Chapter 6: Wolves in the Den

Choi Sang-hoon's smirk never wavered.

"Look at you two. Brothers, standing side by side again. Almost touching." He took a slow step forward, voice laced with mockery. "Makes me wonder—who will betray who first?"

Jinwoo barely shifted his stance, but his finger was tight on the trigger.

He already counted the snipers above. Twelve. Not impossible, but damn close.

Kyung-ho tensed beside him, whispering, "We can't fight all of them."

Jinwoo exhaled. "We won't have to."

Then he fired.

Not at the snipers. At the ceiling lights.

The warehouse plunged into darkness.

Shouts rang out. Gunfire exploded in every direction.

Jinwoo lunged, rolling behind a stack of crates as bullets ripped past him. He heard Kyung-ho move in the opposite direction, firing at shadows, using the confusion to their advantage.

Choi's voice cut through the chaos. "You think darkness will save you?"

Jinwoo didn't answer. He was already moving.

His instincts took over. A shadow shifted to his left—enemy. He drove his knife deep into the man's gut, twisting hard before dropping him.

A shot rang from above. Jinwoo dove forward, barely dodging a bullet that split the air inches from his head.

Another movement—behind him.

Jinwoo whirled—too slow.

A fist slammed into his ribs, knocking the air from his lungs. He stumbled. Another strike followed, aimed at his skull—

A gunshot.

His attacker collapsed mid-swing, blood pouring from a bullet hole in his temple.

Jinwoo glanced up. Kyung-ho stood a few feet away, smoking gun still raised.

"No need to thank me," he muttered before vanishing back into the fight.

Jinwoo clenched his jaw and pushed forward. No time to hesitate.

Across the room, Choi's voice rang out again.

"Enough."

Suddenly—the shooting stopped.

A floodlight snapped on, blinding Jinwoo as the warehouse returned to light.

In the center of the room, Kyung-ho stood, hands raised, a gun to his head.

Jinwoo froze.

Choi grinned, his men surrounding Kyung-ho. "Well, well. That was fun, but the game's over."

Jinwoo's mind raced.

They had one chance.

And it wasn't going to be clean.
