Instead of killing him the Goddess granted mercy to him overwhelm by her compassion the General fell in love with the Goddess helping the Goddess champions rise up to defeat the Dark Lord an seal him and his three generals away, but before the General could finish sealing his Lord an brothers away the Dark Lord tried to kill the Goddess with one last attempt causing the General to sacrifice himself also sealing his powers away.
 400 years later Eregn Blackwell is a low level Spellcaster with no power and is often look down upon an ridicule for his lack of magical abilities. After his father dissapeared leaving him a black Grimoire and a locked box giving him access to dark mystical power the very thing he needs to rise to the top, but will Eregn be able to overcome the dark curse of that very same power that could possibly destroy him and possibly the world.
