Sage's office.
her office was the exact replica of mine. it was on the same floor. it had a floor to ceiling window with her chair in front of it. there was a pink couch with a round coffee table in front of it. Beside. across the room was a huge book shelf. that was where my eyes were the whole time I told sage what had transpired between my Father and I.
"What do you mean your Father wants you to get married?" Sage asked me angrily. I knew she would be angry. I was upset about the whole situation too.
"he has already made the decision Sage and there is nothing I can do about it." I sighed
" He has already scheduled for me to meet the man tonight and I don't know what to do about it at all."
" you can run away" she mumbled. like haven't taught about it before now. "I overheard my step mom Anika and Lyra saying he was marrying me off to the Mafia boss of new york. I'm scared Sage. I'm sure he is an old man who derives joy in beating up women.i won't survive it if I marry him. I've already suffered with my father I can't survive another inhumane acts any longer. " I don't why but I was really panicking. This has to be the worse day of my life.
"I can help you run away Lyx. No one will have to know. I need you to live happily. okay?" Sage protested.
" Are you sure?" I whispered silently.
"do you want to run away?"
"yes I do" I affirmed
"then I'll help you. you need to leave now before anyone notices you are gone."
we quickly packed our stuff from the office and left immediately.
" I could not go back home to get my clothes if not my dad will be suspicious. Sage handed me my passport and some cash and drove me straight to New York airport. Once I can escape to Brooklyn I will get a visa and travel to Los Angeles where no one will be able to find me.

"have you done the background check I asked you to do on the woman my father wants me to marry?" I asked Alfredo my personal assistant and right hand man.
"yes I have. her name is Lyxaria Bishop. she owns runs her own company left for her by her mother before she disappeared."
" Lyxaria Bishop. why does that name sound familiar." I inquired. I have a feeling I will like where things are going.
" that's because you signed a contract with her company few weeks ago and she was the one who came for the meeting with her business partner. Sage Flynn".
I refused to believe in fate but I guess it has decided to shove itself in my face.
"why does her father want to marry her if?"
"well, because he owes your father a huge amount of money and he promised your father that will give him his oldest daughter to marry his son knowing that you are the Mafia boss."
" so her Father gave her away?"
"yes he did. But there is a problem".
I leaned into my chair and smirked. I guess this marriage won't be so bad now.
"I want to see her"
"That's the problem Leo. she is gone."
where is she?" I insisted
" she just boarded a plane to Brooklyn 30 minutes ago."
" book a flight for me immediately."
If she thought she can run away from me then she was solely mistaken. I must say this is the best decision my father has ever made in his whole life. I knew we were meant to be. from the moment I stared into her hazel eyes I knew she was the one for me. The urge to break her and watch her yield to me makes it a little more exciting. The fact that she decides to run away thinking she can escape is much more hilarious.
I'm going to enjoy breaking her in every possible way. But I'll try my best not to hurt her. There is this strong urge in me to kill her father. what if I was a maniac like my Father. It's a good thing I'm a little kinder. A little.
"I've already booked the flight. she is staying at the Preston's hotel in Brooklyn" Alfredo stated after some time.
"let's go" I quickly grabbed my coat and headed out.
It was time to bring my little lamb back to me.

The ominous feeling I've been feeling since I came to Brooklyn makes me feel scared. it feels like I'm being followed or someone is watching me from afar. the rain outside is making the whole feeling more chilling. I don't even know where to go from here. I had planned on getting a visa to Los Angeles the moment I landed in Brooklyn but the rain had started falling and I had no choice but take shelter in the nearest hotel I could find. I had to use my real ID since I had not made a fake one yet. I needed to get out of anywhere near new York before my dad starts looking for me. I'm very sure it will be easy to trace me since I used my real identity to travel. I can't even stop my heart from beating loudly because I can't stop panicking at this point.
I quickly took out my phone and dialed Sage number.
"sage?"
"Lyx, how are you?"
"I'm fine I think. I'm so scared right now. Do you know what my father is up to."
"He already knows that you are missing but I'm not sure what he's doing right now."
" i need to get out of Brooklyn Sae. I feel someone so coming for me and it's freaking me out."
" have you bought your ticket for los Angeles?"
" no if I use my real ID my father will be able to track me down earlier."
" your father won't be able to track you down at Lyx. don't worry"
" I'm trying my best to stay calm. I'm waiting for the storm to be over before I get going."
I could feel someone standing right in front of my door. I wanted to think it was room service but the aura from the person behind the door was too strong for me to think otherwise.
" Sage I think someone's at my..."
I could not get to finish my sentence before my door is kicked open and I see the man that has been on my mind for a long time now. but instead of my heart beating in excitement it was beating in fear and I knew my gut feeling was always right.
I know it's not a coincidence that he managed to find me. I hope this is not what I'm thinking.
