Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 – The Birth of the Twin Gods

Chapter 1 – The Birth of the Twin Gods

A long time ago, before time itself existed, there was only the Void—a boundless expanse of absolute nothingness. Silence reigned, eternal and unbroken, for there was no life, no movement, no existence. It was a place where nothing could survive, where no being had ever been. And so, the Void remained still, countless eons passing without measure, for even time had yet to be born.

Then, by some unknowable accident, the Void gave rise to an incomplete rule—an entity that, despite its imperfection, possessed the faintest trace of consciousness. It had no thoughts, no emotions, and no desires, only a singular, instinctive purpose: to complete itself. To create.

This silent longing led to the birth of more such incomplete rules. They emerged one after another, each possessing form yet lacking true identity. Though they had no emotions and no desires beyond their purpose, they shared a singular will—an unspoken command from the Void itself: to create.

Thus, they began their work.

They shaped countless creations—the first universes, worlds, and constellations. Yet, their creations were flawed, incomplete, unworthy of their purpose. Time and time again, they destroyed what they had made, only to begin anew, each attempt a failure in their unfathomable pursuit of perfection.

For billions of cycles, they created and destroyed, yet never did they find satisfaction. Slowly, something foreign crept into their existence—a formless despair, a sense of longing beyond their understanding.

And then, one among them noticed something. A revelation.

They had shaped countless things, yet had never once considered themselves. Their own forms moved with purpose, existing beyond mere function. In that moment, an idea took root.

If nothing they created could satisfy them, then perhaps the answer lay within themselves.

Thus, a terrible, beautiful decision was made. There were nine of them—beings so powerful, so absolute, that their very existence shaped reality itself. And so, they sacrificed themselves, shattering their divine bodies to forge something greater than all their failed creations.

Their remains became the foundation of existence itself, forming the vast and boundless Realms. Their essence gave birth to life, to creatures of unknown intelligence, capable of shaping their own destinies. And as eons passed, powerful beings emerged from these creations, rising above the rest.

They called themselves Gods.

In time, these beings named the realms forged from the fallen creators: the God Realm, the Demon Realm, the Spirit Realm, the Underworld, and, lastly, the Human Realm.

Thus, from the death of the Nine came the birth of all things.

A sharp chime echoed through Olivia's skull.

Ding! [The System has been activated. Beginning divine birth sequence…]

She groaned. The endless voice in her head had been ringing for what felt like hours, spouting nonsense about ancient creation myths. She cracked open her eyes, immediately shutting them again as the blinding radiance of the world overwhelmed her senses.

Her body felt… strange. Light, yet unsteady, as though she were floating and sinking at the same time.

"…Eri, this stupid system is talking nonsense again! It doesn't even have an ability to make a cake—I want a cake! This system keeps ringing in my ears—ahhh!"

The one complaining was Olivia, a lethargic girl with golden-blonde hair, radiant skin, and a delicate, breathtaking face. Despite her stunning features, her expression was one of pure misery as she grumbled in annoyance.

"Vivi, let's not worry about this useless thing. Our priority now is to survive. I don't know how we ended up here, but let's be patient, okay?"

Beside Olivia was her twin sister, Ella, who shared her features but carried a sharper, more focused demeanor. Their faces were identical, yet their expressions were stark opposites—one sulking, the other wary.

The two sat on the cold, sacred ground of an unfamiliar world, their bodies wrapped in nothing but the lingering glow of divine energy. A shattered purple stone lay beside them, flickering weakly with fading light.

For as long as they had been awake, an unfamiliar presence had been whispering in their minds—unrelenting, endless. And then, another ding rang out.

Ding! [Congratulations! The two of you have successfully hatched as the newborn Twin Gods.] Reward: [Absolute Skill: Kneeling]

Silence.

"…Eri, I think I'm going crazy," Olivia muttered, staring blankly ahead.

Ella nearly laughed but managed to hold it in. She, too, felt like she was losing her mind, but she forced herself to think logically.

"Is this like… transmigration? Reincarnation? Something like that?" Ella wondered. She had read plenty of stories with similar concepts, but experiencing it firsthand was completely different. This can't be real…

She looked at Olivia, suddenly feeling a wave of unease. This wasn't just her problem—it was theirs. She needed to figure out how to survive in this unknown world, how to protect her pampered twin.

"Vivi, it's okay. I feel the same way. I think this system is crazy, so just ignore it—I'm sure it kidnapped us," Ella reassured.

Olivia immediately nodded. "Yes, that's right! We're innocent! Let us get back to Mom!" she pouted.

The system, however, remained silent, as if ignoring their complaints. This drained Olivia's energy, and before she knew it, she was dozing off, using Ella's lap as a pillow.

Ella sighed, gently patting Olivia's head. She needed information.

"System, where is this?" she asked.

Ding! [The host is currently within the God Seed's Temple, where newborn gods are born. Please be patient and wait for the arrival of your family.]

"…We have family here?" Ella blinked. That was unexpected. No—wait! That wasn't the point!

"I'm asking what world this is!"

Ding! [The host is currently within the God Realm.]

Ella's breath hitched. So that lore from earlier… it wasn't just a story?

She glanced at Olivia before testing something. "Can you give us some useful skills? One that lets us communicate with each other?"

Ding! [Due to the deep connection between you and your sister, the Twin Hosts have possessed this skill from the beginning: [Telepathy]. Simply focus and connect your consciousness with each other, and the Twin Hosts will naturally be able to converse without restrictions or limits.]

Ella frowned. That easy?

She focused—and suddenly, Olivia's voice rang in her mind.

"Eri?"

Olivia stirred, rubbing her forehead. Ella just patted her head, coaxing her back to sleep.

Suddenly, the sky cracked.

Ella's gaze snapped upward as the world trembled. The serene heavens fractured like fragile glass, a vortex of gold and violet spiraling into existence.

Five figures emerged.

They wore elaborate golden robes adorned with celestial jewels, their very presence distorting reality itself. At the center stood a man with flowing black hair, his crown glimmering with untold power. Beside him, a woman with golden locks radiated an aura of divine authority.

Three younger figures followed—two black-haired boys and a blonde girl, their expressions unreadable.

Then, the youngest among them gasped, her violet eyes lighting up with excitement.

"Mom! My twin sisters are finally born! Can I hug them?!" she squealed, practically vibrating with joy.

Ella stiffened.

Olivia snored.

And thus, the chaos of their new life began.
