" Are you sure?" I demanded of the fidgety figure standing in front of me, narrowing my eyes at him.
" I already told you." He whined.
" YOU HAVEN'T ANSWERED MY QUESTION?" I thundered.
" Yes, yes." He rushed to reply.
" I was there when he found her and also when she healed him of his malady just by touching him." He added.
" Hmmmmm." I said leaning back in my seat and reflexively stroking my chin in thought.
" You may leave now." I said nonchalantly, waving out him out, and reaching into my to get a cigar.
" Wh.... what?" He sputtered.
" I said you can leave." I repeated cutting off the cigar end with one neat bite.
" Aren't you going to do anything about the information I gave you?" He asked.
" Of course I am." I replied reaching into my other pocket for a matchbox to light my cigar.
" Tell me about it then." He demanded, clearly forgetting which of the two of us made demands.
" Since when do I keep you apprised of my plans and decisions?" I demanded, glaring hard at him as I spoke.
" I'm sorry." He apologized meekly.
" Of course you are." I snapped.
" You seem to have forgotten who answers to whom in this partnership, when I feel you need to know anything I'll be sure to let you know, now scram before I decide to put your head on a spike." I added.
He was gone in five seconds, pulling his cloak up to cover his face as he ran.
Leaning back in my seat I took a long puff of my cigar and smiled in appreciation. This was one thing the humans certainly got right.
So Aiden had gotten himself a mate huh? I wondered finally processing the information my fidgety little friend had brought me, a wolf-less weakling at that and yet her touch could heal him of his malady. This was surely an enigmatic woman, one I had to meet, not surely because she was an intriguing woman but also because I couldn't afford to have her remain with Aiden.
I had worked so hard and so long to let this woman, whoever she was, ruin my plans, no I couldn't allow that. If she could cure Aiden's malady even for a little while even for a little while and put him to sleep just by touch.
The goddess alone knew what she could do when Aiden finally marked her and took her. She just might heal him and I couldn't have that.
I needed Aiden to be sick, I was counting on the vulnerability his malady brought upon him to ensure he was too weak for a counter attack when I finally attached his pack.
Puffing out the cigar, I stuffed its stump back into my pocket for later and went in search of my special messenger. It was time to summon my little s*x doll. I had a job,one I knew she would enjoy.

At first I was sure Xena and the other maids were playing a practical joke on me to get me in trouble with the Alpha.
So I smiled at Xena and pretended like I understood and believed her story, but as soon as she was gone,I rushed into the bathroom for the fastest bath of my life, returned to the bathroom on a run, threw on my clothes, snatched up the tray of food and rushed out of the room ready to run to the chief servant and present myself for today's drudgery.
However, I got the shock of my life when she took the tray out of my hands, presented me with a picnic basket and told me to get myself out of there before the Alpha came in and saw me and punished her for keeping me in the quarters when he had expressly ordered that I was to be given three days away from work.
When I still stood there dumbfounded and refused to move, she grabbed my hands and practically dragged me out.
When I finally got over my shock, I decided I might as well take advantage of this before the alpha realized his mistake and ordered for me to be put back to work. I was sorely tempted to return to my room and get some desperately needed sleep but I quickly changed my mind when I realized that the alpha could change his mind at any point during the day and returning to my room would be making myself a sitting duck, easy to find and be sent back to work.
I might as well make this harder for him, after all it was his decision. It wouldn't hurt to have him search for me, it might even be amusing to watch if I got a good perch.
With that thought in mind, I headed for the forest where Alpha Aiden had kissed me and I changed into a wolf.
Perhaps I could try changing into a wolf again, although I had no idea how I was supposed to go about that or I could just climb up a tree and get some sleep, after I gorged myself on whatever delicious delicacies were in the picnic basket of course.
I was so looking forward to this. With a smile on my face, I hooked an arm through the picnic basket and skipped into the forest.
SELENA
I felt my hands curl into fists as I watched her skip into the forest with a smile on her face. " Stupid b*tch, I'm going to wipe that smile off your face soon." I promised her.
Stupid cow!!!!! And to think that Chris was telling that c*ck and bull story of her being the Alpha's mate. Total codswallop, did he really think he could pull the wool over my eyes so easily. Hell no, I wasn't that gullible.
If he had gotten too soft to do what I wanted him to do, I would handle it myself or even get Cosmo to get rid of her.
I had worked too hard and too long to become Aiden's bride to let some silly stupid wolf-less b*tch from the boondocks take it away from him.
I don't know what she had done to Aiden and his wolf to make them think he was their rightful mate but I was sure that as soon as I got rid of her I would undo it and finally get him to fall in love with me and make me his bride.
She certainly was no match for me, I had gotten rid of Valerie, getting rid of her would be as easy picking my teeth after a tasty meal of venison.
All those would however have to wait for a little while, Cosmo had just sent for me.
AIDEN
Against my better judgment I found myself leaning out of my bedroom window to watch her skipping into the forest, a huge smile on her face, I even found myself smiling as I watched through my super human wolf vision as she set her basket on the floor of twigs and shimmied up a tree, her laughter ringing out in tinkling peals.
I swallowed hard as I watched her trim behind swing as she hung to one of the upper branches with her arms and swallowed back and forth, however I balked when my wolf suggested I go to her and make her mine.
" No, no." I firmly protested, turning away from the window and going into the bathroom to wash for breakfast, blatantly trying to ignore the growing erection in my breeches and failing woefully I might add.
" No." I protested again when my wolf once more suggested that we go into the woods and Claim our mate.
" I'll ask my beta to bring me a maiden after breakfast." I decided instead. Selena has always been willing, I'm sure this time won't be an exception.
NINE HOURS LATER
" Please be calm Alpha, I'm sure she's fine." My beta tried to comfort me.
" She's been gone for nine hours Chris, NINE HOURS." How can she be fine? I thundered.
" Maybe her wolf went for a run or she fell asleep or something." He tried to be the voice of reason.
