Chapter Five --Crazy
Louis' Point of View
"You should sit." She whispers and I frown, haunted by her words.
I know, but I don't like lies between us, and I want to open myself open for you.
"I was with Xavier for four years, from age eighteen to when I turned twenty-two, we broke up three years ago, but I am still haunted by what he did to me. Xavi and I met when I got into Uni, UCLA, and we dated all through my years there, and the relationship was not the best per se, but it was good, we had our arguments, but we worked through it, and I loved him. I was going to marry him, or so I thought." She frowns, and I can see how much she hates to open up her wound up, just to speak to me.
I feel so much guilt, because I am keeping so much from her, but we have only been dating for one month, and I am not as trusting as she is.
"Apparently, during the last two years of Uni, when I got insanely busy, interning at an Art Gallery, making calls, trying to make life after graduation easy, while still attending classes, Xavier was cheating on me, with various women, and the worst part is that all his friends knew. Do you know how insane it is to be openly in love with someone, just for him to be cheating on you?" She scoffs.
"The crazy part -- there was so many crazy parts. I worked so hard, so I didn't give our relationship that much attention, so I made up for it by spending the weekends at his Frat apartment, I so badly hated the Frat apartment, but I loved Xavier, so I put up with it, his friends liked me, so that made it a little easy - I would spend the weekend cleaning his room, the restrooms, the kitchens they all use, while he cheated on me. One of the girls he slept with, was once in the apartment while I cleaned. I've been so stupid." She whispers, and to her credit, there is no tears in her house, she has really grown from the hurt.
"How did you find out?" I ask and she exhales "One of the girls he slept with reached out to me, she said he got her pregnant and he was denying ever sleeping with her, which was stupid. This was few months after graduation, after moving to New York, and planning to get an apartment together, while I was still staying with Scarlett, she lived in a studio apartment then."
"Wow." I whisper and she nods.
"Scar and I met up with the girl, she was so beautiful, just so dashing, and I wondered why she was with him, despite knowing he had a girlfriend. There was some tears, yelling and I promised her he would take up responsibility. We went to his parent's house, with Scar, he was not home, so we waited for over an hour, and the next we heard, he got into a very bad car accident and he was dead, died at the scene." She says, quietly and my eyes widens, I wonder how much hurt and mad she had to be.
"At his funeral, all the women he cheated with came to me, I wanted to die, his friends also admitted everything and I was just so done with everything. I was so sad that he was dead, he was the love of my life, but at the same time, I was pissed that he died and escape his responsibilities. Life was weird after he died, and it was really hard to move on for like three months, but I pulled myself together and now, I'm happy." She smiles and presses a kiss to my lip.
"I'm so sorry, Colette." I say and she shrug "You don't have to apologize, you did not hurt me, he did."
That night, as she sleeps beside me, I can not sleep, I keep turning and tossing, because I know I am either going to hurt her or end this relationship, but I am going to lose her either way.

"My brother can be weird, but just ignore him. My mom will definitely be too much, but indulge her if you can, Scar is already there, and my Dad loves to tell stories, so just tell me if it gets too much and I will help you out." Col rambles and I smile at her as we walk to her parent's doorstep.
"Everything will be fine, I have been through crazier times." I assure her. She rings the bell and walks in, I follow her lead and blink as I stare at her parents, she looks just like her dad, or is it her mom, she is a mix of both.
"Dad, Mom, this is my boyfriend, Louis Bordeaux. Lou, this is my parents, my mom -- Darla Emerson and Chris Emerson, my brother should be around some - oh, there he is, that is Neil Emerson, my older brother." She introduces and I nod at them.
"You have a lovely home, Mrs. Emerson." I say and freeze when Darla Emerson moves forward and wraps her arm around me in a very tight hug, she pulls away and kisses my cheeks softly.
"So, which are you - Witch or Werewolf?" Neil asks and I frown at him, at how blunt he is and Col gasps "Oh my God, Neil, why would ask such a question?"
"I have actually being curious." Scarlett says and I look ahead, wondering when she walked in, I feel quite overstimulated.
"I was not being rude, just asking." Neil shrugs and Col pushes me ahead, away from them, and further into the house, somehow, I don't want to go in, I should turn and leave, but I made a promise to Col. Everyone is talking at once and I'm so overstimulated, but everything blurs when I look ahead and I see a picture of the person who cursed me.
