, causing tremors and boulders to fly. I couldn't help but be astonished at how sturdy it is despite the impacts.
The tsunami came more into view as it approached. Soon, it had reached the mountain I was at. The platform array fiercely impacted, shaking the entire mountain to the point that rocks fell down in the cave. I watched as the tsunami went around the mountain but the water level continued to rise at a fast rate.
When it was less than a hundred meters away, a huge ship came into view that was intact. My face turned pale and I grabbed the body before jumping towards the water. The ship collided in the middle, causing it's formation runes to shatter in a second. The mountain shook before collapsing completely, before being swallowed by the waves.
The second I jumped towards the water, I used my ice energies to temporarily jump across the water.
I frantically searched about before finding a decent sized boat that was still intact. I quickly created ice on the water and slid over before jumping on. I haven't reached the level where I can hover, as it easily consumes tremendous amounts of energy.
I sighed in relief and entered inside which was still intact despite some lose items thrown onto the ground. I found a random room and set the body inside before I recovered my energies while watching the outside through my divine sense.
