Elena walked into the company, where her staff and workers were all chatting. Most of them didn't even notice her presence, too engrossed in their conversation. She knew they were discussing the latest article, and she wondered who could have taken a photo of her and posted it online.
"That person better hide," Elena muttered to herself.
She decided to ignore her staff and headed straight to her office. As she sat down, her mind wandered back to the devil she had met. She didn't even know his name, but she couldn't help smiling as she thought about how handsome he was.
"If there's a word more better than handsome, that's the word I'd use to describe him," Elena said to herself, still smiling.
She rested her hand on the desk, lost in thought. "I wonder if someone like him falls in love," she mused.
Elena was so caught up in her daydream that she didn't notice the knock on the door. When she finally did, she jolted upright, suddenly back to reality.
"Oh, come in," Elena said, and the door opened to reveal one of her staff members holding a pile of files.
"Good morning, ma'am," the staff member said.
"Good morning," Elena responded, her eyes fixed on the files. "Wait, I'm supposed to sign all of these?"
"Yes, ma'am," the staff member replied.
Elena looked at her and said, "Find then, you can leave now."
As the staff member turned to leave, Elena called out, "Wait, wait, hold on! Go out there and announce to everyone that If I come out and catch anyone not working, they will be fired!"
The staff member nodded and quickly left the room.
Elena sighed and looked down at the files in front of her. There were over fifty, and each one required her signature. She rubbed her temples, feeling overwhelmed.
Just as she was about to start signing, her mind began to wander back to the mysterious person who had tried to kill her. What could have motivated them? And what had really happened to them?
Elena's thoughts were interrupted by a desire to see the handsome devil again. She whispered to herself, "I really want to see him again. He's so cute, so handsome."
Elena's eyes glazed over as she began to daydream about the stranger. She forgot about the files, forgot about the meeting, and forgot about everything else except the handsome stranger.
As she sat there, lost in thought, Elena's face broke out into a soft smile. She was so caught up in her daydream that she didn't even notice when she started to choke on her own saliva.
Elena composed herself and decided to call it a day. As the CEO, she normally stayed late into the evening, but she had a lot to prepare for her upcoming wedding.
She stood up and walked out of her office, her secretary following closely behind her.
"Let's get started on the wedding preparations," Elena said to her secretary. "I need to finalize the seating arrangements and confirm the catering. Can you get the wedding planner on the phone for me?"
***********************
Elena and Felix walked into the upscale boutique, surrounded by racks of designer dresses and shelves of sparkling accessories. They had agreed to meet here to finalize the wedding preparations, despite their indifferences.
As they browsed through the store, Felix couldn't help but notice how beautiful Elena looked. He had always admired her strength and determination, and now he couldn't wait to make her his wife.
Elena, on the other hand, was not as enthusiastic. She had agreed to marry Felix, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that she was making a mistake. They had been enemies for so long.
As they picked out wedding dresses and accessories, Felix couldn't help but tease Elena about her lack of excitement. "Come on, Elena, can't you just pretend to be a little happy?" he asked, smiling.
Elena rolled her eyes. "Happy? With you? Don't make me laugh."
Felix chuckled. "Well, I'll just have to change that. By the time we're married, you'll be head over heels in love with me."
Elena snorted. "I'd rather die."
Felix smiled and shook his head. "You're a tough nut to crack, Elena. But I'm up for the challenge."
Despite their banter, they managed to finalize the wedding preparations. As they left the boutique, Felix turned to Elena and said, "You know, I'm really looking forward to this wedding. And to spending the rest of my life with you."
Elena raised an eyebrow. "You're disgusting."
Felix just smiled and shook his head. "I'll take that as a compliment."
As the sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow over the bustling streets, Felix glanced at his watch and realized it was already almost six.
"I'll drop you home," he said to Elena, smiling.
But Elena shook her head, her eyes narrowing slightly. "No, I'll take a cab."
Felix raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure? It's no trouble at all."
Elina's expression turned cold. "I guess your ears are malfunctioning!"
Felix shrugged, his smile fading. "Suit yourself."
Elena turned and walked away, disappearing into the crowd. Felix watched her go, a mixture of frustration and admiration swirling in his chest.
Meanwhile, Elena hailed a cab and headed home, her mind still reeling from the events of the day. As she stepped out of the cab and onto the sidewalk, she felt a sense of relief wash over her. She was finally alone.
But as she approached her front door, she realized that something was off. The door was unlocked, and the house was eerily quiet.
"Mother?" Elena called out, her voice echoing through the empty halls.
There was no response.
Elena's heart began to beat faster as she moved through the house, searching for any sign of her mother. But there was nothing.
She quickly pulled out her phone and dialed her mother's number. The phone rang several times before her mother finally picked up.
"Hello?" her mother said, sounding breathless.
"Where are you?" Elena demanded, trying to keep her voice calm. "I came home and the door was unlocked. I was worried sick."
Her mother chuckled. "Oh, dear, I'm so sorry. I just stepped out to get some groceries. I've been cooped up in the house for too long, and I needed to stretch my legs."
Elena's relief quickly turned to anger. "What were you thinking? It's not safe for you to be out alone, especially at this time of day."
Her mother sighed. "I can take care of myself, Elena. Don't worry so much."
But before Elena could respond, her mother ended the call.
Elena was left standing in the empty hallway, feeling frustrated and worried. She took a deep breath and tried to shake off the feeling of unease.
