" Kid I thought you were dead ! " Damian let go of Eregn slapping him on the back. Eregn stepped back to look at Damian he was wearing a medium set armor that had holsters around his body that looked western like a cowboy, but only they were silver and black that gleamed even without light. Around Damian was a cloak over him that could cover his body with goggles draped around his neck to match his infamous black cowboy hat, strapped with two pistols on his side that looked way better than what he had in the prison cell.
" Wow Damian you look brand new ! " Eregn face lit up with excitement at the transformation of Damian armor and weapons.
Damian brush his shoulders with a sly grin on his face .
" All thanks to you partner, whatever you said to Ozul worked out well, he gave me my family armor and weapons an said I was free to go, now the only thing left is to finally kill Baron Dreus. "
" That's Great Damian I'm glad you're free to avenge your family now, and I appreciate your help your help from escaping that prison. " Eregn bowed to Damian to express his gratitude.
" No Eregn it's you I'm eternally grateful for you if it wasn't for you I'd still be in that cage rotting away...hey why don't you join me ? We make a pretty good team. "
" Haha...it's a nice offer, but the deal I made so you could be free and I could learn shadow magic was I had to join them...I'm sure we will cross pathis again. " Eregn stuck his arm out and Damian did the same locking them in.
" Hey Kid just know anytime you need help just call and I'll be there.... I hate owing favors an I owe you a couple. "
" I'm sure one day I'll have to take you up on that offer. " Eregn smiled brightly at Damian an at that moment Luna appeared from around the corner.
" Hey, I see that you're dressed, he knows you're awake an ready to see you now just follow me and you Damian as agreed are free to go. " Damian nodded his head and began to walk away down the hall to a nearby platform with runes around it before turning back around to Eregn.
" Remember what I said kid, anytime you need me." Tipping his hat to Eregn an giving Luna a wink.
" Take care of my boy now you hear ! " yelling out before stepping on a platform disappearing in a flash of light.
" Eregn are you ready ? " Eregn looked at Luna nodding his head walking with her to the platform while it transported them back to Ozul office, Ozul sat in his chair puffing on a pipe looking at some documents as Eregn an Luna walked over to him Luna bowed on one knee to show her respect.
" Father as you asked, Eregn is awake and well. " Ozul looked up from his stack of papers an began smiling.
" Excellent it is good to see you up and well that is the first time I've seen the ritual knock someone unconscious, now that you are up I remember you telling me you only had a month before your exams started....usually one training in arts would take years ,but in order for you to catch up with the rest of the people competing we will have to take drastic measures to speed up your process, Luna can you please tell Silva to get the chamber ready for the trials. "
Luna eyes lit up with suprise as she nodded her head exiting on the platform disappearing.
" What do you mean by drastic measures, what is the trials ? "
" Well since we have a very short time limit in order for you to be on par with the others we need to speed rush your training.... the trials is something I created to enhance and hone my powers...it is not for the light hearted... you may never come out the same. " Ozul stood up placing his hand on Eregn.
" Tell me little brother what all do you know about the shadow arts, I see you can infuse, but what else can you do ? " Eregn thought about it at the moment he could only use two shadow spells the reaper's blade and shadow relay, but he needed more.
" Not much, I need more in my arsenal if I'm going to stand a chance to pass the exam. " Eregn gave Ozul a serious look as Ozul seemed to be in deep thought analyzing the situation.
" Just as I thought.... as much as I hate to say it, you have to go through the trials in the chamber it's the only way for you to learn the skills in the time needed, but first come at me with everything you have sure you escaped from my prison and that is impressive, but how can you handle a threat by yourself ? " Ozul eyes turned black as he raised his shadow from the ground taking the form of Ozul as it lunged at Eregn.
Eregn was caught by surprise as the shadow threw out a fist at Eregn face, weaving the punch by a inch the shadow kneed Eregn in the gut knocking the air from him.
" Dammit this shadow feels just as solid as a real person." thought Eregn as he continued to block the jabs from the shadow, but suddenly as Eregn swung his fist at the shadow it quickly dropped to the ground appearing behind Eregn kicking him in the back causing him to stumble.
The shadow was getting faster adapting to Eregn fighting style, he had to find the flaw in the shadow.
Eregn threw several jabs at the shadow until finally one landed causing the shadow to split into two shadows that unleashed blows onto Eregn almost beating him senseless, Eregn could feel his consciousness slipping.
" Come on little brother you have to do better then that unleash your darkness ! " Ozul yelled as his shadow landed a blow to Eregn gut knocking the wind from him, but before it could withdraw it's fist Eregn latched on with sweat dripping from his brow an with a sinister smile, his eyes began to glow as a green flame erupt from his hands disintegrating the first shadow. The second shadow lunged at Eregn as he lifted his hand firing off a green fiery beam taking it out.
Ozul stood there impressed " That green fire of yours is very interesting...it does give off the heat of fire and it's destructive capability is just the same...but there is a dark light that burns within it giving off a chilling touch I could slightly feel its power with my shadows, you may have tapped into a power that syncs with the shadow gracefully."
Soon a bright light appeared and it was Luna with the black masked man Onyx walking over to Eregn and Ozul. " Sir the chamber is getting prepared as we speak is there anything else you need ? " Onyx said while bowing to his master.
Ozul began to smile " Yes get him whatever he needs to prepare for the trials his first test will start tommorrow morning."
