A Lich wandered through a village ravaged by the demons. His intent was to gather resources for his practice.

He was stopped by the cry of a child. After investigation he found a boy no older than 12 crying at the charred corpses of his father and mother.

“Poor child.” The Lich pulled out his wand and shot a sickly green ray at the child.

Instead of killing the child like the Lich expected, the child absorbed the ray and turned to the Lich with hate filled eyes.

“…” The Lich looked at the child with a amazed gaze before stretching out his boney hand.

“Your special boy. Come with me.”
