Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Walking through the forest with Konan in tow, the two of us stopped when we came to a tombstone.

On it was a name.

'Akebi Sanzu'

Akebi was the daughter of Amado Sanzu, the target they were pursuing at the time. He was useful, so she had no plans to kill him.

After Akebi died from an incurable disease, Amado worked tirelessly to be able to clone his daughter. During the nine months it took to develop the clone, Akebi passed away due to her illness at the age of 24.

But despite her death, Amado, initially, felt no sadness about the situation. He preserved Akebi's brain, so he was able to extract and digitize her memories and successfully back them up. Soon after, he completed a clone into which he implanted his daughter's memories; however, the clone felt very different to Amado.

It was then that Jigen, the leader of the Kara organization, contacted Amado and offered to help him resurrect his daughter.

Amado, under the belief that his daughter would return to his arms, joined Kara along with Akebi's clone, Delta.

It was later that he realized that Jigen had no intention of helping him get his precious daughter back, so he decided to betray him and actively seek a way to kill him.

He must only give her what she desires most and she will have him eating out of the palm of his hand.

Does he want his daughter back? She will gladly grant it to him...

The dirt covering Akebi's coffin exploded and his body floated in front of her. "It hasn't been long since she died, I hope you don't find it disgusting to carry her, although her body has already begun the process of decomposition." I turned to Konan.

"Not at all," she replied.

"Let's go back. We'll contact Amado before nightfall."

Konan nodded silently.

...

And just as I said, before it got dark, I teleported to the lab Amado was working in, inside Amegakure.

He was currently working on a new invention; a space-time transport to teleport from one base to another.

In a glass capsule with a strange liquid inside, was Delta.

Delta is a young woman with fair skin and long, green, puffy hair. She wears yellow lipstick and white nail polish. Her eyes are pink and have irises with five dark vertical lines along them. Her outfit consists of a dark, long-sleeved dress with buttons on the abdomen under a black cape fastened with a brooch. She wears long, two-toned stockings and high-heeled sandals that reach up to her thighs. On both wrists she has light bracelets. She has the number 'Ⅰ' tattooed in the center of her forehead.

Amado didn't seem surprised when I suddenly appeared in his lab.

"Jigen said you would look for him, I never thought you would find me in your search." he said.

"I don't care about him, I care about you." I said, getting his attention. "Jigen can't and will never be able to give you your daughter back..." I could see a change in his expression when I brought up the subject. "But you already knew that, am I wrong?"

Amado didn't answer, waiting for me to continue. Ever since his daughter passed away, he didn't fear death, he just saw it as something natural, something science could never overcome.

"I'll give you your daughter, in exchange you'll give me the exact location of Isshiki, and that woman." I said, pointing at Delta with my gaze.

Amado narrowed his eyes, thoughtful. He had no affection for Delta, she was just a clone he created as a substitute for his daughter and she wasn't up to his expectations.

"You'll have to keep your end of the deal first." Amado said suspiciously. Anyone would do that in his situation.

A portal opened behind her as Konan, pushing a stretcher, appeared next to the restored corpse of Akebi, Amado's daughter.

His face twisted at the sight of his daughter, surprised that they had her body. He made sure to bury her somewhere far away, where unwanted people could never disturb her eternal rest.

Unfortunately for him, with the Senrigan in his possession, nothing can escape his gaze.

"There's no problem with that. You can have your daughter right now…" I finished saying, resurrecting his daughter in front of him.

Her body took on a better color and her heart began to beat before her body shook slightly and she opened her eyes.

"I've taken the trouble to remove the disease from her body." I added.

Amado walked over to his disoriented daughter and shined a flashlight into her eyes, observing her reaction to the light.

"You really came back…" Amado took off his glasses to wipe away a couple of tears he couldn't hold back- You had me worried, stupid girl- he said smiling.

Before Akebi could say anything, she fell into a Genjutsu that made her sleep.

"Don't waste time, reprogram Delta." I ordered her.

I kept my part of the deal, now it was her turn, I wasn't going to let her delay.

I would reprogram Delta to be completely loyal to me, forgetting her loyalty and memories with her creator; Amado.

"I thought you would want Jigen's location first" Amado seemed confused by my interest in Delta.

"It's just a matter of time before I find him on my own, getting his location from you will only speed it up, it's not that important" I replied. "My maid will stay to watch and monitor all the progress, I will return when everything is complete" I finished saying.

I trusted Konan for this task, plus I knew that she, as an experienced kunoichi, could gather information that I couldn't.

I also left her behind in case Amado tried anything strange.

Now, while Amado reprogrammed Delta, it was time to take care of other matters.
