Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

Before the Five Kages could leave, Kaguya stopped them.

"Raise your hands," I told them, and Kakashi did so almost instantly, trusting her. A clock appeared in the palm of his hand.

Seeing that it was nothing dangerous, the other Four Kages followed suit and raised their hands.

"What is this?" Kakashi asked, walking away from the rest.

"It's a clock, it will let you know if the Moon leaves its orbit and heads towards Earth, if that's the case, it will show you the time left until Earth is destroyed."

"Let's hope that doesn't happen," Ōnoki said.

After they left, I turned to Kakashi, confused as to why he stayed behind.

"I have something to ask you, Kaguya-sama," he said.

"Go ahead," I replied.

"You don't have to answer my question, I'm just curious, but could you tell me the reason why you stole the Energy Vessel?"

Frowning, I thought about it before answering.

"For the same reason I absorbed Isshiki." I answered without elaborating.

Kakashi nodded, knowing the details behind what happened the day Isshiki and Kara were killed.

"I see. I feel more at ease knowing that." He said, disappearing from the room.

Several hours later.

Teleporting to Toneri Castle on the Moon, Kaguya appeared in the room where Hanabi was resting on a bed, blindfolded after Toneri took her eyes.

"Toneri…" I muttered, thoughtful.

Could I save that child? I was sure Hamura wanted me to, but was it the right thing to do? After what Toneri had done, he deserved to die.

Hamura's soul appeared beside Hanabi's bed, staring at me.

I couldn't speak, as I was being projected through Hanabi's soul, who was also his descendant, but I knew what I wanted to pass on to him.

I didn't really consider him my son, but he was the son of the body I had taken. I might as well do him this favor.

I would normally take the easy way out of things, like with Isshiki when he took advantage of her moment of confusion to sneak up on her and steal her Chakra.

"Tch. I hate taking the hard way." I muttered as I placed my hand over Hanabi's bandaged eyes.

A golden light covered her bandage before I ripped it off, revealing a new pair of eyes.

With Hanabi recovered, I took her into my arms and teleported away again.

Although I was going to take the hard way out of this situation, it didn't mean I was going to waste my time with obstacles.

The team of four that Kakashi talked about, ended up being a team of five, with Hinata joining the team for personal reasons.

The team consisted of Shikamaru as the leader, Sai, Naruto, and Sakura.

Taking advantage of the fact that they were also on the Moon, I teleported to them, who were in an old shinobi village that was abandoned many years ago and released Hanabi on Hinata, who quickly grabbed her in his arms.

Hanabi was still unconscious from what Toneri did to her.

"T-thank you Kaguya-sama." Hinata thanked him.

"Get off the Moon, I'll take care of Toneri." I ignored Hinata and turned to Shikamaru, who nodded in understanding that his mission was over.

"We're going back to Konoha." Shikamaru ordered the others, noticing that Kaguya had already disappeared.

...

Facing Toneri, she looked at him calmly as an army of puppets surrounded her.

"You can't beat me, Kaguya-sama, we don't have to fight either, just get out of my way." Toneri said, confident now that he has the Tenseigan, Hamura's eyes.

The Moon had already started moving towards the Earth slowly.

I sighed at the stupidity of this little boy and activated my own Tenseigan.

"If I had a coin for every time I've been told that, I'd be filthy rich."

I observed his Chakra Circulatory System and memorized his Pressure Points (Tenketsu), moving quickly and hitting all 361 points in just a couple of seconds, preventing Toneri from being able to use his Chakra and incapacitating him before the fight even began.

All the puppets fell to the ground as their continuous supply of Chakra disappeared.

"Train for five hundred years before you face me, brat." I spat mockingly.

I grabbed him by his white hair and began dragging him across the Moon while cursing me, bringing him to the same place Hinata would have brought him if I hadn't intervened, so he would know he had misinterpreted the "divine decree" Hamura left before he died.

Hamura's "Divine Decree," misinterpreted and set in stone by all of his descendants, was as follows: Ancient Oath – To cross the path of humanity like everything else. The Tenseigan's fist, the reborn Moon will destroy the Tenseigan.

What Hamura really wanted to convey is that the Tenseigan should never be revived, and that its descendants should take the same path as humanity, one of peace. Just like his brother Hagoromo and he wanted to build and never achieved.

Instead, their descendants split into two branches that ended in war, leaving only one survivor.

Hamura's soul appeared in front of Toneri and explained that everything he had done was wrong and that his brother's legacy, the land, must not be destroyed.

"Mother, please guide Toneri to the right path..." Hamura asked as he faded away.

"No," I replied, surprising him. "It would be a bother." I finished.

Hamura smiled before nodding his head in agreement. "Sometimes we must do things we don't like for the sake of others," Hamura said.

I clicked my tongue as my own son tried to educate me. In a sense, they were many years older than me, clearly not counting the years Kaguya was sealed away.

"The dead shouldn't talk, it's creepy." I said goodbye to him in my own way.

Toneri, kneeling on the ground, regretful of everything he had done and tried to do, stared into space like a walking dead.

"Come on, kid, it's time for dinner." I said embarrassed as my stomach growled, encouraging him to get up and accompany me back to Amegakure.

"No. I must stay on the Moon, the Moon must never come close to Earth, I will stay to make sure that..." before he finished, I punched him in the head.

Toneri looked at her with a grimace of pain, surprised and confused.

"The Energy Vessel has disappeared, and only the two of us can move the Moon from its place, you have learned from your mistakes, don't beat yourself up over it, let's go back I said."

"But..." Toneri tried to argue, but my fist hit him again.

"Don't argue, let's go back I said."

"Y-yes..." Toneri replied, with both hands on his head, trying to stop her from hitting him again.

"By the way, if you want to get married that badly, I can introduce you to someone, don't kidnap young girls once we get to Amegakure..."

"..." Toneri decided not to answer for his own sanity.
