Li-lian leaped out of bed li-lian after thinking of something that happened last night and almost collapsed from embarrassment.
"So, where you satisfied with your gatherings" yang yang looked at her who was admiring the plant book she got while she was searching for greenhouses
"Yes, I am eighth prince because I obtained another book about plans even though the book was from my shi-ffu I mean my previous shi-fu," Li-lian said as she put the book down like she didn't want to talk about it
"I didn't mean to bring a bad memory back I'm sorry,"yang yang said as he looked over at li-lian to see her reaction
"It's not your fault I shouldn't have brought him up either but can I ask your highness a question?" Li-lian said as she looked in front of her while her mouth was arched into a smile her eyes told a different story
"Can I ask your highness a question?" yang yang said while looking deeply into her eyes.
"Sure, anything you want you can ask me,"Li-Lian said while noticing yang yang eyes held a certain glint.
After Li-Lian told him that he could ask her questions, yang yang suddenly turned serious
"Why do you want to marry me? I know you hear what the people have nicknamed me. So why? I will not have myself used for other peoples profit" yang yang said while glaring at Li-Lian
"Your highness has thought completely wrong. I'm not that princess who likes people off the way they look, it's what matters on the inside." Li-Lian said while glaring back at yang yang
"Ok, if you say so. Why did your mood just change? Also why did your suspicion of me go away?" Yang-yang said while now smiling at Li-Lian
"Yes, because I simply know you're not lying your highness" the eighth prince said while kissing the back of her hand.
"Hmm, too simple" Li-Lian said while moving potting soil off the way with a snap of her finger it was sent into the corner.
"Would your highness like some help?" Yang-yang said while passing Li-Lian some seeds to plant.
"Thank you, I would appreciate your help" Li-lian said after taking a minute to think about his suggestion.
"It's my pleasure, your highness." Yang-yang replied with a smile.
After a few minutes of lecturing Yang-yang about the greenhouse, how she wanted to organize, and plant her plants. She also asked him for help to hang a thermometer on the roof to make sure the temperature is where it is supposed to be. Throughout the whole time she was explaining the greenhouse to Yang-yang, he was smiling, surveying her facial features. He couldn't contain herself without letting the words, beautiful, slipped out of his mouth. Li-lian was blushing as she stopped in the middle of her sentence from being flustered. She looked up to Yang-yang's amber eyes, she couldn't help but stare at them.
"Beautiful? Eighth prince?" Li-lian said with a blushed smirk.
"Yes, your highness. Beautiful" Yang-yang said with a charismatic smile.
"Which type of beauty? Beauty on the inside or beauty on the outside" Li-lian said as she moved her pots filled with soil to her side to fill them up with different herbs, fruits, and some vegetables that Li-lian was ecstatic to see growing.
"Hmm, I think the rare kind of beauty, the kind that doesn't come around often because you're the first woman I felt that is both beautiful on the outside and she is on the inside, obviously not everyone is perfect, man and women included but I think you surpass that." Yang-yang said while locking eyes with Li-lian, brushing his thumb over her lips. He thought they were soft, like rice cakes.
Li-lian chuckled and covered her blushing face with her robes to shield her face from Yang-yang. She kept thinking about Yang-yang brushing his thumb over lips, she couldn't think straight.
Yang-yang chuckled before taking a few pots of soil to stuff the herbs. As he was filling up each pot with two to three seeds, then watering each of the pots. Water droplets splashed onto Li-lian's face as she was still feeling Yang-yang's finger over her lips; she jumped after being pulled from day-dreaming. She cupped her cheeks, they were still burning. Li-lian scrunched her eyes closed to inhale in and out before grabbing an empty pot, filling it with soil, fertilizer and the type of seed she wanted to plant. After a while, it was starting to look like a farm, with seeds planted in pots, areas in the greenhouse for plants to be planted in the ground, ladybug spiritual pets floating around lighting up the greenhouse. There were also areas for Li-lian to practice alchemy for when her plants started to grow and produce "fruit".
While Li-lian and Yang-yang were doing the final touches to the greenhouse, Yang-yang decided to leave to call for Zeng-qing to fetch dinner for the two of them since quite some time had passed since the two of them started working on the greenhouse. While Yang-yang was fetching Zeng-qing, Li-lian decided to take the time to finish working on the handkerchief she was planning on giving to Yang-yang before their wedding as a tradition. There were footsteps at the door entrance of the greenhouse. Li-lian knew they didn't belong to anyone she was familiar with because the steps didn't sound familiar. Li-lian got up quietly to make her way towards the side of the doors to surprise the intruders. The intruder was covered in all black with a deep scar running across from his left eye to underneath his right eye just missing the cornea. The intruder was holding onto a long knife that glistened when the intruder pulled it out from the sword holder as she made her way inside. Once inside the intruder quietly tiptoed his way into the greenhouse, unaware Li-lian is watching her every move. Li-lian let the intruder step further into the greenhouse. With one smooth motion Li-lian made a fist with her hand and clenched it until her fingernails started to dig into her clenched fist. The intruder immediately dropped her knife as she tried to pry the hands from around her throat, it was fruitless. By the time the intruder was struggling she was already gone. Li-lian went over to where the intruder's body dropped from being lifted into the air by her. Li-lian tilted her head to the side, as she pulled the black mask off the intruder's face. She didn't recognize the face but she knew where the cat figure tattoo came from. She smiled, and thought it was finally time for her to start sending her workers down to handle her "light" work. Li-lian started cleaning up the bloody mess as she snapped her fingers and torched the intruder's body to a crisp. She threw a bucket of water at the ground to wash the ashes away into the ground before Yang-yang came back with their dinner.
