Solo Leveling: The Sparda Heir
Chapter 2: The Might of Go Gun
A Legend in the Making
Washington, D.C.
United States Hunter Bureau Headquarters.
The Kamish Gate.
The most terrifying dungeon in human history.
Ten years ago, the world had witnessed the wrath of an Absolute Being—a dragon so powerful that it single-handedly wiped out entire battalions of the strongest hunters.
Its name?
Kamish.
An existence so overwhelming that only the strongest hunters on Earth had managed to put it down.
Even then, they had paid a devastating price.
And now, the U.S. had discovered something unthinkable.
The Kamish Gate had reopened.
Unlike before, this wasn't a dungeon break—this was an entirely new gate, a catastrophic S-Rank dungeon located in the heart of America.
And every hunter on the planet knew one thing.
If this gate spawned another dragon on Kamish's level, humanity was doomed.
A Volunteer Appears
In the middle of the tense discussions at the U.S. Hunter Bureau Headquarters, an unexpected visitor arrived.
A young man, silver-haired, clad in a dark coat, exuding an unimaginable aura.
He walked in as if he owned the place, his piercing blue eyes scanning the gathered hunters with cold indifference.
Adam White, the highest-ranking officer of the U.S. Bureau, frowned.
"Who is this?"
One of the agents hesitated before whispering, "Sir… He's Korean. Name's Go Gun. He's the eldest son of Korea's Hunter Association Chairman, Go Gun-Hee."
Murmurs spread across the room.
"The Chairman has a son?"
"I thought he was a civilian?"
"Why is he here?"
Go Gun, formerly known as Go Tetsuya, merely smiled as he sat down.
"I heard you needed hunters for the Kamish Gate," he said calmly. "I'm here to volunteer."
Silence.
Then, a burst of laughter erupted from Thomas Andre—the world's strongest hunter and one of the Five National Level Hunters.
"Kid, do you even know what you're signing up for?" Thomas smirked, arms crossed. "This ain't some playground. We're talking about a gate that could wipe out entire countries."
Go Gun met his gaze without flinching.
"I know exactly what I'm signing up for."
The room fell silent again.
The sheer confidence in his voice unnerved even the strongest hunters present.
Then, a pressure filled the room.
An invisible force, suffocating, overwhelming—absolute.
The hunters froze.
Their instincts screamed at them.
Predator.
Even Thomas Andre, a National Level Hunter, felt it.
It was a sensation he hadn't felt in years. Not since Kamish.
Go Gun slowly stood up, his coat shifting slightly.
"If you want proof of my strength," he said, voice steady, "then I'll show you."
With a flick of his wrist, he reached for his sword—Yamato.
The moment his fingers touched the hilt—
The entire building shook.
Space rippled.
Walls distorted, bending like liquid. The air itself seemed to tear apart.
It lasted for only a second.
But that second was enough.
Enough to make every hunter in the room break into a cold sweat.
Go Gun released his grip. The distortion vanished instantly.
He looked at Adam White.
"Now, do I qualify?"
Adam swallowed. His instincts told him that if they denied this man… it would be a mistake.
A massive mistake.
With a shaky nod, he gave the order.
"Prepare his deployment."
Go Gun smirked.
The Kamish Gate was about to meet its true nightmare.
