Chapter 19 - These Days, The Villains Are No Longer Doing Business

The Second Magic: Energy Explosion

Amora's golden hair shimmered as she smiled at Aaron, her tone sultry yet persuasive:

"The second magic I'll teach you is... Energy Explosion!"

Her emerald eyes flickered with amusement, watching Aaron's reaction carefully.

But he simply frowned.

That was not the reaction she wanted.

So, she quickly added:

"Irene doesn't know how to do this either~!"

That should get his attention.

Still, Aaron remained skeptical.

Energy Explosion…

He vaguely remembered Loki using it once—and only in a moment of emotional outburst.

Back then, Loki had been consumed by rage after Frigga's death, and his magic spiraled out of control, resulting in an unconscious explosion.

The result?

A couple of shattered tables and chairs.

Not exactly world-ending devastation.

Now, if those tables had been made of Uru metal, it would have been a different story.

Uru metal was one of the strongest materials in the Marvel universe, used to create artifacts like:

Mjolnir 🪓 – Thor's beloved hammer. Stormbreaker – The weapon that nearly killed Thanos. The Infinity Gauntlet – Which could withstand the power of all six Infinity Stones. Thanos' double-bladed sword – Which effortlessly cut through Captain America's shield.

If Loki had obliterated something of that caliber, maybe Energy Explosion would seem more impressive.

But instead…

He just wrecked some wooden furniture in a dungeon.

Not exactly an unstoppable force of destruction.

More importantly—

Energy Explosion required a ridiculous amount of mana.

Even Irene couldn't use it.

Which made sense.

A Demonstration from Amora

"Energy Explosion is an offensive magic that converts raw magic into an invisible explosive force."

"It's perfect for wiping out multiple enemies at once in large-scale battles!"

"Not only does it cause massive damage, but it also knocks enemies back!"

As she spoke, Amora led Aaron to an open clearing.

Then—

She raised her hands, her body glowing with a radiant golden aura.

In an instant—

BOOM! 💥

A violent shockwave erupted from her, sending out a rippling explosion that fractured the ground beneath them.

Cracks spread like a spiderweb, and the earth sank inward from the impact.

The sheer force of it was impressive

But Aaron's sharp eyes caught something.

For a brief second, Amora's usually rosy face turned pale.

It was subtle—barely noticeable—but it was there.

Her energy reserves had dipped momentarily.

Even she had to push herself to use this magic.

And in battle…

That small moment of weakness could be fatal.

Still, Amora smirked, her confidence unshaken.

"See? Terrifying, isn't it?"

"Irene's little illusions are nothing compared to this!"

"You're learning from the right sister~"

Aaron rolled his eyes.

He wasn't about to be charmed so easily.

Instead, he raised his hands and prepared to mimic her technique.

The Explosions Begin

BOOM! 💥

BOOM! 💥💥

BOOM! 💥💥💥

A series of thunderous explosions rocked the area as Aaron tested the magic.

Each time, he adjusted the force, the range, the intensity.

More destruction.

More precision.

More power.

Amora was momentarily stunned.

This was his first time using it

And he was already mastering the finer details?!

That was not normal.

But before she could process her thoughts—

Outside the Academy

A group of worried figures stood at the entrance, listening to the chaotic destruction inside.

Among them—

Irene.

Her usually calm demeanor was completely shattered as she clenched her fists in distress.

"Queen Frigga, we can't just stand here! Amora is clearly up to something!"

Hearing the relentless explosions, Irene was losing her patience.

She wanted to storm inside immediately.

"What if she's controlling Aaron? What if she's using dark magic on him?!"

Her mind conjured horrifying scenarios

Aaron, entranced by Amora's spells, manipulated like a puppet

The evil enchantress using black magic to twist his thoughts…

It was too terrible to imagine!

She had to stop it!

But—

A calm hand rested on her shoulder.

"Relax, Irene."

It was Frigga.

She wasn't worried at all.

In her eyes, a vision of the scene inside played out

Aaron wasn't being controlled.

He was learning magic.

And not just that—

He was learning it alarmingly fast.

"Amora isn't manipulating him." Frigga said smoothly.

"Aaron is the one causing the destruction."

Irene's Suspicion

Irene's eyebrow twitched.

"Wait… Amora is actually… teaching him?"

That didn't sound right.

Amora, the notorious Enchantress, the woman who was too lazy to even teach her own apprentices, was now suddenly a dedicated magic instructor?!

"That doesn't make sense!"

"She barely even teaches in the academy!"

It was true.

Amora's specialty was mind and charm magic—something almost no one wanted to learn.

After a past scandal, those arts were considered taboo, and students avoided them.

Amora, in turn, lost interest in teaching altogether.

So why now?

Why was she actually putting effort into training someone?

Irene's suspicion only grew stronger.

But—

Frigga said nothing more.

She merely watched with interest.

Deep down, even she had to admit…

What Aaron was doing was unnatural.

Loki's Frustration

Standing beside Frigga, Loki scowled.

His mood?

Ruined.

When he first heard the explosions, he had been excited.

Maybe Aaron was failing miserably.

Maybe he was getting humiliated.

Maybe he was making a fool of himself.

But no.

Instead, Amora—the infamous selfish seductress—was acting like a proper mentor.

And worse—

Aaron was actually excelling.

Loki clenched his fists.

"What the Hel is going on?"

"Why is she helping him?"

"Why is he learning so fast?!"

He was supposed to be Asgard's greatest magic prodigy.

But now?

Aaron was outpacing him like it was nothing.

It was frustrating.

These days…

The villains weren't even doing their jobs anymore!

Inside the Academy

Aaron took a deep breath, lowering his hands.

His mind was clear.

His magic was refined.

The ground around him was cracked and broken.

But his body felt fine.

He turned to Amora, meeting her gaze with calm confidence.

"What's next?"

Amora stared at him, expression unreadable.

Then—

She grinned.

"Heh… You really are something else."

She flicked her hair back and leaned in.

"Alright, little genius—time for the third lesson."