But as she turned to head back to the living room, she noticed something out of the corner of her eye. A piece of paper on the floor, partially hidden under the couch.
She walked over to investigate, her heart beating slightly faster. As she bent down to pick up the paper, she felt a hand clamp over her mouth, and everything went black.
Elena's eyes slowly fluttered her mind foggy and disoriented. She tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over her, forcing her back down.
As she struggled to regain her bearings, she realized that she was lying on her balcony, her wrists and ankles bound by ropes. A gag had been tied around her mouth, silencing her screams.
Panic set in as she thrashed about, trying to free herself. But the ropes were too tight, and she was trapped.
Elena's eyes welled up with tears as she realized the gravity of her situation. She was at the mercy of her captors, and she had no idea what they wanted from her.
As she lay there, helpless and terrified, she heard the sound of footsteps approaching. Two men appeared on the balcony, their faces obscured by the shadows.
"What do we do with her?" one of them asked, his voice low and menacing.
"We should throw her down," the other man replied, his tone callous. "She's going to die anyway."
Elena's heart skipped a beat as she heard the men discussing her fate. She tried to scream, but the gag muffled her cries.
The men continued to argue, their voices growing louder and more heated. Elena's eyes darted back and forth between them, her mind racing with fear.
Who were these men? And why did they want her dead?
As she listened to their conversation, Elena's thoughts turned to Felix. Had he been behind her kidnapping? Or was it someone else entirely?
The questions swirled in her mind, but she had no answers. All she could do was lie there, helpless and afraid, as the men continued to discuss her fate.
One of the men turned to her, his eyes glinting with malice. "You want to die, don't you?" he sneered.
Elena's eyes widened in terror as the man reached out and touched her face. She tried to struggle, but the ropes held her fast.
The man's hand trailed down her cheek, his fingers brushing against her skin. Elena felt a wave of revulsion wash over her, and she knew that she had to escape.
But how?
The two men lifted Elena up, her bound wrists and ankles rendering her helpless. She tried to scream, but the gag muffled her cries. She struggled and kicked, but it was no use.
As they raised her above the balcony railing, Elena knew she was staring death in the face. The ground below seemed to stretch out endlessly, a distant and unforgiving surface that would snuff out her life in an instant.
The men hesitated for a moment, their eyes glinting with malice. Then, with a sudden burst of strength, they hurled Elena over the edge.
Time seemed to slow down as Elena plummeted towards the ground. She closed her eyes, bracing herself for the impact that would end her life.
But it never came.
Instead, Elena felt herself being caught in mid-air, her fall arrested by a pair of strong arms. She opened her eyes to find herself staring up at the devilishly handsome stranger who had saved her life.
Before she could even process what had just happened, the stranger had teleported safely in her sitting room, Elena still clutched in his arms. He set her down gently on the couch, his eyes never leaving hers.
As Elena struggled to catch her breath, the stranger turned and walked over to the balcony, where the two men who had tried to kill her were still standing, frozen in shock.
He approached them and with a swift and deadly motion, the stranger landed heavy punches at them at once, and they became uncouncious immediately, their bodies crumpling to the ground. He quickly tied them up, leaving them lying in the middle of the sitting room.
As Elena watched, still trying to process the events of the past few minutes, the stranger turned and walked back over to her. He reached out and gently removed the gag from her mouth, his fingers brushing against her skin.
"You aren't hurt?" He asked codly
Elena nodded, still trying to find her voice. "A..am not" she stuttered.
The stranger looked at her coldly his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Good," he said.
As Elena looked up at him, she felt a surge of gratitude towards this devil stranger who had saved her life. But she also felt a sense of unease.
As Zamiel turned to leave, Elena stopped him. "What's your name?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
Zamiel raised an eyebrow. "Why do you want to know that?" he asked, his voice low and husky.
Elena's face scrunched up in a pleading expression. "I just want to know the name of the person who's been saving me," she said, her voice trembling.
Zamiel's expression reamained unreadable and he said, "Zamiel."
Elena's eyes widened in awe. "Wow, that name is so heavenly," she breathed. "It's as beautiful as you."
Zamiel's eyes narrowed, and he said, "Can I go now?"
Elena's face fell, but she quickly recovered. "Can you stay a bit with me?" she asked, her voice laced with a hint of seduction.
Zamiel's eyes flashed with anger, and he said, "What do you take me for? I have tons of work to do."
Elena stood up, her eyes locked on Zamiel's. "Do you like me?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Zamiel's face went still,trying to compose himself3lf.
Elena's eyes sparkled with amusement, and she said, "I feel like you like me. You've been saving me, and you're a devil who grants wishes and collects lives. I feel like I'm being lucky or something."
Zamiel's face turned red, and he said, "I guess the fall must have tampered with your brain."
Elena laughed, a melodious sound that filled the room. "Of course, I didn't fall. Somebody was there to save me, and I'm really grateful."
Zamiel stood there staring coldly at elena,he hated being thanked.
Elena's eyes locked on Zamiel's, and she said, "Please stay until the police arrive. You're always being so cold."
Zamiel stared at her and finally stood at the conner of the sitting room.
As they waited for the police, Elena got up and went to the kitchen, returning with two cups of tea. "Here, I made some tea," she said, holding out a cup to Zamiel.
Zamiel ignored her, elena was embarrassed She chuckled nervously and said, "Oh, I just....!
