Chapter 13: The Queen's Trial
The city screamed as it burned.
Lucian watched from the rooftop, sipping a glass of wine as the infected tore apart what remained of human civilization. This was their punishment for weakness.
And yet, one woman intrigued him.
She fought through the chaos with a blade in one hand and a pistol in the other. Her violet eyes burned with a fire he had yet to see in anyone else.
She was different.
And Lucian would make her his.

A Game of Survival
Lucian's system activated.
[Evaluating Female Beauty…]
[Score: 96. Perfect.]
He smirked. This one was worth keeping.
But she wasn't ready yet.
She needed to suffer. To struggle.
Only then would she understand the true value of his invitation.
Lucian disabled the turrets guarding the alley she was heading toward.
Immediately, a wave of infected poured in.
She froze, realizing too late that she had walked into a trap.
Lucian leaned forward, eyes gleaming.
Show me your worth.

The Queen's Dance
She moved like a storm, cutting through the infected with brutal precision.
Gunshots rang through the air. Each bullet found its mark.
When she ran out of ammo, she switched to her sword, her movements as fluid as a predator in its prime.
But Lucian wasn't done testing her.
He pressed a button. The second wave arrived.
Faster, stronger, evolved zombies.
Her violet eyes widened. For the first time, she looked afraid.
Now we see what you're really made of.

The Offer
She fought until her arms trembled.
Blood soaked her torn clothes, her breaths ragged as the last corpse fell at her feet.
She had won.
Lucian finally spoke.
"Interesting. You have potential."
She whirled around, gun raised. But she was out of bullets.
Lucian stepped forward. "Kneel."
She glared at him. Defiant. Beautiful.
But in the end, she fell to her knees.
Lucian smirked.
"Good girl."
