"Today marks the graduation ceremony for all of you in your senior year. It is also the day you prepare to enter the Battlefield of Eternal Races and strive to become extraordinary."
"Currently, the Solaris Nation's front lines are in crisis. Regardless of the talents you awaken, do not lose hope—the nation needs your strength."
"That is all. Dismissed."
With that, the principal of Dawn High School ended his speech, and the students began to leave the field.
Only one person stood frozen in place—Lukas.
"Wasn't I killed on the Battlefield of Eternal Races by a group of foreign elites? How am I back here?" Lukas muttered, staring at the dispersing students with disbelief.
This scene…
It was the same as his high school graduation, from before he had entered the battlefield in his past life.
Somehow, he had been reborn.
"Lukas, don't feel discouraged," said a soft, comforting voice. A bright and cheerful girl approached him with a smile. "Plenty of people with weaker talents have still managed to succeed on the battlefield."
The girl's name was Mia, his closest companion and someone who had grown up with him in the orphanage. Over the years, they had formed an unbreakable bond.
"Yeah, Lukas, don't give up," said another voice. This one belonged to a stunningly beautiful young woman who walked up to him, her expression warm but firm. "Doesn't your grandfather's family still have that Divine Awakening Stone he left for you? Even if your current talent is only C-rank, with that stone, you could awaken a divine talent. With that, you'd definitely rise above the others on the battlefield."
The young woman, Serena, was Lukas' girlfriend. She wasn't just a beauty but also the daughter of the powerful Noxbourne Family, a clan protected by one of the Solaris Nation's few Divine Realm powerhouses.
Lukas snapped out of his daze and nodded at the two women.
This world was a fusion of reality and game-like mechanics.
At the age of 18, every individual awakened a unique talent, categorized into ranks: E, D, C, B, A, S, and Divine. Beyond these, there were also hidden and special talents.
People used their talents to enter the Battlefield of Eternal Races, a realm of constant war where killing and leveling up granted extraordinary abilities.
Lukas' background was far from ordinary. He was the eldest son of the Greyson Family, one of the ten Divine Realm families in the Solaris Nation.
Yet his life was anything but privileged. Due to his parents' favoritism, Lukas had been sent away from the family estate. His father, Marcus Greyson, claimed it was to "temper his resilience" and help him succeed on the battlefield.
Meanwhile, Lukas' younger twin brother, Cain, enjoyed a life of luxury, surrounded by wealth, fast cars, and beautiful women.
The situation was painfully ironic.
Fortunately, Lukas' grandfather, Maxim Greyson, had always been a staunch supporter of his grandson. A Divine Realm powerhouse with a level exceeding 500, Maxim had once obtained a Divine Awakening Stone from the battlefield.
He declared, "This stone is for Lukas to use after he turns 18."
But six years ago, during a decisive battle against the Abyssal Races, Maxim had gone missing in the Abyssal Depths. Without him, the Greyson Family began scheming over the stone.
In Lukas' previous life, when he awakened his C-rank talent at school, he had rushed home to claim the stone his grandfather had promised him.
But instead of support, he had faced betrayal.
...
With Maxim Greyson gone, Lukas' parents and the family elders decided to give the Divine Awakening Stone to Cain instead.
Cain, who had already awakened a divine talent, gained a second divine talent after using the stone. This transformed him into an unstoppable force on the battlefield, elevating the Greyson Family's prestige.
Lukas, meanwhile, struggled with his C-rank talent. On the battlefield, his growth was painfully slow, and he was ultimately ambushed and killed by foreign elites in a hidden realm.
Now, reborn, Lukas clenched his fists, determination surging through him.
"This time, it's going to end differently. Let's see if the Greyson Family will choose Cain over me again."
After bidding farewell to Mia and Serena, Lukas returned to the Greyson estate.
The result, however, was the same.
After a heated discussion, the family decided once again to give the Divine Awakening Stone to Cain. With two divine talents, Cain's potential was deemed far superior, making him the family's best bet for future success.
Betrayed once more, Lukas severed all ties with the Greyson Family.
"I no longer have any connection to this family," he declared coldly, walking away.
As he turned and left, an unexpected notification echoed in his mind:
[Ding! Congratulations to the host for severing worldly ties and awakening the
Supreme Unique Talent: Tenfold Growth. Each level grants ten times the attributes.
Leveling up once equals others leveling up ten times.]
Lukas froze in shock.
What was that?
Had he just awakened a new talent? And not just any talent—it was a Supreme Unique Talent?
In his previous life, Divine talents were considered the pinnacle. Yet now, he had awakened something beyond that.
Excitement surged through him. With this talent, every level he gained would be the equivalent of others gaining ten levels.
"This time… I'll truly become invincible," he whispered, a cold smile forming on his face.
...
Shortly after leaving the Greyson estate, Lukas received a message from Serena.
"Lukas, how did it go? Did you get the Divine Awakening Stone?"
Lukas replied truthfully: "No, the Greyson Family gave it to Cain. I've also cut ties with them."
At the Noxbourne Family estate, the clan elders read Lukas' reply.
"So, the Greyson Family chose Cain over Lukas," one elder commented. "Honestly, it's the logical choice. Cain's potential with two divine talents is far greater."
Another elder nodded. "As for Lukas, with only a C-rank talent, he's destined for mediocrity."
Serena's uncle turned to her. "You should reconsider your relationship with Lukas. With your A-rank talent and the additional B-rank Awakening Stone we gave you, your potential far surpasses his."
Serena nodded silently.
Moments later, Lukas received another message from her:
"I understand, Lukas. We're about to enter the beginner trials in the battlefield. Let's focus on our own paths and keep some distance from now on."
Lukas chuckled coldly.
"So, she's leaving me now that I've lost everything?"
He hadn't mentioned his newly awakened Supreme Talent. There was no need to tell her. She was the same as in his previous life, and he had no interest in changing her mind.
Replying with a simple "Okay," Lukas felt a sense of relief.
"Classic," he muttered.
Abandoned by family, dumped by his girlfriend, and ridiculed by the world—only to awaken a game-breaking talent.
"If this isn't the start of a chosen one's story, then I don't know what is."
