Chapter 3 - Chapter 3. The Power Woman

AVA'S POV.

 That was it!

 Enough is enough!!

This was the third time I was cleaning this place, but it seemed that the Alpha has sworn within himself to deal with me.

 I was tired of everything!

Tired of this life, Tired of the rejections from my family and the pack members, Tired of sufferings and Tired of Pains.

 "But what do I do?"

It wasn't like I had any idea on what to do, to stop all the sufferings.

He made me his closest maid, and the only one in charge of his belongings earning jealousy from other maids—but they didn't just understand!!

They weren't able to understand what I was going through—

My mind flashed back to how I became a slave to him, and how he said my parents didn't have any issues with it.

Well—I didn't deny it because I knew what they were capable of doing..

I wouldn't deny the fact that I was pained, but I have learnt to live life the way it is—

Coming to this mansion— I was made to see twice the wickedness I faced in my parents house.

I was shocked because I never knew that he meant every single word he said that day, and that was when I became aware that I made a very terrible mistake—

It wasn't supposed to be like this!

How could I have even sensed that this place would be worse than what I experienced at home.

I needed to be free—and I was willing to do anything even if it meant me going to apologize so he'd forgive me for the insults I rained on him the day we met.

But how would I?

"It isn't even like he'd give me a listening ear," I thought because I had managed to know the kind of person he was.

"He's a dangerous, a wicked man and also heartless!" I thought and sighed, "I just wonder how the elders were able to appoint someone as wicked and heartless like this as the Alpha of the pack," I thought and breathed deeply.

"This mouth," I groaned slapping my mouth really hard, before standing on my feet.

I walked towards the Alpha's chambers because I knew that was where he was—the Beta had even visited him earlier.

"What if the Beta makes it possible for me, by joining me to plead for forgiveness in the hands of the Alpha," I thought and snapped my fingers hoping it would work.

I was already standing before the door, still scared and confused about the current move I wanted to take.

I knocked slightly on the door, but didn't hear any response...until the door opened slightly—

My eyes caught sight of what I'd never thought I'll see in my entire life.

The Alpha—running around the room like a deranged person, with his hands covering his ears and the Beta was after him, trying to calm him down.

I opened the door widely as I walked into the room, and that was when the Beta sighted me—and asked me to leave.

But I just couldn't! I couldn't bring myself to leave as I felt the Alpha needed my help.

"I said you should leave!" The Beta ordered, but my mind wasn't even in what he was saying.

"What happened to him?" I asked the Beta, this time—impatient!

"I asked you to—" He was saying when he got interrupted by the cries of the Alpha, making the both of us turn to stare at him.

He quickly soundproofed the room, and turned to me with his eyes misty— "I said that you should leave!" He ordered, and that was it.

The Alpha's voice came out this time loud and clear, "Please leave me," He screamed, holding his head in tears.

"I didn't do anything to you, just please go!" He kept on pleading, and I felt pity for him.

"I'm trying my best to find them, but I've not seen them," He said, as tears fell freely on his face this time around.

"I'm so sorry," His cries became louder, as he still held his head like someone was saying hurtful things to him in his head.

Instantly—I felt this force, more like a compelling force.

I didn't know what I was doing, but all I thought that moment was to touch the Alpha's head with the hope he calms down.

The Beta tried to block my way when I shot him an icy glare which made him move backwards in shock....

I walked towards the Alpha, and held his head for a minute with my eyes closed—and that was it.

He fell asleep, and I laid him on the floor slowly still in shock about what just happened.

I glanced at his face to notice that he slept off in pain, and his face said it all.

I heaved heavily, still wondering about what just happened—and if he was really mentally deranged as I had always thought.

"Please lay him on the bed so he'd sleep well," I said, but didn't get any response from the Beta— and that was when I quickly glanced at the Beta to see him stare at me with a look of surprise—

"What just—" I interrupted him by running out of the room towards the maid chambers, closing the door behind me as I rested on it.

"What in the heavens' name happened?" I asked myself as I facepalmed myself in shock.

"What did I just do?" I asked myself, staring at my hands in utter disbelief.

"Was I able to calm him down?" I asked myself as the events that happened in the room kept on replaying in my head.

This was obviously absurd and ridiculous!

"Like how possible is it, that his most hated maid was the one capable of calming him down," I wondered and shook my head.

"Nothing of that sort happened," I kept on repeating these words to myself, but it wasn't working as the events kept on coming to my mind.

"Stop!" I growled, holding my head as I tried to stop the thoughts from sneaking into my head.
