Chapter 13 - The Beginning Of Something New

Two months had passed since their wedding. The other ladies that were bestowed to yang yang before being married to Li-lian, they were mad because on their wedding night they were stood up by Yang-yang. They were going to try and show the princess consort her lesson for taking all the affection of their husband.

"Don't you hate the princess consort!! Our eighth prince probably only slept with her because he was forced to if he wanted any chance at the throne" Su jin said while holding her arms crossed while her right hand fanned her face with a handkerchief.

"Older sister, you shouldn't say that what happens if the eighth prince overhears you?"Xuan nu said while doing the same thing as Su jin except she was holding a fan.

"Hmph! Fine!!" Su-jin said as she glared at Xuan-nu.

Su jin furiously rolled her eyes just to say," You're welcome!!" but deep down Su-jin was thinking "Older sister my butt".

Meanwhile at the lotus pond residence,

"My lady, it's time to wake up!!"Mo-chou said while slightly shaking Li-lian.

"I'm up, can you pour me a glass of water please? Li-Lian said while walking over to her vanity sloth like.

"Yes, young miss, the other mistresses are inviting you for tea. Should I decline and tell them you are not feeling well?" Mo-chou said while helping li-lian dress in her favorite dress.

"No. Now If I really am sick then there is no need to alert anybody and the wrong people might take this as an opportunity." Li-lian said while tightening her belt which seemed to be too tight all of a sudden.

"But-miss" Mo-chou tried to say something else but was cut off by Li-lian's glare

"I understand, "Mo-chou said while walking out of Li-lian's sleeping chamber

While in the flower garden where the mistresses gathered and were waiting for Li-lian while complaining about how Li-lian was taking her time along with other things.

"Oh, I didn't think that I was taking that long, right? After all the sleepless nights I've been through surely my sisters will forgive me right. Sister's must have gone through what I've been through right?" Li-lian said while sitting down sipping tea and glaring at them.

The concubines looked around at each other with their faces bright red, choked with nothing to say besides clearing their throats. It was known that Yang-yang had never bedded anyone of his concubines since they got married to them. This was a blow to each of the concubines' egos. Li-lian smirked as she extended her left arm for Mo-chou to grab her hand. With Mo-chou's help Li-lian elegantly walked over to the gazebo to enjoy having some time to talk to the concubines. Whether they like Li-lian or not. Afterwards Mo-chou went to prepare some light snacks for Li-lian while she talked to the concubines. Mo-chou walked backwards until she was far enough from Li-lian to turn around, as she turned the concubines Su-jin and Xuan-nu walked past Mo-chou with disdain glaring as they walked by.

"Ugh, this is the type of maids she has, no wonder she's beneath us" Su-Jin said as she pulled out her pink lace fan which matched her dress to cover her mouth.

"Youngest sister, sometimes facts are not meant to be spoken out loud." Xuan-nu said as she used her arm covering her laugh.

After making snide remarks to Mo-chou as they walked by, they finally reached the gazebo where Li-lian was leisurely resting her head on her hand.

"Younger sisters, you have finally made it to the gazebo. I thought you guys got lost considering the time I was left waiting." Li-lian said with a smile with her head still resting on her hand.

Both Su-jin and Xuan-nu stopped in their tracks with anger written all over their faces. They didn't hide their anger, instead they chose to lash it out on Li-lian. Their maids held out their arms to help Su-jin and Xuan-nu sit down at the gazebo. Su-jin took her arm to cover her mouth as she made rude comments.

"Eldest sister, are you enjoying your stay here? If you don't, I'm more than sure you may leave." Su-jin said as she laughed making eye contact with Xuan-nu.

"Yes, please eldest sister if there's any complaints about the stay here you are more than welcome to go back to your palace. We would not want to have you lower your living standards by staying with us." Xuan-nu said as she was trying so hard to think of the snarky comments Su-jin keeps coming up with. Xuan-nu was immediately regretting her decision to study anything besides crocheting, keeping her husband happy, and bearing heirs. She scrunched her face up from the embarrassment.

"Well, I'm a little upset with my younger sisters thinking this is a stay and not a permanent one. I'm the official wife of the eighth prince. I'm here to stay for good. It is you guys who does not have a permanent stay within the residence no matter how long you have been "napping" here, eating my husband out of a home. While doing nothing about helping him to run the household. I'm surprised my younger sisters are still living underneath Yang-yang. Not to mention him not entering your chambers after dark." Li-lian said as she straightened her back even more to topple over both Su-jin and Xuan-nu.

Both of their faces turned bright red, Su-jin tried to use her powers controlling water to use her special technique, making water into a weapon. Before she could launch the knife made out of water. It burst into a million water droplets only splattering Su-jin and Xuan-nu. Li-lian looked to her right to see who could have bursted Su-jin's knife, it was Yang-yang fitted in a white and gold robes, with bamboo shooting out from the bottom of his robes, He was wearing white leather boots, completed with his long curly hair in a updo with half put up in a bun as a golden hair pin helped the bun stay in place, with the other half was laying down past his shoulders with his curls shining and bouncing as he walked with elegance, power and a hint of arrogance.

"I see there was a problem arising before I came." Yang-yang shouted as he angrily flicked his robes to sit at the gazebo, beside Li-lian.

Su-jin looked to Xuan-nu for help as she was lost for words.

"Y-Your highness, we were just having a conversa-" Su-jin tried to spit out but was cut off from Yang-yang.

"Is that so, then remind me why your dagger was pulled?" Yang-yang said with zero compassion.

"No, you have the wrong idea" Su-jin cried

"Wrong idea? I do not think so. It is you who has all the wrong ideas." Yang-yang said as he grabbed Li-lian's hand to hold, he was frustrated from not touching his wife all day being away at meetings.

"You all are dismissed." he said with a flick of his hand.

As the concubines dismissed themselves and were leaving, Yang-yang turned towards Li-lian to look her in her eyes ever so lovingly while rubbing her hands. He made eye contact with her lips as she was asking him about his day and if there was nothing bothering him. He couldn't concentrate and kissed her on her rosy pink lips. After kissing Li-lian she stopped talking to wrap her hands around Yang-yang's neck, he pulled her up onto his lap by her legs. All the maids and servants turned around when they were in view of seeing the lovely newly weds.
