As Elena stepped out of Felix's car, the evening breeze caressed her face. She was led into the mansion, where the meeting was taking place. Inside, she was greeted by a room full of people, including Maya, Clara, her father, Felix's father, and Felix's mother.
Elena bowed her head slightly, acknowledging the mournful atmosphere. Felix's mother approached her, saying, "Sorry for your loss."
Elena smiled weakly and bowed her head again. As she took her seat, the maid served food and drinks.
According to the discussion, the wedding was to be fixed in three days' time. Elena dropped her cutlery, shocked. "Three days' time, Dad? It's too early."
Her father ignored her, and the room erupted in applause. Elena slammed her fist on the table, her voice rising. "Father, can you just stop hurting my feelings? Three days is too early. Mother just died, and you're doing this. At least we should have time to mourn her."
Her father glared at her, his face red with anger. "How dare you! She's gone, and she's gone forever. What else can we do? We've done the funeral. What else?"
Clara, Elena's stepmother, intervened, placing a calming hand on David's arm. "Honey, she's just..." But Elena cut her off, returning to her seat.
Felix spoke up, his voice annoyingly cheerful. "Father, I'm really okay with that decision. I really can't wait to get married to this beautiful damsel."
Elena felt a surge of frustration and desperation. What was she supposed to do now?
Clara intervened again, her voice firm. "Enough of the shouting and yelling. Let's just eat."
Elena abruptly stood up after dinner, excusing herself. "I'm not feeling too well. I need to go."
Her father nodded, and Felix offered to drive her home, but Elena declined. "No, no, don't worry. I'll be fine."
As she walked out of the estate, Elena decided to grab a drink before hailing a taxi. She ended up drinking more than she intended and soon found herself stumbling along the main road.
Cars whizzed by, but Elena didn't flinch. She was too drunk to care. Just as a truck was about to speed by, a figure suddenly appeared and pulled her out of harm's way.
As Elena looked up, she saw the devil, Zamiel, staring back at her. "You..." she slurred in a drunken state.
Zamiel tried to walk away, but Elena rushed after him, grabbing his arm. "Thank you! This is the third time you've saved me!"
She stumbled over her words, but Zamiel was trying to brush her off.
But Elena persisted, her drunk brain pouring out her gratitude. "If my mother had died, I would have killed myself. You saved me that first time, and the second time, and now this is the third time!"
Zamiel tried to walk away again, but Elena suddenly punched him in the arm. "Why are you always so cold?" she demanded, her words slurred. "Why are you so cold every time we meet?"
Elena continued to ramble in her drunken state, "My mom used to tell me that devils are always ugly and have hairy hands. She said they don't show mercy."
But as she looked at Zamiel, she couldn't help but contradict herself. "But you... you're different. Your hair is so long and pretty, your eyebrows are cute, and your pupil are beautiful."
Elena's words were nonsensical, but she couldn't stop talking. "Sometimes I wonder if you're truly a devil. You don't seem like the devil my mom described."
Zamiel stood there, watching Elena with an unreadable expression. He didn't respond to her drunken ramblings, but instead, let her continue to talk nonsense.

The next morning, Elena woke up to find her mother sitting beside her, staring into her face. Elena screamed, standing up abruptly. "Mother, you scared me!"
Her mother laughed. "I scared you? You scared me too, jumping up like that." She smiled and patted Elena's hand. "I ordered breakfast. Let's eat."
Elena's mind was foggy. "Mother, how did I get here?"
Her mother smiled mischievously. "An handsome stranger brought you."
Elena's head started spinning as memories came flooding back. She remembered throwing up on the stranger's coat, and suddenly, she recalled who the stranger was.her eyes widened in shock,it was the handsome devil, how the hell did he even know that hotel she was staying at????
Her mother handed her phone to Elena. "Check the news."
Elena's eyes widened as she read the headline: "CEO Elena Montero caught with stranger last night." The article speculated about the identity of the stranger and whether Elena was cheating on Felix.
Elena looked up at her mother, outraged. "Mom, what is this?"
"Are you asking me that?" Her mother said standing you "you didn't even tell me you were getting married"
Her mom stood up, walking away.
Elena was still in bed, wondering who could have captured the photos of her with the handsome devil. Her phone rang, breaking her train of thought. She quickly picked it up, seeing that it was Detective Kailan on the line.
"Hello, Detective," Elena said.
"Hello, Miss Elena," the detective replied.
Elena's heart skipped a beat. "Has the person confessed who sent him to kill me?"
The detective hesitated before delivering the news. "Sorry, Miss Elena, but the person has killed himself."
Elena was taken aback. "What? How? When?"
The detective explained, "We're still surprised ourselves. It seems he drank poison. We didn't know he had access to anything like that."
Elena's frustration boiled over, and she ended the call abruptly.
Meanwhile, David sat in the mini office in his house, seething with anger. He had read the article and seen the pictures of Elena with a stranger. Who was this person, and how dare Elena cheat on Felix when their wedding was just three days away?
Clara entered the room, a sly smile spreading across her face. "Like mother, like daughter," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "The same blood runs through their veins."

Felix's mother stood in the living room, her eyes blazing with anger as she held up a newspaper. "I've always known that girl wasn't trustworthy," she spat, her voice venomous.
Felix, seated on the couch, looked up at his mother calmly. "What are you talking about, Mother?" he asked, his tone neutral.
His mother waved the newspaper in the air. "This article! It's all about Elena's scandalous behavior. And the pictures! Oh, Felix, how can you still want to marry her after seeing these?"
Felix's expression didn't change, but his voice took on a slightly defensive tone. "Nobody is forcing me to get married to her, Mother. I like her, and I will marry her."
His mother's face turned red with rage. "You're making a huge mistake, Felix! That girl is not worthy of you!"
Felix stood up, his eyes flashing with determination. "I'll be the judge of that, Mother. And once we're married, she'll be mine alone. She won't dare try anything like this again."
His mother's expression turned skeptical, but Felix just smiled confidently. "Our wedding is in three days, Mother. And after that, Elena will be my wife. Forever."
