Saiph looked around the vast room. Other than the closed door, nothing was in the room. A voice rang out from above, "In this section of the test, you will be given a sword to slay a giant. You may do anything to the giant, but you must land the final blow with the sword. The terrain is set to forest mode."
Trees and grass began to grow from the floor rapidly. The trees shot up rapidly, rising up to be many times higher than Saiph. The crackling of bark and the rustling of verdant green leaves sounded all around. When the trees finally stopped growing the voice sounded, "You may begin the test." A common iron sword rose up from the ground, its handle plainly wrapped in leather. Saiph grabbed it and set off through the lush forest.
A loud snore rang out from her right, the vibrations shaking many trees. After a couple of minutes going through the forest toward the snores, she came across a large clearing with a large figure in the middle lying on the ground. The giant was asleep. Saiph tossed a stone and quickly hid behind a tree to see how sensitive the giant was. The snores stopped and the giant's eyes opened quickly revealing bloodshot eyes and red irises. It looked around for a minute and then closed its eyes. The snores resumed.
Saiph crept up to the giant slowly and silently. If it was any other person, their footsteps would have awoken the giant, but Saiph was an assassin, one of the best at that, so of course, her footsteps were quiet and unnoticeable. When she arrived at the giant's head, she positioned the sword over one of the giant's eyes. She then tapped the giant with her foot and its eyes flew open. At that moment, Saiph stabbed downwards into the open eye. The sword penetrated and reached the brain, killing the giant instantly, the tension in its body relaxing as it laid still in death. "Congratulations! You have finished the first test! Please proceed to the now open purple door," said the voice as the trees began to shrink. The foliage around her sank into the floor and the giant dissolved into grey particles that dissipated into the air. The room now looked the same as when she first entered, with the purple door now open. She walked out calmly as the others looked at her with awe. Whispers started around her as she walked to the section for the people that passed the first test.
"I would have never thought that she'd pass the test. She has no background and has only popped up now."
"So many people have not passed yet. I wonder how hard the test is, and how strong the 6 of them are."
"That cloak of hers does not seem cheap, maybe she's from a rich family from far away. She's got a couple of dimensional storage items too. Those are not cheap. I'm saving up to get one, and I'm about halfway there to get a small one."
"Who cares about you saving up, she's stunning."
"Like hell you would ever get the chance with that."
A loud whack was heard.
She joined the six others and sat down at a vacant table, not minding the others at all. She felt eyes on her and looked up to see the feminine boy looking away quickly while the rest continued to observe her.
She focused on the man in the cloak with twin swords. She could not see his face clearly, but his eyes were icy and focused. He was standing, seemingly ready for anything. She then turned her head to the pretty boy who looked away earlier. He had black hair and entrancing chocolate brown doe eyes with cherry blossom lips and a fair complexion. His looks rivaled and beat many women that Saiph knew. He seemed to hide something powerful within him but Saiph couldn't put her finger on what it was.
She looked towards the twins. The one in blue seemed very dependent on the one in red, and the one in red was restrained by her sister from doing things that were too daring. They looked identical to each other, the only things that differed between them was their attitude and hair length.
Their hair was so blonde that it was almost white, with hypnotic frosty blue eyes that looked like ice. Their clothes were embroidered with dragons and phoenixes, an indication that the two were from royalty and closely related to a king or emperor. They were probably geniuses nurtured by their family.
Saiph stared at the last one. A curvy girl with large assets. She gave off a domineering aura that commanded respect. She seemed to take pride in her body and power. She exuded confidence. Her black, inky hair was braided to the side and nearly reached her butt.
A figure walking over surprised Saiph. It was the man from the train. His handsome face and expensive clothes from famous brands made him the target of many girls' admiring looks. He sat down at the table with Saiph. "Why don't I see the spirit anymore?" he whispered. The moment he said that the cloaked man jerked his head up and looked at them. 'Hm, good hearing.' Saiph turned her head and smirked at him before turning back to the rich young man, "I sent him away to do his own thing." He nodded. She then put her head down in her arms," Don't talk to me anymore, I'd like to rest."
A couple of hours later, ten more people joined Saiph and the 6 others in the waiting section. One of them was Lavender.
"100 groups have taken the first test and 17 people have passed. That is five more than the last time. Hopefully, this will be a good batch. However, don't let it get to your heads, there are still 5 more tests. Let us now head over to the next testing ground," said a veil-wearing lady who wore all black.
