Chapter 11 - The Awakening – Alya’s Embrace

Revealing the Truth

The cold night air drifted through the open window as Akira sat on the couch, staring at his hand. Faint traces of silver energy pulsed through his veins, flickering like dying embers. His mind was still processing everything—the message from his parents, the power of Silverine, and the terrifying truth that All For One feared him.

He could feel it now. The power inside him. It was unlike anything he had ever experienced. It wasn't just a Quirk. It was something more. Something deeper, colder, more… alive.

And he hadn't told Alya yet.

He exhaled sharply, raking a hand through his dark hair. She deserved to know.

Turning his head, he found her sitting beside him, her silver hair cascading over her shoulders, her blue eyes filled with warmth and concern. She had been watching him ever since he returned from the lab.

"Alya." His voice was low, serious.

She tilted her head. "Yeah?"

His throat felt tight, but he forced himself to speak. "I need to tell you something. About… me."

She blinked, then nodded. "I'm listening, Aki."

Her trust in him never wavered. That made it even harder.

Akira closed his eyes for a moment before exhaling and extending his hand. A pulse of silver energy flickered to life. The air around them chilled instantly. Frost spread across the floor in delicate, intricate patterns. The very fabric of the couch hardened, as if turning into unbreakable steel.

Alya's eyes widened, but she didn't move away.

Instead, she slowly reached out, placing her warm hand over his.

The ice did not touch her.

His power refused to hurt her.

Akira swallowed. "I… I have another Quirk."

Akira's Guilt

He clenched his jaw, looking away. "I've been hiding something from you, Alya. My parents, before they died… they left me a message. They told me the truth about what I really am."

Alya didn't say anything. She just held his hand, waiting for him to continue.

"I wasn't born normal. My mother was exposed to something… an alien metal called Silverine." He took a shaky breath. "It changed me before I was even born. My adaptability, my inhuman growth, my ability to survive anything—it's all because of this power. And if I master it… I'll become an unstoppable force."

His grey eyes darkened. "The one who attacked us was All For One a powerful villain who has lived for centuries and you he feared the knowledge my parents had. That's why he killed my parents and your parents were dragged too."

Silence filled the room.

Akira forced himself to look at her, his chest tightening. "Alya… I don't know what this makes me." His voice was strained, quiet. "I don't know if I'm even human anymore."

"And I… I'm so sorry."

His voice broke slightly.

"I'm sorry for not telling you sooner. I'm sorry for dragging you into my darkness. I'm sorry that I keep changing, that I keep becoming… this." He clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palm. "I don't know what I'll become. I don't know if I'll still be me. And I… I don't want to lose you."

Alya's Support

Alya stared at him for a moment. Then, without warning—

She hugged him.

A soft, warm embrace.

Akira's eyes widened as he felt her arms wrap tightly around him, pulling him close. She buried her face in his chest, her small hands gripping his shirt.

"You idiot," she whispered. "You're still you."

Akira stiffened.

"I don't care what kind of power you have. I don't care if you're different. You're still the same Akira who protected me, who stayed by my side, who made sure I never felt alone."

She pulled back slightly, looking up at him. Her blue eyes were unwavering. "Do you really think I'd leave you just because of this?"

Akira felt something tighten in his chest.

"I…" He couldn't find the words.

Alya smiled softly and pressed her forehead against his. "Listen to me, Aki."

Her voice was gentle but firm. "You are not a monster. You are not a weapon. You are Akira Tachibana. The boy I love. The boy who makes me feel safe. The boy who promised to stay with me forever."

Akira felt his vision blur for a second.

He had always been strong. He had always endured everything on his own. But in this moment…

He realized he wasn't alone.

The Unshakeable Resolve

Alya leaned back slightly, smiling. "So? What's the plan now, genius?"

Akira let out a shaky chuckle, rubbing his forehead. "Plan?"

She grinned. "Yeah. You always have a plan."

He exhaled slowly, the weight in his chest finally easing.

"First, I master Silverine." His grey eyes turns light blue glowed faintly due Hawkeye activation. "Then… I make All For One regret everything he's done."

Alya smirked. "Sounds good. Just don't forget your other promise."

Akira raised an eyebrow. "Other promise?"

She pouted. "My dream, dummy. You said you'd make sure I become the best fashion designer in the world."

Akira chuckled. "Oh yeah. Can't forget that."

He ruffled her hair, his smirk returning. "Guess I've got a lot of work to do."

Alya giggled and leaned into his touch.

And for the first time since the tragedy—

Akira felt like he could breathe again.

'All for One you'll pay for all your sins I swear. Just you wait'
