As soon as Ayra and Roham departed, Adriana's emotions boiled over. She stormed into Ryder's study, her eyes blazing with anger and hurt.
"How could you, Ryder?" Adriana demanded, her voice trembling. "How could you trade your own sister to that monster, Roham?"
Ryder's expression turned somber, his eyes filled with regret. "I had no choice, Adriana. I owed Roham a debt, and this was the price I had to pay."
Adriana's laughter was laced with bitterness. "A debt? You mean the debt of bringing me back to life? I overheard your conversation with Caleb, Ryder. I know the truth."
Ryder's face paled, but he didn't deny Adriana's words.
"If only Ayra knew," Adriana whispered, her voice cracking. "She'd never forgive you, Ryder."
Adriana's anger and hurt overwhelmed her, and she ran from the study, locking herself in the bathroom. Ryder knocked on the door, but Adriana refused to open it.
Ryder's anger flared, and he stormed out of the mansion, seeking an outlet for his frustration. He made his way to the rogue wolf den, a place where he could unleash his fury.
Inside the den, Ryder found Caleb, his friend and confidant, fighting off a snarling rogue wolf. Caleb had come to the den to vent his anger and heartache over losing Ayra. Ryder joined the fight, and together they battled the wolf.
Meanwhile, Madison retreated to her room, searching her wardrobe for a sexy lingerie set. She planned to surprise Caleb, to comfort him and perhaps claim his heart for herself. When she couldn't find Caleb in his room, she searched the mansion, finally tracking him down to the rogue wolf den.
As Madison watched from the shadows, Ryder and Caleb fought side by side, their movements fluid and deadly. She smiled to herself, her eyes fixed on Caleb's powerful form. Tonight, she would make her move, and Caleb would be hers.
