Chapter 1: The Chosen Warrior
The sound of a ball being kicked echoed through the empty field. The sun had barely risen, but Goro was already out, training as he did every morning. Sweat dripped from his forehead as he sprinted across the field, perfecting his dribbling, passing, and shooting. He had one goal—to become the best footballer in the world.
But life wasn't easy.
At school, Goro was constantly bullied. They called him names, pushed him around, and tried to break him. But Goro never backed down. When they punched him, he punched back harder. When they surrounded him, he fought them all and won. One by one, he crushed his bullies, making sure they never messed with him again. But even though he won every fight, he still felt empty.
He wanted more.
That night, as Goro lay on his bed staring at the ceiling, a strange feeling crept over him. It was as if something—or someone—was watching him. Then, suddenly, a blinding light filled the room. Goro sat up, his heart pounding. Right before him, floating in the air, was a being unlike anything he had ever seen.
A man with golden wings. His presence radiated overwhelming power, and his silver eyes pierced through Goro's soul.
"Goro," the angel spoke.
Goro's breath hitched. "W-Who are you?"
"My name is Jophiel. I am an angel of the gods."
Goro's mind raced. An angel? This had to be a dream. There was no way this was real.
"What… What do you want from me?"
Jophiel's eyes glowed. "You have been chosen."
Goro blinked. "Chosen? Chosen for what?"
Jophiel smiled. "To become a celestial warrior. To become a god."
Goro's eyes widened. "What?"
Jophiel slowly descended, his feet touching the ground. "Every hundred years, a new god must rise. The gods you worship, the beings you think are immortal, are not. They are powerful, but they are not eternal. They need the Elixir of Eternity—an artifact so rare that even they cannot find it."
Goro swallowed hard, trying to process what he was hearing. "So… what does that have to do with me?"
Jophiel's wings spread wide, and an overwhelming energy filled the room. "The gods have chosen warriors from Earth to search for the elixir. Only the strongest can claim it. And the one who does… will ascend to become the next ruler of the pantheon."
Goro clenched his fists. "You're saying… if I find the elixir, I become a god?"
"Yes."
A rush of excitement and fear surged through Goro's body. This was insane. This was impossible. And yet… he could feel it. The energy around Jophiel was real. The overwhelming presence of something beyond human comprehension.
Jophiel stepped closer. "In two months, your test will begin. Until then, I will train you."
Goro took a deep breath. "This… This is really happening, isn't it?"
Jophiel nodded. "You were chosen for a reason. Your willpower is beyond human limits. The gods saw potential in you. But potential alone is not enough. You must become stronger."
Goro smirked. "So I'm a celestial warrior now?"
Jophiel crossed his arms. "Not yet. But you will be."
A fiery determination burned in Goro's eyes. He had spent his whole life fighting. He had never backed down. And now… he was ready for something even greater.
A new battle was about to begin.
A battle to become a god.
