Hi, I’m Anezka Orien, a human with the worst luck imaginable. It wasn't always like this. I was a happy child and a resident of the mortal world, Earth, living with my foster caregiver until I turned 12 and lost my only family. When I finally woke up after 8 years, I was 20 years old and realized I was the reincarnation of my blind, naive and treacherous great-grandmother, who had made many mistakes that I now had to resolve. 

To make matters worse, my mother told me I was betrothed to the Shadow Queen of the Kingdom of Corbin as her bride. The shocking part? The Shadow Queen was my best friend from my past life, whom I had betrayed. She has been waiting for me for 200 years to take revenge for my past mistakes.

"Tying me with these shitty chains isn’t going to lead you anywhere. Don’t forget, I’m the only cure for your curse," Anezka said to the transparent shadow looming in front of her. Within a few seconds, the shadow stepped closer and gripped her jaw, making her shiver from the sudden cold. 

"Quite a filthy mouth you have there," the shadow's voice boomed in the room like an echo. 

Keeping her nerves in check, Anezka held the shadow’s cold hands in hers and replied, "And this filthy mouth can do much more than you can even imagine."
