Chapter 18 - Resting is a Blessing

They finally reached their palace. Yang-yang immediately got some maids and servants to gather some things for Li-lian, he was rushing telling them what to do. The servants quickly got the hint they shouldn't mess his order up or else. The anger was practically spewing off Yang-yang.

Yang Yang gently put Li-lian into their bed to be able to recuperate. His face was full of anguish as he looked at her sleeping on the bed. He was furious to say the least, he wanted to find the one who did this and make them pay for everything they did to his wife.

Meanwhile, in one of the concubine bedroom quarters there was a long, skinny figure using both of their arms to push everything off the table and breaking on the ground. Her face was nothing but anger, confusion and frustration, when she turned around she had tripped on one of the broken vase pieces, her personal maid had caught her mistress while listening to her woes.

"Ugh, I almost had her! My plan was a success! what went wrong with the plan? who messed up, where did it mess up!? I received the bird that San-Yun sent me, so did he mess up further?! Send a message to San-Yun urgently calling him here" Xuan Nu said while clutching onto her maids robe with all her remaining strength.

"I almost went to the meeting spot we arranged, but Yang-yang's people were already there scoping the place." Xuan-nu said while bitings down hard on her bottom lips.

"It is all right miss, we will make another plan for this to really work. between the two of your sisters, you are the most brightest to be able to figure out the right plan. All is not lost" Her maid said while fixing her lady's hair and putting her into her clothes to sleep in.

"I need a plan that keeps her down and away until the deed is done." Xuan Nu whispered while laying down in her bed dozing off with her eyes opening and closing.

"You will miss, I believe in you." Her maid said while putting the covers to her chest and straightening the covers with her left hand.

After getting her lady to bed, the maid slowly got up to clean up the vases' that were broken on the ground. While putting the broken pieces in a square cloth she cut her hand on one of the jagged pieces. her face changed, it went blank. the maid walked out of the room into vast darkness.

The next morning, Lian woken up to hear birds chirping and the sunlight landing on her face. her eyes fluttered open and closes for a few seconds before slowly rising herself up to call for her maid Mo-Chou.

*Jingle~~Jingle~~* After a while, lian heard fast footsteps running into her room. right away she knew who the footsteps belonged to. Mo-Chou.

"Don't run too fast, you might fall and hurt yourself" Lian said with a worried look that was complimented with a caring smile.

"I am so glad you woke up Miss, you had me worried so much I kept checking on you every hour to make sure you were okay! You don't know how bad everyone was worried that you wouldn't wake up but me and the young master never lost hope." Mo-Chou said while holding her mistress hand to her wet cheek since she just started crying out of relief again.

There were a lot more footsteps marching in Lian's direction. The door to her bedroom flew open and Yang Yang ran up to Lian to kiss her. It had been almost a week since Lian had fell asleep after being kidnapped. Yang Yang couldn't keep his emotions in check since throughout the week he's barely slept, eaten or done anything besides getting Li-lian to wake up and nurse her back to health.

"Do you know how long I have been waiting for you to wake up and talk to me about your swords, greenhouse, and the baby? He paused. Too long" Yang Yang said while nestling his head into her neck to feel her warmth.

Lian giggled and hugged him back for a minute before realizing the biggest thing, she's pregnant. Her face turned pale and in shock. Lian managed to get out a few words,

"Is the baby okay? Nothing happened to the baby, right?! while gripping Yang Yang's arm.

"Yes, everything's okay. The baby is fine and so are you now. Don't worry nothings wrong with either of you two." Yang Yang said while fixing her blankets to lay across her legs to keep her warm.

Yang Yang took her hands into his and looked her into the eyes while mentioning that she has to rest for a few months before she can really walk and go to her greenhouse for the time being since the winds and climate might make Lian sick and Yang Yang couldn't afford for her to get sick before getting better.

When given the news about being on bedrest from her husband she didn't like what she was hearing but knew it was best for the baby if she followed the doctor orders. She was more worried her baby might get sick, so Li-lian reluctantly agreed to staying indoors for one month. After seeing Li-lian was going to be well taken off by Mo-chou, Yang-yang reluctantly left to have a meeting with his father, triple checking Li-lian is okay before he takes off.

Li-lian was resting in her bed after seeing Yang-yang off, so she called for Mo-chou.

"Mo-chou" Li-lian said with a loud clear voice. Mo-chou came scurrying in with a tray with an array of snacks, all were Li-lian's favorite and made to be nourishing for her baby.

"Yes, miss?" Mo-chou asked as she set the tray of snacks down on the table next to Li-lian. Mo-chou had to put Li-lian's book in a pile to make room.

"It's nothing now, you brought exactly what I needed" Li-lian said with a smile.

"I will be right back with more fabrics for when you finish with your other cross stitching projects" Mo-chou said with a smile as she excused herself, walking backwards leaving Li-lian's room.

Li-lian smiled while grabbing the ivory-white colored fabric from her bedside table. She was sewing without a care in the world while snacking on the snack tray Mo-chou brought over for her. Li-lian wasn't paying attention to the time as the sky was dark when she looked out her window. She yawned, her arm stretched out to out the finished project on her bedside table, she immediately fell asleep. The medicine, staying indoors all day did help Li-lian cope with being alone, and doing other hobbies she wouldn't have the time to do otherwise.
