Chapter 2 – The Arrival of the Twin Gods
"You can do what you want," the beautiful woman said in an indifferent tone. Her expression remained composed, but there was no mistaking it—the resemblance was undeniable. These people were most likely their blood relatives.
Ella remained quiet, analyzing the situation.
"Whoa, Mom, look!" The golden-haired girl's voice was filled with excitement as she examined the temple ruins. "The God Seed's Temple—protected by divine laws and strong enough to rival even a Horizon Realm cultivator—is completely shattered! Just how strong have my little sisters become? Did they already awaken their Primal Embers and absorb ambient Primordial Forces?"
Her golden eyes gleamed with shock.
Even with her Primal Nexus Realm strength, she couldn't scratch this place, let alone destroy it. Only their parents, who surpassed her by two whole realms, should have been capable of such a feat. The thought left her stunned.
The middle-aged man beside her, their father, spoke with a calm but thoughtful tone.
"It's true. They did shatter the barrier."
He exchanged a glance with his wife, and a silent understanding passed between them.
Then, his gaze sharpened.
"Cirus, prevent any outsiders from probing the temple."
"Understood, Father."
A black-haired young man, Cirus, nodded before vanishing into the vortex behind them. His departure left only four people standing within the ruined sanctuary.
Despite his composed demeanor, their father's thoughts churned.
Newborn gods shouldn't be capable of this. Just what kind of potential do they hold?
Meanwhile, Ella frowned.
She already disliked how these people carried themselves—arrogant, as if the world belonged to them. But she kept her expression neutral, hiding her thoughts behind a mask of innocence.
Beside her, Olivia stirred.
She yawned, rubbing her face drowsily before blinking up at the people floating before them. Her gaze was hazy with sleep, but she could feel the tension in the air.
Then, a voice echoed in her mind.
"Vivi, stay put. These people will probably take us home. Just be patient—there's bound to be good food there."
At the mention of food, Olivia drooled slightly before lazily nodding.
Rather than questioning the situation, she simply yawned again, then closed her eyes and fell back asleep.
The golden-haired girl, still brimming with excitement, stepped forward.
"Little sisters, can you hear me? I'm your big sister! Call me Big Sister Althea if you want!" Her voice was filled with joy.
But silence followed.
Ella didn't respond.
She needed more information before deciding how to act. If these people weren't trustworthy, she and Olivia might need to escape one day. Understanding their home and power system was more important than humoring their so-called sister.
Althea's excitement dimmed at the lack of response.
"Mom… could it be that they don't like me?" she asked, sounding almost hurt.
Her mother studied the twins for a moment before answering.
"They are simply uncomfortable," she said coolly. Then, with a decisive tone, she continued, "But naming them must be done. They are my daughters. They require proper names."
Althea's eyes lit up.
"Mother, can I name them?" she asked eagerly.
Ella's eyes narrowed slightly.
"System, does naming us mean we become their property?"
Ding!
[System Notice] [The Twin Hosts have already been named, and their names cannot be changed. However, naming a newborn god is merely a ceremonial tradition to recognize them as part of the family.]
Ella exhaled in relief.
If it was just a tradition, then she could use this to her advantage.
She tilted her head, deliberately making her voice sound childish and slurred.
"Um… I'm Ella, and this is Olivia. We named each other!"
For a moment, silence stretched between them.
Then—
Althea gasped in delight.
With blurring speed, she appeared in front of Ella and scooped her into a tight embrace, her golden eyes shimmering with joy.
"Your body is so soft… and you smell so good!" she gushed, nuzzling against her.
Their mother's fingers twitched slightly, as if she regretted not hugging them first.
After a moment, Althea reluctantly released Ella—only to immediately pick up Olivia, who remained blissfully asleep, curled up like a small child.
She hugged her tightly before reluctantly letting go, then turned to her mother with a proud expression.
"They're definitely geniuses! Without absorbing Primordial Forces, they can already speak properly!"
Her mother gave a small nod of approval.
"Since they have already named themselves, that is acceptable. Now, we must return home. They must begin absorbing Primordial Forces to grow into proper gods."
Althea turned eagerly to her mother.
"Mom, should we go now?"
Their mother nodded.
With a simple wave of her hand, space distorted around Olivia, lifting her gently into her arms.
Olivia barely reacted, instinctively snuggling closer as she slept.
"You carry Ella," she instructed Althea.
Althea's eyes sparkled.
"Okay!"
She effortlessly lifted Ella into her arms.
"Let's go home, Ella!" she said excitedly.
Ella didn't resist.
She knew newborn gods were extremely fragile until they absorbed Primordial Forces, which was why they were born in hidden sanctuaries like this.
This was only the beginning.
The 18th HeavenAfter an hour of travel, they arrived.
The 18th Heaven—a divine land reserved for only the highest-ranking gods.
It was breathtaking. Golden palaces stretched into the endless sky, celestial homes floated amidst the clouds, and towering mountains pierced through radiant mist.
But its greatest feature was its adaptability—the realm itself shifted and transformed according to its ruler's will.
Within this paradise, Ella and Olivia were placed in a luxurious bedroom.
The bed was cloud-like, impossibly soft and bouncy.
The moment they touched it, they fell into a deep sleep.
For an entire day, they slept undisturbed.
Althea and their mother watched over them in silence.
Then—
Ding!
[System Notice] [The Twin Hosts have discovered a new area: The 18th Heaven. As a result, they have awakened their Primal Embers.]
Additional Reward: [Auto-Absorption: Primordial Forces] – Allows passive absorption of ambient Primordial Energy for one week.
As they slept, their bodies began to glow.
The Primordial Forces in the air surged toward them, flooding into their forms.
Ella's aura manifested as Abyssal Black, exuding destruction and an ominous presence.
Olivia's aura was Pure White, radiating creation and boundless potential.
Destruction and Creation.
Two opposing forces, yet existing in perfect harmony.
For an entire week, they slept.
Meanwhile, their family observed them in stunned silence.
Althea, especially, couldn't contain her excitement.
"Their Heaven-defying Talents are terrifying!" she reported frantically.
Their father, the head of the family, finally smiled.
"This is good," he said, his deep voice filled with satisfaction. "With them, we have a chance to elevate our home to the 20th Heaven. Our status will rise accordingly."
A future of endless possibilities had just begun.
