Merslin and Elena set off from the Mage's Tower in Luminaria to investigate reports of strange creatures appearing deep within the forest. As they ventured further in, they remained on high alert, determined to uncover the cause of the villagers' growing fears.
Just as they were carefully navigating through the dense woods, a sudden ambush took them by surprise.
A horde of goblins and monstrous wolves emerged from the shadows, surrounding them.
Elena reacted instantly. "Hwayeom-gu (Fireball)!" A burst of flames erupted from her hands, scorching several goblins.
At that moment, a desperate cry rang out from deeper within the forest.
"Help me!"
A young woman's voice, filled with urgency.
Merslin and Elena exchanged a quick glance before dashing toward the sound.
They soon spotted a young woman with chestnut-colored hair and warm brown eyes, fleeing from the attacking monsters.
"Elena, we have to help her!" Merslin shouted.
Elena nodded, quickly chanting another spell. "Seorihwasal (Frost Arrow)!" A barrage of icy projectiles shot through the air, freezing several monsters in place.
Merslin readied his weapon, a whip crackling with electricity.
"Jinno (Lightning Whip)!" he called out.
With a crackle of energy, his whip lashed out, electrifying the goblins upon impact. His attacks were precise and powerful, sending the creatures collapsing to the ground one by one.
The young woman, relieved, gasped for breath.
"Thank you so much. My name is Aria. I was being chased by these monsters."
Merslin offered a reassuring smile. "It's alright, Aria. We're Merslin and Elena. We're just glad we could help."
Together, the three of them returned to the village.
The villagers, upon hearing of their victory, gathered to express their gratitude.
"You've saved our village! We can't thank you enough!" one villager exclaimed.
Merslin turned to Aria. "Aria, how did you end up here?"
She explained, "I was working as a healer in a small village, but monsters started attacking. I came here seeking help."
Elena nodded. "Your healing abilities are valuable, Aria. You could help many people."
Aria smiled warmly. "I'd be happy to. If I can help others, then I want to do my best."
She quickly began tending to the injured villagers, using her magic and herbal knowledge to ease their pain.
Merslin and Elena watched in admiration as Aria's gentle touch and powerful healing magic worked wonders.
"Aria, you're incredible," a villager said with tears in their eyes. "You've saved so many lives."
Merslin placed a hand on Aria's shoulder. "Thank you, Aria. Your kindness has saved many people today."
Aria blushed slightly. "I only did what I could."
After completing their mission, Merslin and Elena made an offer.
"Aria, why don't you join us? Your healing skills would be a great asset on our journey."
Aria hesitated for a moment before nodding. "I would love to. If traveling with you means helping more people, then I want to be part of it."
And so, Aria joined Merslin and Elena, strengthening their team and solidifying their bond as companions.
The Crisis in Luminaria Village
One quiet morning, Merslin and Elena received an urgent summons from the Mage's Guild. Without delay, they rushed to the guild's headquarters.
"Merslin, Elena, Lisa, and Aria," the Guildmaster addressed them gravely. "A powerful monster is threatening Luminaria Village. It's up to you to eliminate it."
Upon arriving at the village, they questioned the frightened villagers.
"A monster appears every night, destroying crops and attacking livestock!" one villager pleaded. "Please, you must help us!"
Merslin exchanged glances with Lisa and Aria before nodding.
Lisa quickly tracked the monster's trail.
"This way. Follow me," she said, moving swiftly through the forest.
Merslin and Elena followed closely, while Aria, nervous about her first real battle, trailed behind them cautiously.
The deeper they ventured, the darker and eerier the forest became. Strange noises echoed around them.
Lisa whispered, "Something feels off. Stay alert—there might be traps."
Just as she spoke, a hidden trap triggered in front of them.
Merslin swiftly disabled it with magic, allowing them to pass safely.
Finally, they arrived at the monster's lair.
A deep, guttural growl sent chills down their spines as the creature emerged from the shadows.
It was a giant, two-headed wolf, its fangs glistening with flames flickering between its jaws.
"Stay sharp!" Merslin warned, conjuring a magical shield just in time to block the monster's fiery breath.
Elena cast an ice spell, attempting to slow its movements.
"Seorihwasal (Frost Arrow)!" she chanted, launching a volley of icy spears.
Lisa engaged it in direct combat, slashing with her sword.
Aria trembled as she tried to focus, but her hands shook too much to cast a proper healing spell.
"Aria, focus!" Elena called out.
Panicked, Aria finally managed to cast a spell—but accidentally healed Merslin's foot instead of Lisa's wounds.
"Hey, wrong target!" Merslin yelped, momentarily breaking the tension as Lisa smirked.
Lisa managed to wound the beast, but it retaliated, sinking its fangs into her shoulder.
Though she fought through the pain, her face turned slightly red.
"Ugh… Can't believe I got bitten in such an embarrassing place…" she muttered.
Merslin looked concerned. "Lisa, are you okay?"
Aria, regaining her composure, rushed to heal her.
"I'm fine… Just a little embarrassed," Lisa replied, forcing a smirk.
As Aria tended to her wounds, her face flushed slightly as well.
"It'll be okay. I'll heal you right away."
Merslin teased, "Next time, try getting bitten somewhere less awkward."
Lisa shot him a glare, her cheeks deepening in color. "Next time, you take the bite instead."
Despite the momentary humor, they quickly refocused.
"Merslin, the monster is weakening!" Elena shouted.
Sensing their chance to finish it off, Merslin unleashed a powerful final attack.
"Hwayeom-gu (Fireball)!" he roared, summoning a massive wave of flames.
The monster roared in defiance, summoning one last fiery explosion before collapsing.
Thanks to Aria's swift healing, they recovered in time.
With Lisa's brute strength, Elena's magic, and Merslin's tactical guidance, they delivered a perfectly coordinated final blow, striking both of the creature's heads simultaneously.
The beast let out a final, agonized howl before falling lifeless.
"Well done, everyone," Merslin said between breaths.
Aria smiled as she healed their remaining wounds. "Let's return to the village."
