Chapter 22 - The Blessing of Odin and the Holy Fountain

Seeing Frigga leave, Loki looked toward Aaron, his mind working through possibilities.

As clever as he was, Loki had already guessed part of the situation.

"Can you really resist Amora just by learning mind magic…"

He had a vague sense that there was more to the story than what met the eye. But to know exactly what had happened, he would either have to ask Aaron and Amora directly or find Frigga.

After a moment of hesitation, he decided to chase after Frigga.

Just then, Aaron emerged, looking surprisingly in good spirits.

"Aaron, are you alright? Amora didn't do anything to you, did she?"

Though Irene had learned some things from Frigga, her concern for magical prodigies was too strong to ignore.

"I'm fine, better than ever. Do you think I'd let something happen to me?" Aaron grinned, motioning for her to calm down.

Irene studied him carefully. His demeanor seemed unchanged, and there was no trace of confusion in his face. Satisfied, she let out a sigh of relief.

Those controlled by mind charm magic usually showed subtle signs—distracted behavior, confused expressions—but Aaron seemed perfectly normal. If there was anything different about him, it was that he seemed unusually upbeat.

Comparing this with Amora's condition, the contrast was stark.

She had never seen someone use mind magic who could still glow with such vitality, while the caster looked like a walking corpse.

If someone had told her that Amora was the one under the spell, she would have believed it.

"Don't worry, Amora isn't bad. She even taught me two new spells." Aaron smiled, genuinely appreciative.

It wasn't just because Amora had taught him magic. No, he had learned something even more valuable.

How to solve his issue with magical energy reserves.

Amora, being an experienced magician, was anything but traditional. She had a keen interest in exploring forbidden knowledge and delved into the hidden histories of Asgard.

When Aaron asked her how to quickly increase his magical energy, Amora had offered two possible solutions.

The first was to obtain Odin's blessing.

Odin, the King of Gods, was far more powerful than the legends suggested.

Aaron had heard of Odin's blessing before. It was said to enhance a person's physical abilities across the board.

The legendary Valkyrie Army, made up of Odin's most loyal female warriors, was empowered by this blessing. Each Valkyrie had the strength of three Asgardian warriors, making them nearly invincible.

At one time, even Thor had dreamed of becoming one of them.

The Valkyrie army had contributed greatly to the unification of the Nine Realms, but after the campaign against Hela, they were sent to their deaths by Odin, with only Valkyrie surviving by sheer luck.

From that point on, Odin stopped creating Valkyries, likely because there was no longer a need for war.

Aaron, however, hadn't known much about Odin's blessing until Amora explained it.

It turned out that Odin's blessing wasn't just about physical strength—it was a way to create gods. And it was permanent.

However, it wasn't as straightforward as simply receiving the blessing. The person had to be chosen by Odin, and the blessing could either improve their physical attributes or grant them powerful magic.

In Aaron's mind, physical enhancement seemed the easier option to control, but it still didn't sit right with him.

He rejected the idea of going down that path, reasoning that if Odin could grant such power, he could just as easily take it away. And besides, the idea of being under Odin's control wasn't appealing to him.

The Valkyrie strength was formidable, but Aaron considered them ants compared to true power. Hela had easily crushed them. And Heimdall, while formidable in his own right, didn't impress Aaron much—except for his all-seeing eye and his long-range teleportation, Heimdall didn't have much else to offer.

The second suggestion Amora had for Aaron was to find the Holy Spring—the Fountain of Wisdom.

Amora had come across references to this legendary fountain in a magical tome. It was said to be located in Jotunheim, surrounded by powerful magic. The spring water contained incredible energy, and if found, it could potentially solve the problem of his magical energy reserves.

Amora wasn't sure if the fountain actually existed—it was merely mentioned in old texts—but Aaron believed it could be true.

In mythology, Odin had exchanged one of his eyes for the knowledge within that spring.

Thor, the Rune King in some versions of the story, had undergone a transformation with the help of the Fountain of Wisdom.

It was said that the Fountain of Wisdom was linked to the World Tree itself. The connection alone was enough to intrigue Aaron.

Aaron's mind was now set. He would make it his goal to find the Holy Spring.
