Chapter 16 - First Day & Quirk Assessment Test

Arriving at U.A. – The Start of a New Chapter

The sun hung high over U.A. High School as students flooded the gates, some nervous, some excited, and some (like Akira) utterly unbothered.

Alya walked beside him, flipping through a fashion magazine. "So, what's the plan today, Mr. Lazy Genius?"

Akira, hands in his pockets, smirked. "Nothing much. Blend in. Act like a prodigy, but not too much to get suspicion. And most importantly…"

Alya raised an eyebrow.

He sighed dramatically. "Avoid attracting too much attention."

Alya chuckled. "You say that, but you already roasted that Iida guy during the exam."

As if summoned, Iida Tenya appeared before them, striking a dramatic pose. "Tachibana! Kujou! I must apologize for my rudeness during the entrance exam!"

Akira blinked. "Oh? You actually do have some self-awareness."

Iida coughed. "As your class representative, I must—"

"Woah, woah," Akira interrupted. "We don't even know if we're in the same class yet. And class rep? Who appointed you?"

Iida froze. "I…"

Alya giggled. "Well, that's one way to start the day."

1-A Classroom – Meeting Their New Classmates

As Akira and Alya stepped into Class 1-A, a chaotic mix of studen ts was already making themselves known.

Katsuki Bakugo was in an argument with Izuku Midoriya.

Shoto Todoroki sat quietly, observing everyone.

Ochako Uraraka waved excitedly at Midoriya.

Denki Kaminari and Mina Ashido were already chatting with others.

Akira took a seat near the window and immediately pulled out his portable console, ignoring everything.

Alya sat next to him, flipping her magazine. "They're loud."

"Annoyingly so," Akira muttered, his eyes still on his game.

Before any real conversations could begin—

SLAM!

The door slid open, revealing a tired-looking man in a yellow sleeping bag.

The class fell silent.

Shouta Aizawa, also known as Eraserhead, peered at them with dead eyes.

"It took you all eight seconds to quiet down. That's too long," he muttered. "I'm your homeroom teacher, Aizawa Shouta. Now put these on and head outside."

He tossed them gym uniforms.

"We're skipping orientation. There's no time for pointless introductions. We're doing a Quirk Assessment Test."

The class blinked.

"Wait, what?!"

---

Quirk Assessment Test – The First Challenge

The students stood on U.A.'s training field, now dressed in gym uniforms.

Aizawa eyed them. "You've been doing physical fitness tests all your life, but you weren't allowed to use your Quirks. Today, you will."

He turned to Bakugo. "Bakugo, how far could you throw a softball in middle school?"

"67 meters," Bakugo answered.

Aizawa tossed him a ball. "Now use your Quirk."

Bakugo grinned, wound up his arm, and—

"DIE!"

—blasted the ball into the sky with an explosion.

The device beeped.

705.2 meters.

The class gawked.

"WOOOOAHHH!"

"This looks fun!" Kaminari grinned.

Aizawa's eyes narrowed. "Fun, huh?"

His voice turned dark.

"Then let me make it clear. The one with the lowest score will be EXPELLED."

The atmosphere immediately changed.

Fear spread through the class.

"But sir!" Ochako spoke up. "That's not fair!"

Aizawa's dead eyes locked onto her. "Life isn't fair."

Silence.

---

Akira's Turn

As the tests progressed, everyone got to show off their Quirks.

Midoriya struggled without One for All but tried his best.

Todoroki used his ice to dominate most of the challenges.

Bakugo destroyed his events with explosions.

Alya used her telekinesis with precise control, outperforming even some of the best.

Then came Akira's turn.

He stepped forward, grabbing the softball.

Aizawa watched him carefully. Let's see what you're hiding.

"Sensei," Akira said lazily, tossing the ball in his hand. "You know my Quirk only enhances my eyesight, right? Didn't you read my report?"

(Come on I can clearly see you are doubting me. Well I only gave him one of my quirk . So I'm not lying)

Aizawa's eyes narrowed slightly.

He's lying.

But there was no proof.

"Just throw it," Aizawa ordered.

Akira sighed. Time to play the role.

He focused Hawkeye, adjusting his angle and stance with inhuman precision.

Then—

He threw the ball.

The moment it left his hand, it cut through the air like a bullet.

The device beeped.

700.4 meters.

Everyone stared.

"Wait… he only has enhanced vision, right?" Kaminari whispered.

"Then how the hell did he throw it so far?" Sero added.

Alya smirked. She knew exactly how.

(He used his insane physical strength and Hawkeye's predictive angle calculations. Even without his Silverine, he's terrifying…)

Other Tests – More Mind Games

For the remaining tests, Akira continued to hold back.

50-Meter Dash – He got 3.8 seconds, making sure it wasn't too inhuman.

Grip Strength – He stopped at 350kg, pretending to struggle.

Long Jump – He cleared it, but not too flashy.

Despite "holding back," his scores were still among the highest.

Aizawa kept watching.

This kid is dangerous.

Final Rankings & Aizawa's Verdict

Once all the tests were done, Aizawa gathered the results.

1st: Shoto Todoroki (unsurprisingly)

2nd: Alya Kujou (telekinesis mastery)

3rd: Katsuki Bakugo (explosive scores)

4th: Akira Tachibana (his "lazy genius" act)

Midoriya, unfortunately, ranked last.

Aizawa stared at him. "You're expelled."

The class gasped.

But then—

"I was lying."

Midoriya blinked. "Wait… what?"

Aizawa sighed. "If I expelled someone on the first day, the school would hate me."

The class exhaled in relief.

"That being said…" Aizawa glanced at Akira who was playing with his console and Alya who was reading the magazine without a care in the world.

"You two… are interesting."

Akira just smirked without even looking up while Alya just shrug it off.
