KILLED BY HALLIE TORRE
She stared at the TV for more than ten minutes, watching the movie "Nightfall." The movie had top the charts for teenage best movies of the year and the main lead was Hallie Torre, the popular billionaire heiress, actress and model. She was everything Edna wished to be so bad.
Edna smiled, biting her upper lips as she turned, walking out of her house. There was no one to tell her goodbye as she lived alone in the house her grandparents had left for her.
She marched towards school, rather enthusiastically for someone who had suffered bullying from the first day at school. But Edna was brilliant, so she was currently on a scholarship. By next year, she would be done in school and maybe, just maybe, she would be able to become everything she wanted.
Her steps slowed when she got to her school gates and waited for the exotic cars to ride past. The first was a black Rolls Royce, one of the cars Logan Alston drove the school.
Logan Alston.
The son of the president and the most richest man in New York. It was almost impossible to get to see the president's son so close to her but still very out of her reach.
The next was a pink Benz, so pink that it was almost blinding. Edna hated pink but unfortunately, the person she wanted to be like loved pink....too much. Her heart tripled its' beats as Hallie Torre hopped down from the car. This was her model, her mentor, but also her demon.
Hallie smirked at Edna as their eyes met each other's and with a snack of her lips on her lollipop, she turned around, interlocking her hand with Logan's.
Rumours had it that they were dating, but even Edna knew that it was all because of the societal status. Hallie and Logan never clicked. Hallie was too beautiful, Logan was too handsome. Both of them had pride and relished in it, no one could keep calm for the other and that was the major cause of their beef.
After the other cars got in, Edna made to move but shit, someone else passed by, making her graze between the gate and the car. It was so close to her and Edna felt she would suffocate.
Why had Gary Torre not chosen to ride into the school peacefully and instead, turn his car towards her crazily?
"Good morning, fatty." Gary smirked at her, after winding down and winded up again before Edna could speak. Not that she had anything to say though.
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, plastering a fake smile on her lips, before she walked into the school compound totally. Not many students were walking with her. It was simple and understandable. Phoenix Academy was not for the poor.
Edna tucked her rather big shirt all over again and took another very big breath before entering her class room. It was a large classroom with only about twenty chairs and tables in it and of all people to be her classmates, it was the worst of all.
She was in classroom with Hallie Torre, Logan Alston, Neal Williams, Kozette Arnater and Marlo Bud. At least, those were the most important people in the class. The people who really had New York City in their hands. Little pimps like others, including her had nothing to do with those in power.
She was grateful, however, for the fact that Hallie's twin brother, Gary, a very big troublemaker was not in her class. Although, he usually dropped by to make some jokes -that directly or indirectly insulted Edna- most of the times, he was stuck in his classroom, being a billionaire heir.
The properties of the Torre's were going to be split very equally among the twins but that still amounts in billions, but if Edna was the both of them, she'd loved to keep it merged, cos that would just give them more power than splitting up.
As she trudged towards her seat at the end of the class and very close to the window, her eyes met with Logan's grey eyes and she gulped immediately, refusing to linger for too long. She turned towards the window and only glanced up again at him, when he finally went to seat down.
Edna focused her gaze back outside the window, where she could see the large field. So large it could almost compare with a small sized stadium. The seats there could take over two thousand people and if Edna sat there, she wouldn't be seen.
The bang of some books on her table made her look up and she came face to face with Miss Jessica, the teacher she hated most.
"Can you tell me why you have been looking at the stadium?" Ms. Jessica asked, her neck peeking out and she gasped lightly.
"Don't tell me you have been staring at Gary Torre."
A large bump formed immediately in Edna's throat as she looked again and truthfully, Gary Torre was there, throwing a shot into the basketball net. She had not seen him before, when had he appeared?
Edna looked around, the whole class staring at her awkwardly. Hallie eyed her exceptionally, while Logan just stared at her with the most unreadable expression ever. She made to open her mouth and explain, but no words came out.
"I'm so disappointed in you, Edna. I can't believe this. You gawking at a guy when you are supposed to be listening in class."
"I was not gawking at him." Edna said immediately and Ms. Jessica banged her hand on the table.
"Then what was the last thing I said in class?" She asked and Edna's eyes flicked towards the white board. Her throat immediately went dry when she saw the different inscriptions that filled the board and she had no idea of anything. When had Ms. Jessica written all this? When did she even get to the class?
With a body shape that she hated, a life that she loathed, jobs that could kill, God accompanied them with a dumb ass brain. She had to peer into books for hours to pass her exams and that was only if she even had time.
"I don't know. I wasn't listening." She resigned to her fate. They can say whatever they chose, but she knew she wasn't staring at Gary. She could never do that. She would rather shove Miss Jessica down her throat than stare at Gary while he was playing stupid basketball.
"So you admit you were staring at Gary Torre?" Ms. Jessica wasn't giving up. That was who she was, a lick ass lady. She would never talk to Hallie or any of the rich kids like this. She was only free to insult Edna whenever she liked and she claimed it was 'Survival Methods.' Edna wondered why her own survival methods included bullying.
"You can say whatever you like." She mouthed to Ms. Jessica. On a norms, she would be sent out for detention on a claim of disrespect, but Ms. Jessica already got what she wanted, which was Edna confession, directly or indirectly.
Edna refuses to look at the teacher or outside the window, till Ms. Jessicaefy her front and walked back to the board, rather sophisticatedly for someone who was licking boots to cover up her nakedness.
After two hours of understanding basically nothing, Edna could finally have a breather. But it was short lived as Hallie immediately strolled to her desk, before the teacher evicted the class totally.
"So you were gawking at my brother?" Hallie slammed her hand on the desk, her head coming ridiculously close to Edna's face.
"Gawking is a wrong word. I had no idea he was even there." She argued and Hallie smirked. No matter how evil she tried to look with that, Edna couldn't get the fact out of her head that Hallie was too beautiful, too beautiful to be a human.
"Don't worry. I'm not really annoyed. You see, Gary might just need an oversized p for a change." She said and Edna sighed as the class bursted into laughter, except off course, the iced king, Logan Alston.
"My p is not oversized." Edna gritted her teeth. No matter how Hallie was beautiful, she was still a very annoying bug.
"Really?" Hallie folded her hands, shifting back dramatically, "That's such a huge contrast to your body shape."
Tears filled Edna's eyes and she blinked several times trying to keep them at bay.
"It's okay. You are used to this, Edna Young." She said to herself mentally.
"Cat got your tongue?" Hallie asked but Edna refused to continue the entertainment. She was going to hold off until she became a good and rich actress like Hallie.
"Edna!" Hallie was getting annoyed that Edna was ignoring her. Edna gave her a glance and sighed lightly before placing her books inside her bag and stood up, but enraged Hallie wasn't having it.
"Sit down, there, Edna. And reply me when I'm talking to you." Hallie shot angrily.
"Why should I? Are you going to tell them to beat me up again if I refuse?" Edna's gaze hardened.
"Yes I will, so sit down!" With that, Hallie pushed Edna's shoulder hardly.
The last thing everyone heard was Edna's scream as she tumbled over the chair and her head went backwards, before she finally fell outside the window.
Her body hit the ground hardly and her head split open, her balls raised to the top of her eyes and her mouth open wide.
"Edna!!!!!"
